Great food and atmosphere! We will definitely be back!
Thanks Jennifer! We look forward to seeing you soon.
Great staff and food. Chicken was some of the best we’d ever had. Succotash was amazing!
incredible dinner spot. great service. delicious food.
Delicious food and excellent service. We got the fried chicken sandwich, which is the best I've ever had, and the greens which were absolutely delicious!!
Amazing! Loved the atmosphere and the food was excellent.
Arrived at around 6pm. The food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time, however, all the food was lukewarm. I only chose tell the waiter that the chicken was cold considering that’s the main dish. The waiter took it back and about 6 minutes later the manager brings out chicken that I believe is the same ones I sent back that was still only warm. Actually it was almost the exact temperature as what I had sent back. Needles to say I wasn’t happy but I chose not to continue to complain about it. Also the waiter was not very attentive and the manager never came back to check on what she had brought back to me. Very disappointing for a restaurant that should deliver better quality than this.
This was not our first visit. We have had good experiences and good service prior to this visit. Our food tasted like it had been prepared days earlier. Some of it was cold and the only thing that we ordered that tasted fresh was the chicken. Our server may have been overwhelmed. It took almost 10 minutes after seating before we were even greeted and throughout the meal he just wasn’t to be found. We had to sit way too close to other people that were there (along the bank of bench seats) that talked way too loud and it felt as if they had more important things to say than anyone else there trying to enjoy dinner and conversation. Overall it was just not a good visit.
We have never had poor service and our most recent visit was per usual. The food is consistently delicious and the service is pleasant and attentive.
Love this place.
Never been, but we only went because we received a $50 certificate and only paid $25 for it!! The food was SO good. To be honest, I don’t think I would have gone to The Eagle otherwise, but now I will be returning!! Highly recommend the Fried Chicken BLT.
We love this restaurant! Our service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious as always.
The drinks& fried chicken were delicious. Our server was very friendly.
delicious chicken and sides, great service. A local favorite.
Absolutely terrible. The phone recording said they were open on the day we made reservations and OpenTable showed them as being open and allowed me and many other people to make reservations only to show up on their door step to a sign that they were closed due to a employee event.
Please have a little respect for your customers time and update your phone recording and OpenTable status if you are going to close down during normal business hours.
Been here a thousand times. Well, not actually, but it’s our “To Go” place when we need our fried chicken and Mac and cheese fix. Service is always top notch. Beers on tap are up to date. Atmosphere is totally casual, laid back and not to loud so you cant have a conversation with your partner without having to repeatedly saying “What?” Tonight we were disappointed with the chicken, I hate to say. Not that it wasn’t good, bc it was, it was just not “crunchy” fried as usual. We didn’t send it back bc we were starving but next time I will request it to be cooked to our specifications. Never had this happen before. It always comes out golden brown with those crunchy ends. We’ll be back for that 1001 time, believe me!
Seating is a bit weird, but I'll go back. Fried chicken like Mother made.
Grilled cheese was delicious!!! Crispy chicken in crunchy cheesy toast!
Overall great experience at The Eagle. We enjoyed the fried chicken which everyone decided to go with. Appetizer consisted of the sausage kale dip (delicious!!) and the pimiento and ham dip. We decided to share the sides and made them family style: Mac and cheese, corn and green beans with bacon, cornbread, mashed potatoes and cheese grits. The Mac and cheese and the corn bread were my two go tos.
There was ample sitting since we dined on a Thursday. Parking can be tricky since there aren’t any directions leading diners to the back. Luckily, I was with a local who knew her way around.
All together, we had a wonderful dining experience.
Family date night we luv the place and have been going sense they opened and luv the food the best fried chicken in town. The adult drinks could be priced a little cheaper to pair with there awesome food prices. One of the biggest down falls is they quit having the corn nuts and that is a bad thing please bring back as a option
We were both celebrating our birthdays.
I noted that on our reservation but evidently no one bothered to read it.
A bit disappointed.
Birthday dinner. Great food, and server. Love the chicken sandwich and Mac and cheese. Chopped salad amazing as well. Don’t forget the honey for the chicken !!
From start to finish we loved this experience!
The kale/sausage dip was a hit, the bacon strips killed and that was just the appetizer!
The chicken sandwich was top notch! My favorite part of the whole meal was the grits.. Oh my gosh!
The wait staff was very knowledgeable on drinks also.
First time at the Eagle and also first time ever writing a review! Took our young son for an early family dinner date. Staff were friendly and food was delicious! Can’t wait to go back in the spring and enjoy the patio.
Patrick our waiter was very attentive. Food was great!
Everything we got was delicious! The hush puppies were great for an appetizer. The BLT chicken sandwich & the fried chicken sandwich were amazing!!
Very annoying when the hostess said that they had no regular tables, just high tables. As I looked upstairs and looked around and saw regular tables after we were seated. Food was good, but not outstanding in my opinion. The stars were the side items – the spoon bread and coleslaw. Very noisy. Wait staff was very good.
My daughters birthday.
Fun experience, service was a bit slow.
Great service, food and drinks! Always a wonderful evening!
The chicken is probably the best in Lou. The hush puppies are crack nuggets. (Don’t even want to hear the recipe. They’re just good. Leave it at that.)
Very quick service which was great as we were headed to my sons I of L graduation after—
We have a great visit with a great meal. We made reservations in advance and we were promptly seated. Our waitress was fantastic and food was even better.
I would highly recommend.
Great food and location. Always a fun place to eat with a big group.
Really good food and nice atmosphere
My fiance and I usually have a wonderful time at the Eagle, but the staff must have been having an off night. When we walked in the hostess smiled at us, but did not say anything. I've been a hostess before and assumed she was helping someone. After several minutes standing there, I finally said something.
Our waiter was also not very upbeat. He did not check on us often and would occassionally ask us a question and continue to walk past us without getting an answer.
The food was good but it was not hot.
I'm sure it was an off night, but it was not the experience we were hoping for.
We really enjoyed the evening. The food and service was outstanding.... it was a little noisy for conversation.
Everything was good but the noise level was a little loud.
Hi Scotty We are glad that you enjoyed the food! We apologize that the music was too loud for you! We Just want to make sure we are entertaining to all crowds! Come back and see us!- Kellen, GM
