Good food. One of our meals (duck) was fantastic. The Mezzogiorno was alright but not spectacular. The sommelier gave good enough advice, and our waitress was excellent. Dessert (cheesecake, chocolate mousse) were both excellent. Overall a good experience but not amazing.
We absolutely love it!!!
It was restaurant week and stresses the limits of every restaurant. Super busy night so not up to usual standard yet still an enjoyable evening with great food and wine. Good to see the town and restaurants so vibrant this week.
Kaitlyn (who has replaced Steve) was calm and cool under fire and a pleasure.
The Earle is one of our top 2 favorites in A2. Best wine list with best prices and one of the reasons we keep coming back.
This is one of our favorite restaurants, we go there often
I have dined here numerous times and have had great experiences. This time not so much. I felt service was rushed and servers not friendly. The food was below normal quality. The risotto balls were cold and tasteless, the onions inside crunchy and undercooked. Maybe because of restaurant week. But, not a great way to showcase the place to someone who had never been there before. I'll think twice about returning. What I shame. Usually, a great dining experience.
Me and my girlfriend went here for dinner. The food sucked. Tasted like catering food. I was genuinely shocked with the quality of the food. Alcohol was the only good thing about this place. Worst restaurant in Ann Arbor. Please don’t your money. The check came faster than the service.
Food was very good. Service was slow on an evening when the place wasn’t overly crowded.
We had wonderful service from the wait staff and a great recommendation from the sommelier. One of our favorite places.
Our favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor. Always consistent, always great, changing menus is fun, the best appetizers. Steve retired and he will be missed, we didn't know that until we came in recently.
This was Restaurant Week. Everybody in the family always wants the sauteed duck breast entree, but I opted for the whitefish entree. We visit this restaurant year round, but we certainly try to visit during special menu offerings like those for this week.
Enjoyed the lake perch. Another guest enjoyed the boneless chicken. Waiters were not attentive
Roasted garlic appetizer is great!
It's not a wine list, it's a wine book. Hundreds of reds and whites from all over the world priced for any and all budgets. Some delicious Barbsrescos reasonably priced and Someliers that know their stuff. Great appetizers including a roasted goat cheese. Always love this place when in Ann Arbor
Loved our experience for our anniversary at The Earle. The live music was lovely, and the food was so authentic and fresh (especially loved the salmon and duck!) thanks to everyone for making it special. :)
Our party of six had dinner on New Years Eve to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had a perfect evening, everything was exceptional
As always, great food and service. We were there on New Year's Eve, when they had 550 people with reservations from 4:30 - close. As busy as they were, the staff was very friendly and the food great.
One of the signs a restaurant is great is how they do on major holidays. The Earle did an outstanding job on NYE. Minor wait in the beginning, then full attention, great timing and outstanding food. And as always, an excellent selection of wine. Kaitlyn, who has replaced Steve on his retirement, is very capable, knowledgeable, easy going and pleasant. The wine program, which has made the Earle standout from other restaurants, is in good hands.
Five star wait staff. Crowded as it was ny eve. Food arrival slightly slow for same reason. Amazing wait staff made up for this. Really delicious food French and Italian inspired.
Always quality drinks, food and service for special occasions
Really bad night for this otherwise longstanding consistent restaurant in Ann Arbor. Dropped the ball all night long. On all fronts.
New Year’s Eve
Great anniversary dinner. We had duck breast and salmon encroute, which were outstanding. House salad was also very good. Cozy cavern-like feel, but lights in booths were a little too bright. This is one of our favorite Ann Arbor restaurants.
Wonderful! Thank you!
I ordered a pasta dish and it took long time to be served. The waiter noticed as well. The pasta was cold. I returned it. They warmed it up by microwave and it became so oily. I returned it. They made it from scratch this time as the waiter said. There was a chunk of cold creamy cheese in it. Uncooked. I gave up. Other than that, everything was great. I really like this restaurant.
We love this place!!!
Service was lacking. Food was good but lack of attention really detracted from the meal.
The Earle in Ann Arbor is outstanding. Calm, great service and food, nice ambience, private. Just perfect.
Been dining at the Earle almost from its opening. It has never failed to deliver on first class food, service, and value. The only downside is that it's a long drive from Rochester Hills. But it's a drive well worth the time spent on the road.
The Earle never disappoints.
Wonderful food, perfect ambience and great service.
We have had terrific meals at the Earle until this past week. It took a very long time then the salad was soggy and one was forgotten. We had to ask about our dinner arriving because it took so long.
We love The Earle! We like to try new restaurants in the Ann Arbor area but when we want a cozy, warm place with an elegant feel and always good, French-influenced dinners and a great wine list, we choose The Earle.
The food was awesome service is good location is excellent
Excellent food and drink, as usual. This is a cornerstone restaurant for us.
I had a table for 14. Food and service were excellent. Occasion was a holiday dinner.
This was the perfect location to celebrate my birthday with a few close friends. The food was fabulous, the service was spot on and the atmosphere lovely.
The Earle delivered! The waitress is amazing. She’s been there really long time. The vegetables with the duck were inedible for me and had a weird texture. Getting our entrees Tom a little bit too long timewise. The biggest complaint is that The jazz combo started much later than our meal and took a really long break.
Consistently good food and good service. I need more characters to be a legit length>
We love The Earle, it's been our favorite restaurant for over 30 years!
Great as usual.
