This is a wonderful place for breakfast. I love to go there.
The Edward Ball estate is absolutely beautiful and a real treat to visit; there are historical photos and signs to enrich the experience. We had breakfast in the ballroom and it wasn’t very crowded but I believe there was a private party (post wedding brunch) in another area, so service wasn’t terribly quick and some of the food was a luke-warm when it came out. Everything was tasty and we all loved the traditional ham steak with our breakfasts; portions were good and the price was affordable.
We had a great experience celebrating my sons college graduation! The food was amazing! Love the ambience of the place!
We stayed at the lodge and had breakfast here. It was really good.
All of our meals were great. We chose the meal plan...not sure why it was different than the regular menu..that was a little disheartening. We chose only one dinner so we could try something local but decided next time we will do all meals there. The prices were comparable to local restaurants without ever having to leave.. besides we have 3 kids and never take the time to spoil ourselves with a nice dinner out so it was extra special to us. All around pleased.
The breakfast was delicious and the service by Sidney was outstanding. A great deal for the money. We really enjoyed ourselves.
One of us had the grilled shrimp. I had shrimp and grits. The preparation was was unusually flavorful. We needn’t have bothered with an appetizer.
As always, we love to eat here; fried shrimp is always delicious; liver & onions was fantastic, cheesecake wonderful as well as Tiramisu. Servers are always friendly and helpful. We love this place!
Perhaps because of COVID precautions, the ambience was less appealing. When you changed from China to chipped white plates and dirty stainless I missed the pleasure of dining here.
Just moved back to this area and decided to try the E. B. Dining Room. Everyone in our party thought the experience was great and we are all looking forward to having dinner their again.
Arrive early so you can enjoy the beauty of the Park.
Glad to see the Springs are getting back to normal.
Thanks for a great time,
All four entrees at our table were perfectly cooked. If we lived closer this would be a frequent dinner spot. Thanks for a lovely evening.
Food was excellent (stuffed shrimp, caesar salad, fried chicken thighs) were well prepared and tasty. Service was courteous but seemed to be under staffed. Music was period appropriate (30's) and added to the ambiance of the meal. A delightful experience I hope to repeat in the future.
-The building was beautiful.
-We enjoyed being able to walk out to the water after our meal.
-Staff was friendly
- Wait time for food was nearly an hour
- Wait staff was friendly, but not very attentive.
- Food was not good at all.( I would not have fussed as much had the price not had been so high. )
All in all we enjoyed the setting, but would not eat again.
We ate there 2 separate occasions, and had a great experience both times. I was really impressed with the Panhandle Chicken, as it was quite tender and moist. The rolls served with entrees were soft and fresh. Full bar available, and some craft beer choices as well. Great ambience, and the springs are visible from most tables. They do prefer reservations, so be sure to book here when you're ready.
Historic and beautiful place to eat, set on the lovely grounds at Wakulla Springs State Park. Food was delicious. Ambience was great.
The dining room was nice, staff was a little frenzied but polite and attentive.. service was very slow, there were only two or three other tables... I would go back again..
The service was soooo slow. Having a hard time getting wait staff back, I think. The food was only mediocre. But you are somewhat held captive since it is a remote location and I guess they think they can get away with that...
Really wanted to be impressed and it ended up be a disappointment. Out of most of the entrees even though it was reservation only. Salad and rolls were the only decent items. The steaks were very thin for the $40 price tag. Garlic mashed potatoes were so dry we all had to ask for butter. No garlic flavor at all. Desserts were all dry and tasted store bought. For the $275 we spent it was a waste. We did enjoy the boat ride prior too and our waitress was very sweet. They seemed short staffed because several tables had to wait a long time to even get a menu or a drink. Our waitress Payton still did a great job. She was the saving grace for this experience. When we told friends we were going they all said they had wanted to try it out. We will not be recommending to anyone.
Took forever to receive our food - even with very few other patrons there. Hardly saw our waitress at all.
Food tasted great, just need to work on the service.
Lovely establishment but they were clearly understaffed. We enjoyed our appetizers but opted to not have dinner. I would definitely give it another chance. Some of the guests were really loud and unbecoming.
