The Eagle - Louisville
This was our first time there. The food was wonderful. My only complaint was that it was dark. Some members of our party had to use the light on their phones to read the menu
Best chicken in Louisville. I love the atmosphere. Also great customer service!
Food was great and fresh! Spoon bread and greens were great additions to wonderful flavorful chicken
Unwelcome arrival. Didn’t even asked our names properly or confirmed it.
After that it was great!! The pork sandwich is amazing!! And the selection of craft beers excelent
Great atmosphere with inside and outside seating and bars. Great place to watch sporting events. The food was excellent! Comfort food and seasoned to perfection. Large servings so we had plenty to take home! We are already planning our return trip!
Brought family in to have the fried chicken for the first time and like always, it didn’t disappoint. The new fritters starter was so good! Ordered their Bloody Mary - best I’ve ever had!!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in town . I bring friends, family and colleagues from work
Will never return to
This restaurant. We requested on the reservation that we would prefer a regular 4 topper table. We did not want the high bar stole table or a booth. This was in our open table reservation. After 10 minutes of discussion with the hostess and the manager we were taken to a booth with high bar stools.i asked repeatedly for the4 topper with low chairs. We ate our entire meal an “no one” sat at those two tables. Don’t care if the issue is resolved I have no intention of eating there ever again.
Sincerely, Linda Simonis
Amazing food, all around! The Fried Chicken was truly exceptional and we are not even big Fried Chicken fans! Everything we tried was excellent.
Great service and chicken.
It was decent. Great food but dark inside and kinda loud.
Make a reservation first and foremost! Service was good, noise was a little loud, but it didn’t matter as the food was DELICIOUS. Get the grits and the Mac n Cheese as your sides. Yum! Wish there was one closer to home, as I would come here often.
Maybe the best friend chicken I've had. Sides were tasty as well. Sausage kale dip is outstanding.
My new favorite place! Everything on the menu is amazing!
Amazing food.... amazing service! Will be back!
Food and service were great! Prices were very reasonable as well.
Great place for brunch. The chicken is delicious and the sides so so tasty! What I really enjoyed was the blackberry lemonade. So good and original. Very good prices too :)
Food was excellent and well priced. We sat outside, which was really nice. There was only one waitress for the entire patio, which made service slow. But she was working really hard.
Took my Mother, Stepfather, and Girlfriend out to eat so they could bond a little more before she leaves again soon.
Glad to hear that you and your group enjoyed things!- Kellen, GM
I usually love this place but this last visit just wasn’t up to standards. I made a reservation in advanced but was then sat in the bar area. My father has hearing impairments and the loudness of the bar made it impossible to have conversations during dinner, which is why I made a reservation to begin with. Service was not great, it took a long time to get our drinks and then even longer for my drink to be replaced after the glass chipped while I was trying to enjoy it. Our chicken came out amazing as usual but the sides were cold. At this point my father and I just decided to pay and go home, very disappointed.
The food was fine. The service could’ve been better - my elderly mom is a slow eater and the server took away her plate before she could finish her meal. Fortunately, we had leftovers that we could take home. The spoon bread was more like corn bread, unfortunately. The grits, mac and cheese, and fries were all well received. The biscuits were so very tender and tasty! The sweet potatoes were not as expected, but fine. It was really loud in there, but that seems to be what restaurants want these days.
Chicken is fantastic with the spicy honey sauce! Great beer menu as well with a lot of seasonal rotations.
Thanks for the stars!-Kellen, GM
Great food and service ....would like to have more table seating ...the high chair seating isn’t convenient for most
Really good food. Wish they had a couple of low carb options but very good meal.
Thanks for the kind words!-Kellen, GM
Long wait for waiter and then long wait for food
The chicken was good and I liked the options of chicken servings. I’m not big on spicy chicken, but it wasn’t too spicy. I did not like the horseradish mashed potatos. All I could taste was the horseradish. I prefer just cream and butter in my mashed potatos with my fried chicken, but I’m a purist.
The kale salad was good and so was the spoon bread. We will come back again and try some other sides.
Meeting with daughter’s boyfriend
Did not want to seat us at first due to not all parties being there but when pushed to having 77 year lady there in the party reluctantly seated in the very back table. As they were not very busy at that time seating especially with Sr adult should not have been an issue.
I don’t think I will return soon
Have gone for lunch and dinner 5 times since moving to town in March and every time they are sold out of the Fritters. It’s extremely annoying. Ate there again two days ago and only 2 starters were available: candied bacon and the spinach and sausage dip (which I would recommend bc they’re both so good). The food there is excellent but not having items on the menu available anytime of day shows a lack of planning
Great food and drinks. Friendly staff and nice sized portions for the price!
Food was good. It took over an hour to get our order and they were maybe 75% capacity. Server was not personable. We asked if he was having a bad day and he said no. We asked for refills and he walked away without comment. Even though he was borderline rude, he did bring drinks but it took forever. We had drinks at the bar before eating and the fruit flies were all over. Bar smelled like old drinks. Needed a good scrubbing and bug spray. Bartender was very nice. We won't be back.
We always enjoy coming here. The food is delicious!
Outstanding atmosphere and food. Enjoyed time in the area.
Thanks for the love Jason!-Kellen, GM
Service was slow. Not the servers fault but most likely not enough servers. It took too long for our food to come out. We had a movie tickets and weren’t able to finish our meal.
The chicken was amazing and only surpassed by the service. All the sides were excellent... we will be back.
The food was great as usual, but the service in the outdoor patio was not great.
Everything thing was really good. The only negative was when we got the bill and a glass of “house” Chardonnay was $14!! A little surprised at that one. When questioned I was told that that was the correct price .
Thanks for the kind words Tim, I apologize about the pricey wine! Next time your in, ask for the the general manager and I would love to buy you a glass on the house! Thanks again! -Kellen, GM
The four of us all had chicken 3 people had chicken belt and 1 person had 1/2 chicken. Sides consisted of Mac and cheeses and fries and fritters. Food was excellent. They were having trouble with draft beer taps. Long wait for our beer. I will return.
I love going to The Eagle and have always enjoyed my experience. I had a family gathering this weekend and there were six of us together. Food was great, however we sat for almost an hour before our food came out and the restaurant didn’t appear to be overly busy. I have never had to wait long here. Other than that, food again was great as always.
Solid food... extremely slow service. Not a good place if you have young kids
The Eagle did not disappoint! Top notch service and the food was amazing. Best fried chicken I’ve had in a long time! Will be back! Definitely put in a reservation a day before!
Hi, Jennifer Thanks so much for the review! We strive for superb guest satisfaction and it seems we did a great job! We are glad you fell in love with the chicken as well! Come see us soon!- Kellen, GM
