   Unfortunately the advertised menu online was not available due to the chef leaving hence a limited menu. We chose this pub as the veggie menu was extent and 4 of us were vegetarian/vegan. Service was slow due to shortage of staff. The lady behind the bar was on her own a lot. She coped well considering two football teams turned up for drinks and food. Not good value for money with meals provided on the day.

   It was a very good lunch. Staff were intentive and friendly felt really homely and friendly. Food was outstanding and can't wait to return

   Amazing food. So glad I waited whilst the chef made my starter from scratch as it tasted divine! Refrained from desserts but only as they had run out of the one we wanted. Decent prices and great service. Thank you

   Booked this because it was half way between my mum's and myself. I will not be returning. The menu looked as though it was printed from word on a but of tatty paper which wasn't even laminated. The service was slow we there was only 1 lady trying to serve a whole room full of diners. My partners pie looked packed brought. Long story short I will not be returning

   We were a party of 7 - 5 adults and 2 babies and went to Eight Bells for Sunday lunch. We travelled from Crawley and Forest Row to check it out. We arrived for a 3.30 booking and were welcomed by lovely staff. Our table was set out for us and the staff were constantly checking to see if they could do anything more for us to make sure we had a good time. They were brilliant. The food was delicious start to finish (we all had starters, mains and desserts) and oh my goodness the gravy on the Sunday roast was divine! After our meal, we moved to the bar area where there are comfy sofas and the babies had great fun walking up and down the ramp between the restaurant and bar area. The ladies and customers were so down to earth and welcoming, playing with the babies etc and we all commented that it was like a real homely place that you'd love to have as your local. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back as really enjoyed our afternoon out.

   Very nice little pub. Friendly staff. Service a bit slow but food very nice and dessert was superb. Would recommend and will go back again.

    Had suffered a power cut that morning so limited menu. Waitress was outstanding given the circumstances. Unfortunately, food not brilliant and was denied use of the Gourmet Society card by the manageress (?) as I hadn't mentioned it when booking online.
