Firstly we really like this group of restaurants, my wife is pescatarian, unfortunately there was no lemon sole although on the menu. It left a limited choice for her so she opted for the beer batter fish and chips with a side of onion rings. We both had the salmon terrine to start which was excellent, her main was the fish which was overdone, the batter was crispy and flaky and the chips were underdone. The onion rings were overdone too, the batter was dark and crumbled in your hand. My main was a lamb kofte and chicken skewers, both were overcooked. The service was fine and we didn't complain as the staff were under pressure however it was a Monday with only a few tables eating. A shame because it's the first disappointing meal we've had within the group.

Always reliable and good quality. Both the food and the service were excellent. We had my year-old grandson with us and his wanderings around was easily accommodated by the staff.

It was Pie and Pint night at the Duke.The steak and blackpudding pie was outstanding with creamy mash and spring greens with extra gravy.Absolutely delicious. Other members of the party had the Ashmore rarebit and the salmon rillets, followed by the burger and fish and chips. Compliments all round

Lovely village pub with a great atmosphere and tasty food. Would definitely recommend and we look forward to returning soon.

Amazing meal! We had the Sunday roast & the food was amazing- everything was really flavourful, good presentation, great quality & plentiful (we sadly couldn't manage a dessert afterwards so will have to return as the options sounded lovely!) The service was also excellent- just the right level of attentionm and the pub was charming. We'll definitely be back!

Great ambience and efficient and responsive staff. We ate a Roast dinner on a busy late lSunday afternoon and the quality of this meal wasn’t great . Tough meat and burnt Yorkshire puddings plus bisto tasting gravy. However the staff were apologetic and offered free desert to compensate . This isn’t usual and the food is mostly of a much better quality and worth the price.

We went for a family meal on a Sunday afternoon and it was lovely. The service was good and friendly, food was delicious and it has a good atmosphere. We will definitely be going back!

Adam was very welcoming as always as was the bar guy who was extremely welcoming as we walked in. Food was amazing!
