   Wonderful staff and food. Staff was kind enough to wait for us, as we ran late. They were at the end of their day closing out, but still made sure to hold our table and serve our meal with dessert and refills. It was excellent. The seafood wasn’t overcooked, but perfectly prepared!

   Special place to dine in a classy old Florida atmosphere. The food menu offers many southern favorites. Cocktails are grand. Sit back and enjoy a view of the spring.

    We enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Lodge this weekend. The food was fresh and delicious. We had the shrimp and grits and the pan seared chicken. We finished it off with a fresh piece of pecan pie that was amazing. We would definitely go back!

    Returned for a birthday celebration, to see if things were any better from the Thanksgiving Buffet we attended in 2022. The food was WAY better and as always the service was great. We ordered Liver/Onions, 1 side of Veggie Medley, came with it and had dessert of Tiramisu (YUMMY GOOD), Fried Shrimp, Salad, Cheesecake was the other order. ALL were cooked and fixed to perfection. To mention negatives, there was no bread or crackers offered, with meal, plus they only offer 1 side instead of 2, with entree, and the poor quality seating (old black chairs) at tables were sub-par. Last comment to Wakulla Springs, they said they were going to replace the worn out dining room chairs, but as of this dinner, they had not. They are very heavy to move, too low for elderly people to get out of, and when seated at the table, you feel like you need a "booster" seat to raise you up so you can eat. Some of the chairs are split, as well, in the seat, and would be easy to snag any delicate fabric or clothing. Nice atmosphere, quiet and will return.

    This was our sixth time eating at The Edward Ball Dining Room at Wakulla Springs and it was by far the worst experience out of all of them because of our server Macie. She was rude, inattentive, and possessed no customer service skills. I’ve been treated better by the cashier at McDonalds buying a 99 cent sausage biscuit than I was by Macie after I dropped over a hundred dollars on dinner. The menu has been updated, I get it inflation, but the entrée’s only come with one side now and the prices have been raised. Overall, I still highly recommend this restaurant. I just forewarn you if your server is named Macie get up and leave.

    The first evening we feel welkome and we had a great time. The second evening was a little dissapointing.There was a large group of people for Some kind of an event. There were not enough chairs so we had to sit in a plastic one. They were uncomfortable. The food came to quick. We were still eat our starters when the entree was served. The quility of the food was fine.

    We spent the afternoon at Wakulla Springs, walking the trails and enjoying the Jungle Cruise. We ended our long afternoon with a delicious and very relaxed dinner at the Edward Ball Dining Room. It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon and evening!

    We highly recommend the filet mignon. They have full liquor bar and restaurant is on the site of beautiful Wakulla Springs. We recommend going early by 2 hours and taking the little river boat ride.

    I hadn't been to the Lodge to eat in several years, but it was still delicious! We took out of town guests, who are foodies, and they no only raved about the food but the atmosphere. From the music, to the floor to the original restaurant chairs, you just don't get this type of "history" feel at any other restaurant. Our table had the smoked fish, which was delicious, as an appetizer. For entrees, we had the chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, shrimp dinner and beef liver and onions. Everyone thought their meal was perfect. I had the best collard greens I've ever had since my grandmother died. I will definitely go back.

    1930s charm in rustic lodge. Food quite good..we had tasty fish tacos, moist fried chicken and a warm chocolate lava cake. Try to secure one of the window tables for a view of the property. Returned for breakfast with a terrific server. The portions were very generous. The fresh fruit plate with yogurt and granola was a welcome change from travel meals. My husband had eggs, bacon, ham, toast, grits (which he really enjoyed). When we booked our room, they offered a bed and breakfast option so these were selected from the voucher menu, which had plenty of appealing options.

    Other diners, who came in after we did, were served earlier than we were. One server was excellent- we saw her over and over again helping other diners. Our server definitely did not hustle. So, lunch took about 1 and 1/2 hours. Maybe it was not her fault, but we did not see her hustle at all.

    We love this historic lodge. We have been here for many different occasions and it never disappoints. At the dining room, the food is simple and delicious. Our server was gracious and helpful. My husband and I even shared a delicious dessert. It was a very special, lovely evening.

    We haven’t been to the The Lodge in 20 years, and it did not disappoint. It’s historical integrity remains intact (A/C and WiFi have been added) and it looks much like it did when opened in 1937. I had fried shrimp, hush puppies, grilled asparagus, gumbo, and fries. The shrimp were probably the best I’ve ever had; crispy and tasty. The batter didn’t overwhelm the shellfish. Hush puppies were a little bite of heaven, so light and fluffy! My husband had pan fried chicken breast with lemon butter caper sauce, and it was equally fantastic. Both servings were ample, and we had leftovers tge next evening. If you go for lunch, be sure to check out the soda fountain. Since the Lodge sits in a state park, outdoor activities (boat rides, hiking, swimming - in season! - are available. This Florida gem is well worth the trip.

    We had lunch after our boat trip & it was lovely to sit in the dining room & look out at the springs. The table & chairs are not comfortable & need to be changed, but we the food is very good & well prepared. We will return.

    The Dining Room chairs must be replaced. My husband was immediately flipped back on to the floor. An unacceptable way to start a dining experience. People at nearby tables asked if he was okay. Our waiter was informed but was extremely busy to assure the chair was removed. I informed the person clearing tables. Both staff appreciated our informing them.

    The log fire was crackling in the lobby fireplace and the manatees were visible in the river out the windows in the dining room. It's an old Florida kind of place and absolutely lovely.
