We went for the Fathers Day brunch buffet. The food, service and welcome were all impeccable. Perfection all around. Thank you for being so welcoming.

The Dunes is consistently amazing -- from Executive Chef Richard Doucette's creative food and now the new pastry chef Sofia Tejeda's fantastic desserts to the service. And the atmosphere on the high outdoor deck with South Beach and the ocean in the distance and heat lamps and blankets is unmatched. The halibut preparation earlier in the season, with ham and sunchokes, was so good that I had it on two visits, and now the new halibut with prosciutto and multiple styles of corn is terrific. My husband is gluten-free, and Richard styled a whole dish for him without the cornbread, but with lots of other ingredients. I have to have the mini lobster tacos with the chili sauce on each visit; they are that good. The new chocolate dessert with the chocolate mousse and caramel sauce and a layer of chocolate across the top that the pastry chef melts at the table with a propane torch is terrific. Our server, Liz from San Diego, was so attentive and knowledgeable and thrilled to be reunited with others she used to work with. We were there too early in the season to try out the water taxi ride from Edgartown. How many more things can they do to make it special? We come back year after year.

The bar was close to our table. There was a group of people who got drunk and yelled the entire time. We didn’t enjoy the dinner as we couldn’t hear anything but the piercing voice of drunk guests shouting. I was very upset. Also the drinks were like the ones you get at the pool bar in an all inclusive resort, pretty unappetizing and non-tasty. The good part of the experience was that the food tasted good and was not too greasy.

Excellent dinner. Beautiful atmosphere Our waiter was more than accommodating. Had the most delicious swordfish dish I would definitely recommend the Dunes to anyone staying on Martha’s Vineyard.

The food at this hidden gem restaurant is unbelievably good. The chef is so innovative with his creations. There is also lots of parking which is a wonderful thing in Edgartown.
