THE DUCK STANHOE

After a stunning refurbishment there will be no huge surprise for existing Duck guests as Jeremy and Rachael continue to fly the flag for local suppliers and seasonal menus. Sourcing the best seafood available from Cromer to Wells-next-the-Sea and free range meats from local farmers and butchers.

Coming soon will be our garden menu perfect for those popping in without booking and now the weather is kinder our garden and garden lounge is ideal for some informal dining and great cocktails and just a great area to relax.

We have been to the Duck several times now for the Sunday lunch, and we are never disappointed, one if the not best you will find in North Norfolk 5 stars

A Sunday roast par excellence. The beef was delicious and cooked to perfection and served attentively with all the traditional accompaniments. Pinot Noir to accentuate the flavours. Room for Bread and Butter pudding after a short rest. Definitely ranking with best experiences of “gastropub grub’ Highly recommended.

Sunday lunch was very good, I would have preferred gravy served separately but it was all very tasty. Lovely staff. We will go back soon.

A very good meal in a lovely location and very well looked after by the family team who run the restaurant. A group of 8 of us and we all raved over the starters leaving us excited for the main that didn't disappoint. We were staying at a campsite a couple of miles from the restaurant and planning on walking home, the owner kindly arranged for someone to drive us back instead. Great service and attention to detail. Would definitely return if in the are again.

Lovely meal . Our third visit over the past 18 months. Only comment would be the outside entrance just needs a little attention. It’s really minor but having a plastic cooking tub next to the front entrance (what for ?!) along with used dog poo bags (not your fault but nevertheless a quick inspection would have helped) wasn’t great.
