A local restaurant in the heart of Corbridge, The Duck House offers a wealth of modern and classically prepared food, with theatrical elements in a relaxed environment. Your Experience begins with a Cocktail or a Gin from our extensive list in our lounge before we invite you through to the restaurant. Michael Young, our head chef uses only the freshest, locally sourced produce on his seasonal menus, incorporating signature dishes developed with traditional techniques.

We were delighted to be able to secure a booking at this busy restaurant, as we had heard good reports and we were not disappointed. We were given a warm welcome and when presented with the specials menu we were spoilt for choice. The food was very well presented and very tasty too - two of us chose chicken in pancetta and one the duck with beetroot, both dishes were beautifully cooked and full of flavour. The pulled chicken & tarragon balls were delicious and would make a great bar snack or part of a tapas selection. There were three of us dining so we tried all three deserts and found it hard to choose our favourite but the salted caramel and dark chocolate cup won in the end. Great food, good atmosphere - we'll definitely be back - well done ..!!

The food was delicious and it was all freshly cooked The service was good and the girls were friendly It was busy but I could hear conversations as the tables were quite near each other I would go back

Had a beautiful meal, Top Drawer without the High price. Will definitely go back.

The location is quite stunning with the age of the building and some of the roof top views. Service was really attentive and not rushed. The food was good but not particularly special for the price.

Lunch with friends and I chose the Duck House based on a review I had read by 'The 'Journal's' restaurant critic. Environment is very pleasant in an upstairs space; light & airy. Food choices and quality were good, but the service was a tad slow.

The service and ambience were good but the food was very disappointing. It all lacked flavour, the day we were there it was the chefs day off but that should not effect the quality of the ingredients. The lamb was over cooked and tasteless, the vegetables a little undercooked, some of the purée was so flavourless that if you closed your eyes you could not determine what it was. The wild garlic sauce with the cheese soufflé had no flavour of garlic or was totally overpowered by the cheese and the ginger with the rhubarb was undetectable. A pity

We where quite dissappointed in our meal after hearing good things about the restaurant. Quality and quantity didnt live up to price. However the cocktails where delicious, so we would go back for those.
