Very very disappointed. As a Master Butcher I understand cuts of meat. The dish was advertised as sirloin which it was but sadly we had slices from the hip cut which is made up of 3 muscles held together with collagen which is only dissolved by a wet cooking method. A knowledgeable chef would not serve this. When I complained to the manager my complaint was not taken seriously. But as we sat waiting for our bill the item was chalked off the specials blackboard but our bill was for the full amount which I paid because I can always vote with my feet.

We had a family lunch in the back room, especially good as a bit quieter than the main dining area. Three haddock and chips with minted pea puree, a burger and a strip sirloin of beef. All excellent and perfectly cooked. Service friendly and efficient. We will be back!

Fish and chips were excellent and gluten free- their batter is light and crispy. The crevettes were lovely and just right! Another fantastic meal!

Nine crevettes and chunky chips were delicious and excellent value. Lovely views across the marshes. Service was engaging and enthusiastic. We shall be back when next in the area.

Our first dining experience at the Dun Cow since a change of owners. The service was good but we both took a sharp intake of breath when we saw the food menu prices. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the quality of the food. Also please be aware that (at the time of writing) the main course prices at the Dun Cow are higher than those quoted on the OpenTable app.