The food was excellent; however, the tow servers were having difficulty keeping up with the number of tables.
Beautiful dining room and the food/service was superb!
Wonderful shrimp and salad death by chocolate excellent service Ed balls dining room!
Food was amazing, view was spectacular, and the building itself is inspiring. This was by far the best dinner we had our whole vacation! I had shrimp and grits while my husband had blackened shrimp. Kids had cheeseburgers that were beyond the average kids meals. Loved the whole experience, highly recommend!!
The stuffed shrimp was a great entree, very tasty and a decent value for the price. My two sides of smashed potatoes and mixed vegetables were lukewarm at best. My husband ordered shrimp and grits. The grits were under seasoned but heavily buttered. Not one of the better choices on the menu. His side of asparagus was tasty but barely warm. Pecan pie and red velvet cake for dessert were both so-so, cake was bland and the pie had a very tough crust.
In most respects, the service was good. The dining room filled up as we were eating and the two waitresses kept up pretty well. Only one complaint about the service. We ordered a bottle of wine, which the waitress brought quickly. However, she set it down, asked if we were ready to order, and when we said we needed a few minutes, she said ok I’ll be back shortly. Never been to a restaurant where the server didn’t pour at least the first glass. Good thing the wine had a screw cap!
Wonderful location and dining!
Wonderful place. Lots of space. Great food. Miss some old favorites.
This is our favorite restaurant. Love the atmosphere, and feel of the place. The music is from a different era. Laid back, relaxing. Food is always delicious. We are never in a hurry when dining there. And the view of the springs is a bonus. And also living 10 minutes from there doesn’t hurt either.
We had three breakfast meals at the lodge everything was good the biscuits are to die for. We had two dinner meal my wife had the shrimp and grits Said it was the best she had the last night we were there weren’t real hungry and split the fish tacos flounder with a wonderful salsa also they make incredible old fashion highly recommend dining at the ed ball dining room
Great breakfast, will go for a longer visit with the family.
We love this place. The food is always amazing and the service is terrific!
Service was excellent for our table of 7. Drinks were full and food was served hot and timely. Appetizer of Spinach and Artichoke dip was really good and great portion. Fried pickles were great also and homemade (sometimes you get the same fried things at all restaurants, not the case here). Our guests were happy with the shrimp and grits and burgers. My Philly was good but very light on meat and veggies. I ordered the kids chicken tender meal for my son. I had some years ago off another kid's plate that were fantastic and was planning on eating his too but these were the flat pre breaded ones. He doesn't care of course but I passed. Overall nice lunch just wished the menu had a few more "wow" items to go with the experience.
This was a lovely experience in terms of ambiance and the relaxed, quiet pace overall. Excellent food at a terrific value!
We did the boat tour and reserved a table for right after. Dining room was nice, kind of plain but clean. Food was good and the price was a good value. Also great service, never left my tea glass empty - that’s huge for me.
I have wanted to dine here for quite a while based on other reviews. This was truly a disappoints. Food was awful. I had the chicken and waffles, which I figured is pretty hard for anyone to screw up. Wrong. Not tasty at all and I have a pretty bland palette. The cheesy grits were both watery and lumpy. All the food was cold when it arrived at the table. Not sure what's going on but I was certainly disappointed. The only enjoyable aspect was the service. They were all very friendly and attentive.
Was pleasantly surprised by the offerings in the dining room. Food was delicious and the service was great. Would highly recommend.
We went to celebrate my daughter's birthday on the boat cruise and e ded with dinner in the ballroom. It wasn't as extravagant as I pictured, but food was great and the atmosphere was fun. We loved the soda fountain as well.
Seafood is good, liver is good but wish it was Calf's liver and not older beef. Salads are excellent. Menu is large enough to find something to eat for sure. Great fried chicken. Wish they would bring crab cake appetizer back on menu, now there is only the entree for crab cakes.
Delicious dinner, lots of choices for appetizers and entrees. The portions are huge! Wish I had saved room for dessert.
Careful attention payed to social distancing which was very reassuring since it was the first time we've eaten out since the pandemic started.
I haven't been since the adoption of some Spring Creek dishes.
If you miss Spring Creek you need to go here. You'll be glad you did.
