This restaurant is in the bottom floor of a building in Ann Arbor. Great atmosphere, with stone walls. Food was exceptional. Scallops were prepared to perfection, salmon was seasoned perfectly and the vegetable side with orzo had great flavor. Stuffed mushroom appetizer was as good as I have ever had.

It was for my boyfriend’s birthday. Food was 50% off so we can spend more on wine. Their wine selection is fantastic. And the food is awesome. Will come back!

The Earle has been one of our favorite restaurants since it opened. The menu is outstanding and the food is always perfectly cooked and presented. Our favorite entree is duck breast and it never disappoints. Waitstaff is professional and gracious. Good choices of wines by the glass and scrumptious desserts. Good but not intrusive music on some evenings.

The Earle is becoming our go to place for a night out. The food and service is always very good. Just had the Grilled Salmon and the Penne with Chicken. Both were delicious. The pasta dish has a very tasty tomato sauce without being hot. We definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food.

I loved the food and the restaurant, but was disappointed with the Jazz. I was expecting the music to be more in the foreground vs being there as ‘background’. It could have just as well been recorded music without the live band. I guess we were under the impression that it was going to be a ‘Cliff Bell’s ‘ type of restaurant because we really wanted to listen to jazz first and also have something to eat.

We have been going to The Earle for about 20 years- the food is always excellent and consistent! Best duck ever-compared to duck I’ve had in Europe. We miss the olive tapenade...Staff is always friendly and food service is smooth and timed well, even on busy nights.

Food was excellent! I had the salmon and it was delicious. We were a party of 6 and everyone was pleased with their entree choice. The carrot cake and chocolate cupcake were shared and were a perfect ending, would definitely eat here again.

Great place! Would definitely go back. Best wine list in Ann Arbor, and as large a selection as I’ve seen in most places. Cool setting and live music. Service was great and food was perfect.

A bit pricy, and the food is nothing special. I’d rather go to a less expensive place and not spend as much on food that is mediocre.

I'm so glad we celebrated my nephew's 21st birthday at this restaurant. We are two aunties visiting from the Bay Area (CA). We all loved the escargot. It was not presented in the traditional way, in individual shells, rather one large puff pastry shell filled with escargot. It was still yummy. The Caesar salad was pretty good, just a little watery. I could tell the dressing was handmade with anchovies. My veal scaloppini/marsala was excellent, A+! I haven't had this caliber of old school veal since Vanessi's in San Francisco closed. I devoured the entire large slice of thick veal myself. It was so tender and tasty. My nephew loved his steak, and his aunt loved her pesto pasta with scallops. Since we shared the appetizer and salad, we ordered individual desserts. I ate my entire chocolate mousse, and my nephew ate both the ice cream dish and cheese cake. His aunt devoured the carrot cake. We don't normally eat this much, but the food was fabulous. This is the type of establishment that I miss from the good old days in the big cities. We have been dining at Chop House which is more formal and expensive. This place is a nice alternative. This was the best meal of our trip! It even made the cold weather almost tolerable! So glad I found this restaurant on Thrillist.

The table seemed to be in a space that was previously used for a booth. It was too small for 4 adults. Adding to the clutter on the table was the main courses which came too close to the appetizers. The food was very good (3/4 of us had the mezzogiorno). The birthday deal is outstanding, perhaps the best in Ann Arbor - 1/4 of the total food bill was taken off the bill and a small gelato was given to the birthday girl. The gelato (grapefruit ?) was strange and not sweet enough to qualify as a dessert. All 4 of us asked for takeout boxes due to the usual generous portions, and the server was very considerate to label the boxes in a way that was clear to us even though she didnt know our names. Very thoughtful. Overall, we enjoyed the meal. We are regulars so will be back soon.

We have been dining at the Earle since it opened. The food is always flavorful and 100% consistent. The wine list is the best and Steve can always be relied upon to give good counsel. It would be nice if there were specials or if the menu changed a little more frequently but we always go back when we crave the stuffed mushrooms, onion soup, duck or veal that they have served for decades. Happy hour mussels not to be missed!

Excellent service, food was superb. Was on social date with a culinary expert who raved about the quality and taste of the meals. Excellent value, a cut above many of the competitors, atmosphere is best in AA. We really enjoyed our meals, will be back monthly at the minimum!

We often head to The Earle for special occasions ( in this case ;a birthday celebration) but we also like to sit in the bar area having appetizers and some great wine.
Its favorite place of ours. Try to get there every other month or so.

This is a great place to celebrate a birthday since they have a great bday program. With my birthday event, our waiter Paul was horrible from start to finish. The restaurant was only open for an hour so he couldn’t have been tired, but my entire table couldn’t help but notice how horrible of a server he is. The menu is pretty good, but be advised the steak tenderloin is extremely peppery. So much so, we had to send it back. The lamb chops are a better meat choice. This experience went from a 4-5 star down to a 3 at best. Paul needs to go work at Applebee’s...

Very disappointed with the service. Server, Duane did not know the menu. Suggested incorrect items. Forgot to add shrimp to my salad. Wanted to bring it out after my salad was eaten. Forgot my husbands au gratin potatoes, said he was going to put in an order for them....he never came back. Overheard the couple sitting “above” us tell him their salads were incorrect. Absolutely horrible service. Love the Earle, but Duane really spoiled our date night.

Whenever my husband and I are in Ann Arbor and planning dinner reservations, we always consider The Earle. It is one of the most consistent restaurants we visit. The service is always impeccable from the hostess on down. The food can be counted on to be exactly as described, presented with a flair and most of all very delicious. We have yet to be disappointed with any facet of the restaurant. No wonder it is always on our list!

We went there solely because of the three-course special they were running and it worked! I had the duck for the first time and would order it again. This was a very clever way to bring customers in during what must be a slow season for restaurants.
