    Our waiter Josh was simply amazing! Although the restaurant was busy he was still very attentive and kept our mimosas full!

    I was in town visiting Chicago. I put myself on the wait list for a party of 2 at 1230p and I was never seated. I was told my wait would be an hour to 1.5hrs. It was busy, they had a DJ, it was lively, I get it, but I thought a table for 2 would come around quickly since I saw signs that said seating was for 90mins. Never got a drink, appetizer, nothing. I really looked forward to trying the food because the menu looked delicious including drinks. If or when I visit Chicago again I'll try again but I'll make my reservations for earlier in the morning or before I arrive to the city to ensure seating.

    This was my first, and unfortunately possibly the last time I’ll be at The Duplex. The food was great, I had the shrimp and grits which came out hot and flavorful. Me and my friend also got a champagne kit (bottomless only offered 10am-12pm on weekends) which was fair for the price. However, we were apart of a group of 8 other people whom’s food orders came out an hour and a half late, cold, and incorrect. They also sat us at an 8-top when the reservation clearly said 10. At the end of the chaos, they comped the majority of our bill, excluding the champagne kit and two other drinks (basically what they served prior to getting our food orders) but still charged 20% gratuity on the original bill price with the food of the whole party. If I did come back, it could not be during the brunch period of a holiday weekend.

    I love having Brunch here!! Limited menu but the food is delicious, drinks are strong & they play great music that makes you want to dance. I will definitely go back, perfect place to be, you won’t be disappointed 🔥

    First time at the duplex food mediocre not good wings bland thought I was getting whole breaded fried wings just some naked fried bland party wings Brunch menu not enough selection for me should not be categorized as a brunch spot I was looking for a wide spread of brunch options Ambience was nice Music was good just a little too loud mimosas was good I had pineapple mimosas but overall experience I give it 1 star tried it didn’t like it I won’t be going back and I’m still waiting on my $30 deposit refund. But too each it’s own check it out for yourself if you have never been oh service was okay it be very busy and the waiters/waitress be busy so don’t come back right away.
