This was not in Fairhope, but Legacy. They did not have some items such as a wine we selected because they were moving which was annoying. They did not have desserts as they were ordered by a large party seated before us. Perhaps it will be better when they get to Fairhope.

We were there for a Valentine's day meal - disappointed with the food quality and temperature - like the plate was put together with foods in different stages of prep. Grits had been around for a while, Hollandaise sauce on the fish and veggies cold and congealed. Service was excellent. For the price charged, the food should have been exceptional. We won't be returning.

Our meals were very good. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. The wait for our food was a lot longer than expected, perhaps due to several large parties at the restaurant. We were comp'd dessert due to the long wait for our meals. I think the food prices were relevant to the quality of the food; however, the wine prices were high. The restaurant didn't have bottles of wine for sale, so we ordered glasses of wine. My wife had 3 glasses of pinot noir and I had 3 glasses of cabernet sauvignon. Total wine bill was $75.00 (an average of $12.50/glass) which I consider pretty high given that we were not told the prices prior to ordering nor were we able to order a full bottle. Otherwise, a very nice evening.

The service wasn’t the best and I had high expectations since I thoroughly enjoyed the downtown location. My fiancé ordered a steak well done that was burnt. We returned it but the replacement steak still wasn’t cooked properly . It was my 40th birthday so I ordered a dessert that I didn’t eat and my waiter didn’t charge me but didn’t offer another dessert option. The service was poor. I will not return nor recommend this location.

Overall I was disappointed with our dinner. Several items were not available or not recommended by our server. When the food came out, my wife's food was cold (crab cakes), and my bone in rib-eye teak was tough. We tried to be pleasant and did not complain. I have eaten at the DW downtown location twice and never had a complaint. I will not return to the Springhill location. I can be more satisfied at a restaurant chain and spend far less.

I use this restaurant often when scheduling Business meals for the upper management when they are in town for a visit. They always come in the next day very pleased with the meal and the atmosphere. The Dumb waiter has quickly become a favorite amongst my management.

Excellent dinner and service for my wife’s birthday. The food is truly excellent. I was really blown away, however, by the “Half Baked Oysters”....it was amazing. Service was exceptional, as expected. Only thing that is bothersome....the chairs are all metal. Bring a cushion if you want comfort! (It’s worth it for the food, but I hope they change the seating soon!)

I have entertained clients at Dumbwaiter in both locations since opening. Recently, I was underwhelmed at the Springhill location when I took some family members for dinner. The value just did not align with the prices charged. Not sure what is going on, used to be I left each time wanting to come back. I'll try again because they have been such a wonderful place. Maybe it was just an off night. I sure hope so!

The food was fair for the price, but I’ve had much better at the same price point. We ordered the double cut pork. It arrived raw in the middle. When removing the pork from the table, the server removed the grits bowl from the plate and placed it on the table, which now had raw pork juice on it. She removed the raw knife and fork from the plate, spilling green beans covered in raw pork onto the table and onto my boyfriend’s phone. She didn’t clean any of it up. We had to. Instead of bringing us a new plate with a new pork chop, we recieved the same raw pork plate and green beans and the same pork, now cooked through but burned on the outside.

It was our first trip to The Dumbwaiter-Spring Hill (any of them, really), but we'd heard good things, and one of my friends ate there with a business group earlier in the week, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. So we gave it a shot, and were really impressed. The food was excellent, and the staff was exceptional, so friendly and attentive without being obtrusive at all. We will definitely be going back, and really look forward to the opening of the new location in downtown Fairhope around the first of 2018.

I got the wahoo which was a tad overcooked but still wonderful. My son-in-law got a steak and loved it. The Azalea is a wonderful drink. There was a tableful of people up near the window that was louder than I liked but the Azalea helped that!

The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The selection and preparation of the food was tremendous! Each dish was uniquely put together with ingredients you would have never dreamed complimented each other. Our hats off to the chef!

My wife and I are good cooks and experienced world wide diners and when we eat out we like it to be as good or better than what we could cook ourselves. I had the special, which was described as a 10 oz Blackend Rib-eye with a blue cheese cream sauce. The Rib-eye was at most a 7 oz piece of meat and quite tough. It was on the high end a $24 dollar steak and not a $48 dollar steak that i was charged - you could have purchased a better quality of beef at Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store. The Steak was over salted - and I like my steak prepared with Kosher Rock Salt a few minutes before cooking but it was too much. My wife had Shrimp and Grits which was served with an overpowering sauce with too much liquid. The staff was good although at times overwhelmed as the restaurant was full by 7 pm. I liked the decor of the restaurant - could have easily been a great place but at best mediocre.

This was my first time. I would say it was a wonderful atmosphere. Food was good I had the steak and it was ok but I think they chose a bad piece of meat for my liking. For 178.00 I think my steak should have been a bit more tender. The dessert was fabulous I had the Oreo bread budding. All in all it was nice and I plan to return soon.

Our waiter was great and very attentive! The ambiance is nice and much quieter than the downtown location. The food was delicious but very pricey. We had 4 couples in our group and we dine out frequently and enjoyed it. We all thought that the prices were a bit too high. FYI, my husband had a caesar salad (because of his diet restrictions) with a chicken breast as his entrée and the lettuce and serving size were tiny...I ran fine dining restaurants years ago and would have been embarrassed to serve that. He had to go eat somewhere else afterwards.)

The menu online did not match the menu in the restaurant. My husband and I had already picked out what we wanted to order prior to going due to a previous experience and also viewing the menu online. We were disappointed when the menu did not have what we wanted. The food that we did order was decent, but just not what we had look forward to. I asked the waiter for a cocktail that I had the last time I was there. He told me they didn't have that. He didn't even ask the bartender if that was something they could make. I know they had the ingredients because the ingredients were listed in other drinks on the menu. For the money, I would have just appreciated a little more effort. We left not getting the food or drinks we were looking forward to. I would suggest they update their menu and be a little more flexible on drink requests.
