Part of New Forest Collection and set right in the heart of the New Forest, Hampshire, our family and dog friendly pub & restaurant boasts a country style cosy bar for relaxing with a drink, and extensive gardens for al fresco dining.

We’re passionate about serving the taste of the New Forest with every mouthful and tipple. Meaning we use the very best of local ingredients and New Forest Marque accredited suppliers, along with local distilleries, brewhouse’s and vineyards to proudly feature behind our bar.

Family friendly, we offer great value children's meals, colouring packs and an outdoor play area to keep them happy. Plus, dogs are welcomed with delicious dog biscuits, water bowls and towels for muddy paws.

    Overall food was nice , I had fish and chips, 8 just would have love a thicker lump of fish in the batter as thinly cut, the batter tast overtook the taste of the fish

    Staff very friendly and food very good; although portion on the small side. Had more of a restaurant vibe rather than country pub, which was slightly disappointing.

    Very disappointing. I’d been wanting to visit The Drift for such a long time as it looks so lovely from what I’ve seen online but our visit on Saturday was really disappointing. Whilst the service was generally good, the food was awful. I ordered the rigatoni which was very bland and far from what was advertised on the menu - literally just a handful of pasta in a tasteless, creamy sauce - for £17!! My friend ordered the burger which was over cooked and very tough and dry. We felt awkward and didn’t like to complain as we had already had to have our drinks replaced due to the glasses being so dirty the wine was almost furry looking. Such a shame - a really nice looking pub in a lovely location with some very nice staff, just terrible food on this occasion.

    A very good restaurant with really good quality produce and tasty dishes. The only thing is say is that the menu lacks some variety. Maybe another fish dish and pasta dish on the menu? Otherwise, fantastic and great service! Thank you!

    Slow service, very limited food choice, poor ambience. Food was nice. Staff were nice, just not organised. Drinks well overpriced and not in stock.

    Had booked a table for four people. Staff for friendly and welcoming but unfortunately food took a while to come out and we did have to ask a number of times for more table water and the card reader. Food was nice but did take a while to come out.

    Disappointing evening meal. Limited menu. Ok food but expensive for what it was. Staff pleasant and efficient though.
