The East Pole - Kitchen and Bar
The menu features simple yet elevated home cooking with a focus on local, seasonal, organic produce and sustainably sourced proteins. For Drinks, our signature cocktail menu & full bar service, with a focus on small batch distilleries, breweries & wineries are all available.
Very good food, but terribly overpriced. Friendly but not that effective service: I had asked for the bill to be split 60% for me, and 40% for my friend who was dismayed by the prices, and the waiter did the opposite! So I ended up handing over cash to my friend, with my apologies: kind of awkward.
Service was slow however, food was very good.
Server was HORRIBLE!
The entrees were very good but the appetizers lacked flavor. The service was excellent and super friendly
Great neighborhood spot on the UES for brunch!
Returned with friends this time but stuck with this waiter Carlos again. Had issue with him last time and he is just as lax this time around. Worst is how he always pulls the mask under his nose, while handling food and drinks.
Otherwise this place has wonderful ambience and good menu choice.
Great late-night dining option. Terrific server, delicious burger, refreshing cocktails, and decadent dessert!
Fantastic service - poor guys we’re dealing with a massive rainstorm so they had to move all the outside tables inside. We were seated within 10 minutes (and the maitre’d was patient and humorous -what a situation for them!). Food was good - and waiter explained all options very clearly (you cannot get a rare burger, FYI, because it comes in tow thin patties, not one) amd we had a lovely evening
Loved it, amazing food
Wonderful food sitting outside. Kelly the hostess made the experience an extra delight
Lovely charming brunch spot
Lovely atmosphere and very fresh, light food!
We had an amazing Chilean sea bass that was the special of the day
Love the staff here and the food it always delicious. So excited to be back for inside dining!
I loved it more than ever: sitting outside with no music or loud noise, and everything was or seemed SO special after what we have all lived through the past year and a half.
The food was excellent but overpriced for what we had.
Great outdoor seating options in addition to indoor dining in a stylish UES townhouse. Great menu for brunch too!
Another very satisfying meal at East Pole Kitchen. Food was great. The bar got backed up a bit after we arrived so we waited a while for our drinks, but not a big deal. It was nice to be back inside.
Great food and great ambiance! I love it especially at night with the table lights.
Outdoor dining so city noises, food was incredible, great portions, amazing taste. Service was really good at first and slowed down as restaurant got busier (which is understandable as we are returning from COVID and restaurants get used to busier times). Highly recommend the food and drinks!
Great food and service.
Everything was great. Only thing is that we sat next to the main entrance. Apparently there is no service entrance, so there were deliveries coming in and out of the restaurant, sometimes carts making a lot of noise. That part was distracting and a little annoying. Food and service were outstanding.
Very charming spot. The cocktails were delicious & the food amazing!
Fantastic drinks, food & service!
We were the only customers. Took our time. Nice food and service.
This was a wonderful experience. The service was great. The food was outstanding.
This was one of the best meals I've had! We started with the tuna special, it was great. Within my group, two got the salmon- the skin was perfectly crispy, and it came over the most flavorful eggplant I've ever had, along with a delicious aioli. One of us got the duck special, which had an amazing marinade on it. We got cocktails from the spring cocktail list- highly recommend! Finally, we finished the meal by sharing a slice of pie they were serving from Four & Twenty Blackbirds in Gowanus which was just the perfect end to the meal. I'd recommend anyone go here! Additionally, our server was polite, knowledgable, and fun!
Great food and service.
The food and cocktails were excellent. The service was friendly and appropriately attentive. It is very noisy, so not a spot for a date, but my Mom and I had a great time.
Great quality food, prices are high, and service is nice.
Good fresh food, unique atmosphere outside, great service. Perfect for brunch.
Fantastic food and ambiance. Great service
Great service. That banana bread is to die for!! We were seated outside under the sun.... so lovely. One of the best Bloody Mary's in town!!
Fantastic brunch! The banana bread was amazing and our server Carlos and the rest of the staff were phenomenal.
Great but food took a while to be served
Food was delish. Good mix of young and old enjoying Sunday brunch. Would deff go back!!
This was our first time at The East Pole and we were very impressed. We ate indoors and were very pleased with the spacing of the tables. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and efficient.
Food was good, service was terrible. Took forever to get drinks. Brought out someone else’s order. Didn’t know who ordered what entree. Ordered a second round of drinks that never came to the table. By the time we decided to cancel, they poured and gave us the drinks for free. No one checked on us the entire meal. Definitely won’t go back.
Great meal and wine! Street seating was pleasant and well-spaced.
I had an Easter lunch w my friend. The food was great. As well as everything else.
