Initially not great service as had to ask for drinks and menu but after that very friendly and accommodating. Chicken wings great. Bruschetta needed a little more seasoning. Hot Shell delish, Hake amazing. Puds nice but nothing to write home about. £50per head with tip and drink is very reasonable.

Our first time here at this pub. We came for a Father's Day roast dinner. A lovely touch was a free pint for all dads! The food was superb. Notably the porchetta and rib eye roast - tasty and generous portions. Oh the chorizo scotch egg starter was absolutely delicious also. Children's menus on offer were good value, tasty and catered for allergies, which was good to see. Build your own sundaes went down very well :). The service was friendly, informative and attentive and couldn't fault them. The pub has a lovely garden with lots of sunshine and a couple of swings for the children it was a great choice for Fathers Day and would definitely visit again.

Firstly we really like this group of restaurants, my wife is pescatarian, unfortunately there was no lemon sole although on the menu. It left a limited choice for her so she opted for the beer batter fish and chips with a side of onion rings. We both had the salmon terrine to start which was excellent, her main was the fish which was overdone, the batter was crispy and flaky and the chips were underdone. The onion rings were overdone too, the batter was dark and crumbled in your hand. My main was a lamb kofte and chicken skewers, both were overcooked. The service was fine and we didn't complain as the staff were under pressure however it was a Monday with only a few tables eating. A shame because it's the first disappointing meal we've had within the group.

Always reliable and good quality. Both the food and the service were excellent. We had my year-old grandson with us and his wanderings around was easily accommodated by the staff.

It was Pie and Pint night at the Duke.The steak and blackpudding pie was outstanding with creamy mash and spring greens with extra gravy.Absolutely delicious. Other members of the party had the Ashmore rarebit and the salmon rillets, followed by the burger and fish and chips. Compliments all round
