Kings Dining & Entertainment - Cool Springs Franklin
Tried the Dine and Bowl option thru the website. It sent me to Open Table. Made the reservation and later got an email asking if we were still planning on going. I responded yes. When we finished our dinner and asked about the bowling, the waitress had to get the manager who didn’t believe we had done anything about the Dine and Bowl. I walked him through the process that I went through and he saw what I had done. He allowed us to go to the top of the waitlist. When I saw him later in the evening, I thanked him, but he kinda glared at me like he didn’t believe me despite me showing him what I did. You need a better process though the King’s Dining and Entertainment website.
Service was horrible & unacceptable. The restaurant should not take reservations if they cannot accommodate guests. Food & cocktails were great, but it took a lot of effort in tracking down a human to take the order & even longer to get drinks delivered. The most inefficient experience I have had to date.
Great dine and bowl experience. Ask for George.
Terrible service, it was not our server’s fault, she just had too many tables. It was 45 minutes before we even ordered our meal. Overall not impressed.
Our group of 7 did a Dine and Bowl on a Tuesday during lunch time. There were 2 other groups (one of 6; one of 3) of people eating when we were there. Neither of those groups bowled post-lunch. We arrived at 12:10 for our 12:15 PM reservation and found no one working at the front. At 12:15, someone coming from the back finally came to the front. He did not greet us or ask if we had a reservation, I had to say that we made one online. He walked around and found a table that had "reserved" sign on it and said I think this is it. We sat from 12:15-1:15 before our food was brought out. We had to ask for refills, we weren't offered them. The server was not attentive or seemed like he wanted to be there. I observed 6-8 people that worked there, but only interacted with our server and someone who set up the bowling room for us. Once our group was done, we got settled into the bowling room, which was a nice set up. And we appreciated being able to keep our drinks and order anything else if we liked. Our group didn't order dessert but we did ask for refills. We started to bowl and one of the lanes broke within the first frame. We had to search to find someone to fix it. And after it was apparently fixed, we were not informed. So, we sat until someone asked if it was working okay. Overall, the environment was nice and we wanted to like it, but the service for a mid-day Tuesday was horrific. I would hate to see the service when it is busy. If you are set up to take reservations, it seems that we would have been treated a little better than what we got for what we paid.
it took around 30 mins to get our food. service was slow. overpriced.
Sports bar, bowling alley, restaurant combined. Fun atmosphere, great service, good food and outstanding lemon drop cocktail from our wonderful bartender. I'd go again in a heartbeat.
The noise level was a little hard to take. Thank you for being sensitive to that! , but otherwise it was a great experience, and The Whisey Room was outstanding!!! Loved iy , I hope to be a regular!
We had really high expectations for our rare date night. It started out with an extremely rude young blonde girl at the front desk. However that all changed when we entered The Draft Room. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. The (DELICIOUS!!!) food took quite a while but we were prepared (thanks to the reviews we had read online) since we had tickets to the 7pm concert next door in The Whiskey Room. Speaking of The Whiskey Room, if it weren’t for the band (Mixtape) we would not be happy at all with this place. The very limited bar staff they had was not very friendly, they DO NOT have table service, AND they add huge taxes onto your cocktails even though you have to wait in line for 10-20 minutes to get one. We dropped over $50 on 2 drinks each. Sad thing is that we would have spent more if there was any kind of service to speak of. I should have grabbed a tray and started taking orders. Could have made a fortune! Lol
We bowled as well, but since they do not observe any kind of lane courtesy we only stayed for one game...plus it is overpriced like everything else at King’s - $14 for one 15 minute game and we had our own shoes and balls.
We had a new server. It was Valentine’s Day. It took forever to take our order. My wife was done eating before my meal came out. They still got my order wrong. Bowling costs an arm and a leg. Tacos were great when they came out after over an hour.
It was just ok,the apps were good. Kiddos didn’t like their pizza neither did I. Wife had the gluten-free pizza as well as oldest daughter. Both said very greasy tried them both and agreed. Not inedible just not stellar.
Thought we had the bowling wrapped up in the reservation that wasn’t part of it. To get that you have to call in advance. Doesn’t make sense. They did get us on the list anyway so that was good.
Overall a bit pricey in general.
Great place to take kids.
It was Too expensive. Not a great value. It’s bowling.
The service was slow and disjointed. The bowling was fun, but highly overpriced. The overall atmosphere is energetic, but the pricing, service, and lack in customer service lead to a lackluster experience.
Service was awful. Arrived at 5:45 and did not get food until 7:45.
I'm not much for going out but met some friends for the National Championship game. As an Alabama fan, the game sucked! However, the view of the giant TV's, the food, excellent service, and the atmosphere (and of course the friends), made the entire experience wonderful!
My husband and I had dinner and then bowled a few games. The food was good and the service was great! We had the private bowling room! That was a surprise because we didn’t know it was an option! We had a fun date night and would do it again.
Arrived on Sunday, our 5able was ready and our server, Jordan was available to take drink orders. The order was taken, but it took over 35 minutes to get our food. Jordan always kept our drinks refilled during this long wait. Our bowling alley was ready when we had finished eating and the transition to the lane was seamless, with our shoes already present on the lane.
I would highly recommend for happy hour. Waitress was wonderful and happy hour food prices are excellent! Appetizers were delicious. Bowling alley staff was rude and not accommodating. The girl working the checkin desk for bowling unfriendly and uninterested in listening. She tainted our experience.
