The Drumming Snipe is a contemporary Pub nestled in the village of Mayford, between Woking and Guildford. Offering a warm and relaxing atmosphere for you to enjoy the perfect mid week meal, a delicious Sunday roast or a Friday night catch up with a great selection of cask ales, wines and cocktails to choose from.
Guests are invited to dine in our quirky horse trailers, covered and heated terrace or feast in our exquisite dining room but most of all – to enjoy our great quality menu, simply prepared.

    Celebrating my birthday and our anniversary. Really enjoyed our evening at The Drumming Snipe. The service was from the team was friendly, happy and welcoming. The food was all cooked well and arrived hot. It was delicious. We had starters and a main course with some side dishes but it was just a little too much for us to go for a dessert. Then a tiny complimentary celebration brownie with clotted cream arrived one wishing me a happy birthday and the other wishing us happy anniversary. Thank you Drumming Snipe. What a lovely touch.

    The marquee area is just right for this time of year, open to the fresh air but sheltered from the Sun and any passing rain shower. The bamboo planted at one side gives it a tropical illusion, and the pleasant open lawn with shrubs is well shielded from winds by well tended high hedges.

    Lovely roast with unlimited sides. Child’s portion for our 9 year old was perfect. Lovely attentive staff and a great recommendation from our waitress for a delicious Sicilian white wine (Fido?)

    We had agreed great evening at our first visit to the Snipe. Service was faultless, food was impeccable and as it was Friday there was a superb special fish menu. We also benefited from cocktail and draught beer happy hour for some unexpected extras.

    The mains were good, but the starters amazing. My wife had the asparagus and I had the Scotch Egg to start. I had the Scotch egg the last time we were there, and couldn't believe it could be as good a second time - but it was. It was surprisingly quiet for a Thursday evening, but it meant we could chat to our waiter, and that was very engaging. We're looking forward to our next visit once they have their summer menu in place.
