We enjoyed the dinner. Our only disappointment was that they had run out of collard greens, which seems part of the "Southern Food" specialties. However, the fried chicken and shrimp and grits were very good.

I loved everything about the dinner except one thing. I did not like the chairs they were uncomfortable but also they do go with the setting of the Lodge. The food was great, the staff tending to our needs and answered our questions. I will definitely be going back again!

Great meal! My family and I eat here while staying at the lodge. We had a great experience! Wife had the blackened grouper, 6yr old son had fried shrimp. Daughter had shrimp Scampi. Son had shrimp and grits. I had steak. All were very good. We dined at 515. Wine and drinks were on happy hour. Service was great. Highly recommend!

We visited last year on a day that the dining room was not open. We made sure to be there this year to enjoy the ambiance of an old time dining experience. It did not disappoint. We had the fried chicken and it was outstanding. We love this place and really enjoyed our chance to be in the stately dining room. We will plan to go back whenever we are in Florida.

Our waitress was superb and was there when we had any needs. They were able to seat us early with a great table along the spring side windows. This was a Monday nite end of holiday weekend but the staff and the chef outdid themselves. The asparagus was out of this world. The navy bean soup and fried chicken should never be missed if you go. The duck was seasoned and just the right temperature very moist and flavorful. If you are staying in the lodge don’t miss s meal. If you are just a day visitor stop in to dine

Vast improvement over Thsnksgiving! Bravo team! We had the shrimp and scallops with tortellini. Delicious! Our neighbors had the prime rib but said it tasted more like roast beef. :(

There was a slight delay with our reservation but not too long. The wait staff was nice but acted like they had never served a crowd before. Our waitress tried to give our food to 3 different tables before she got it to us. Needs improvement.

I will continue to go to Wakulla Springs Lodge because I know it can be great! It was good to see a familiar face from Spring Creek. I hope you all take is advice and experience to heart.

Next Valentine's - two desserts.

A visit to the Edward Ball Dining Room @Wakulla Springs is a must (whether before or after your boat tour, manatee watch, or nature hike)! Walking through the historic building and lobby prepares you for the relaxing easy chair ambience, wonderful retro music in the background, and fine southern dining. Our favorites include the Fried Green Tomatoes, light and fluffy housemade yeast rolls, and the fried chicken and fried seafood dishes. My family has wonderful memories here. We have never been disappointed.

A gem considering it’s views of historic and beautiful Wakulla Springs. The food was excellent: coastal seafood and upscale side dishes. Service felt personal and warm. Worth the drive. We will return.

We had a small Geo diverse family lunch in the park followed by the soda fountain for dessert and then a boat ride on the springs. A great location for a family outing. A great State Park.

We went for the Thanksgiving buffet at 5pm. When we arrived many of the food warmers were close to being empty and there were no bread rolls. The temperature of the food could have been higher. The turkey was very good. At one point we had to wait for plates and there were very few deserts left.

Food at the buffet was cold beside most of the food was gone. No rolls, turkey and roast beef cut in chunks, salad gone, oyster dressing soggy. Fried shrimp soggy. Feel like we were ripped off since the price was $40 a person. Would definitely not go back and not recommend.

It is such a special setting and one of a kind place. The staff is personable, friendly, helpful. Service was fine. Thanksgiving was very busy and a nice assortment of people. Plenty of food and could return for a second serving. I thought was high price but not really for what you got. Pretty Southern fare...Something different for the sweet potato dish, and wish there was cornbread. (Though not a Southern food eater usually!) I would rather give my money to this place. I love the ceilings, walls, piano playing, real china, table service, old fashion but nice roomy restrooms. Walking the grounds, so lovely, the water. If you haven't been there need to go.

There was a wedding going on and even though we had reservations that we made because we had out of town guest we were put in the ice cream shop on small tables and were served drinks in a paper cup. I even talked to the front desk person the day before to confirm reservation.

WakullaSprings Restaurant is like walking into the 30's and 40's. I expect to see the Great Gatsby walk in at any minute. They play period music, the ambiance is just great. We enjoy going down there and feel the prices are reasonable.

This restaurant is old, and the place could use some updating, but part of the charm is the history of the place. In its heyday, this place must have been extremely elegant. The chairs were very comfortable. Our water was served in long stem glasses. The tables had real tablecloths, cloth napkins, and quality silverware. Our server was excellent, and we enjoyed the big band music playing in the background. It was not too loud, and my husband and I were able to converse easily. The dress code was casual. The yeast rolls served before our meal were so scrumptious - soft, warm and fresh, served with soft, creamy butter. My husband had the hamburger steak with caramelized onions, gravy, and mashed potatoes. He said it was delicious. I had a seafood combo platter with fried shrimp and fried oysters. My sides were baked sweet potato and grilled asparagus. I was disappointed in the oysters; they were chewy. The baked sweet potato came with lots of brown sugar and butter on the side. It was delicious. I didn't care for the asparagus, because it tasted bitter to me, and seemed a little tough. We were seated by a window, and enjoyed looking out at the water and swimmers in the distance. We ordered a couple of pieces of 5-layer chocolate cake to go. It was very rich, but very good! The prices were a little high, but moderate for a place like this. Afterwards, we strolled the grounds down by the water. All in all, we enjoyed the experience, and would recommend it for a special outing, especially if you love historical places.
