The location and wine selection is good, however the food, presentation, and service is lacking significantly.
The Ealre never dissappoints us. This Ann Arbor restaurant landmark has wonderful food, winelist, and attentive staff.
Duck is consistently the best in the area. Service is also attentive w/o overreaching.
Another enjoyable dinner at the Earle. The kitchen took about 50 minutes to prepare dinner, a little slow. But the food was good when it finally came.
I went there for valentines day with my boyfriend and found out that his parents had gone for valentines day around 30 years ago! A good find, very good food, we had a wonderful memorable time.
The mushroom phyllo and the duck breast were both wonderful! We love The Earle as our traditional Valentine spot.
Wish they had more vegetarian options but it’s still a nice place to go on a date. We had made reservations for Valentines Day over a month in advance so it was a little annoying to be sat in the wine bar area but we didn’t get hung up on it and tried to enjoy the evening. Great drinks and appetizers. My date liked his steak.
Requested a booth over a month ago when making reservation, they did not have one available when we came in. Put us in the corner under a breezy vent. Waited over an hour for our dinner.
This has become our annual anniversary restaurant. The scallops are absolutely amazing, the wine and scotch list extensive, bread filling and fabulous, and the Cesar salads about as garlic laden as possible. Highly recommend for special occasions.
A wonderful Valentine evening with nice, calm music and great service.
It was valentines and they were very busy . They sat us next to the kitchen so you could hear the kitchen noise whenever the door opened . The waiter was sweet , the food was good for the price we paid and the decor was fine . The only gripe is the entrance to the building and the stairway down to the restaurant is awful and needs restoration as it makes you feel like you are entering a dump !
The Earle is my favorite restaurant for happy hour and for special occasions. I take all my friends there when they come to town.
The food had zero flavor. Our servers were a mess. My glass of wine had so much sediment in it 1/3 was left in the glass. Worst dinning experience I have had in ages. If this restaurant ever had a soul it is long gone.
We can always count on having a delicious meal when we eat at the Earle, and on this visit the food did not disappoint. The crusted white fish over spinach was heavenly! Surprisingly we did have to wait at the host station for a few minutes before we were greeted. The table service was good, but not outstanding. Overall it was a nice dining experience.
Dwayne and Bruce were fantastic! We really had a great dining experience!