My family and a few friends met to eat and bowl. The bowling side of Kings was great- very attentive, clean, and fun. The restaurant side was a totally different experience. Our waiter disappeared for long periods of time. Nowhere to be found. We wondered if he was also the cook. He also chose not to write any of our order down and got my sons and my husbands order wrong. It took forever to get hamburgers, which were mediocre at best. We waited for drink refills are got up to leave before anyone bothered to bring a bill. None of the other waitstaff seemed interested in helping either. It was not busy, which is very telling on a Saturday afternoon at Cool Springs. Bottom line- ok to come bowl but there are literally 100 better options for food in the area.
Great place! You need to try! Great for groups and sports! Love the bowling! ALso good to hear music!
To be honest I was pretty disappointed in this place. The food was blah and the waitress almost seemed annoyed with us. I also were very accommodating about the bowling lanes and that was the main reason we went and didn’t even get a bowl because they had some holiday parties they said. When I called for making the reservation they said you have to put your name down when you order your entrée and the waitress told us it would be to ou I called one making the reservation they said you have to put your name down when you order your entrée and the waitress told us it would be 2 hours.
I have never written a review on open table. However, is tough to give this place a less then ideal review. The manager is a great guy and our server was nice. Unfortunately each time we go to Kings bowl the service is ultra slow. It is a neat restaurant with screens to watch games and bowling/games on the other side for the kids. We just wish their service and food delivery times were better.
It was great went to watch the football game
Had a wonderful server, food was good and a Great place to watch sports! Had fun bowling and playing games. I think if you eat dinner there you shouldn’t have to pay the cover charge for the band at the Whiskey room.
Great place to watch sporting events on TV. Food is decent. I DID NOT LIKE NOR DID I KNOW ABOUT THE 24.??% TAX ON ALCOHOL
Service was terrible. We sat at our table for almost 15 minutes before a waitress even came to our table.
After we ordered she had to come back a second time because she could not remember what we had ordered.
It took 30 minutes to get our salad. At that point a manager took over our table and things moved a little quicker. He did apologize and gave us some bowling coupons to use next time.
The restaurant was not even busy and we were there for way too long with two small kiddos. So, don’t go if you’re in a hurry!
This place was definately great - it really added to our trip to nashville! The food was amazing- and the bowling was a lot of fun. I feel like we may have caught our food waitress on an off night though.. she wasnt very attentive and we had to find her so we could place our order. She was very quiet and just almost seemed annoyed. I wanted to ask for another server but my friend said not to bother. Everything else was amazing and we got to meet one of the chefs and the manager as well and they were super friendly and amazing!
Almost $200 for a family of four to eat “bar food”. Decent quality food, however service is typically slow and inconsistent.
Nice sports bar atmosphere; great service and decent food. Staff was overly sweet to us.
Absolutely had a fun filled 12 year anniversary night out my husband and family! Loved every minute of it! Will come back again and the staff was fantastic, warm and friendly! Perfect!
Hostess didn't greet us with a smile nor did she feel welcoming. Server was nice but disappeared a lot so we were low on drinks and condiments the whole time. One person's meal came out with grilled chicken raw in the center. Everyone was done eating and our bowling lane was ready by the time the food got recooked and brought out. No manager came by to apologize however they didn't charge us for that meal. The bowling lanes needed more wax and they crammed 8 of us on one lane. 9 people or more get 2 lanes...this was annoying because there wasn't enough room to move around or to all sit. Evidently some of the lanes had a server but we never saw one so just got drinks at bar. There were 2 mechanical issues while we were there for 2 games. Lastly, the screen starts basically telling you to hurry up which I don't think is good business. Oh and our party asked 3 staff members to refill the paper towels in women's bathroom. It wasn't until I addressed it with a manager that the paper towels got refilled. This place could be really great if someone could run it properly.
Great lunch venue! Surprised that there were so few people there.
Do you not market to the lunch business crowd?
Already submitted an email regarding a recent visit. I understand it’s very busy on Saturday night but service was very poor. We had six out of town guest they were all extremely disappointed .
Service was bad for food and drinks. Too bad cool place.
Our waitress was awful! She seemed to forget about us most of the time. Two other waitresses ended up helping us. She got my order wrong and never came back until after another waitress came by and fixed my order. The food was good the atmosphere was nice but our waitress really messed the whole experience up. We asked if the sangria's had fruit she said yes like strawberries so my friend and I got them no fruit but not that big of a deal I just ordered a Mai Tai the next time but between that, her getting my order wrong, her not checking on us and her attitude it was not a good experience. The bowling also is a lot higher than other places and they couldn't show us a price sheet or anything just told us it was $84 for 4 of us to bowl 2 games usually it's $56 or less for us including the shoes! Especially before the rush we ate at 5:15 and bowled at 7.
Our server was amazing. Definitely the highlight. The prices are too high for us to visit frequently, but it’s a nice getaway once a year.
Service is so slow!!! I had same experience the first time but decided to give it a second shot. It’s really sad they can spend so much effort on everything but miss on a controllable like service. I saw 4 people come in and go to the bar and after sitting there for 5 min leave. I saw a dad and kids wait 20 minutes for their desert and the little girl cried because it took so long. We left to go bowling because tired of waiting for check. They never brought it so we had to ask for it when leaving. This was during lunch and they were not busy. I can’t imagine what it’s like when busy!
Great food for a sports bar
We were out for mom's night out and it was truly a blast. Food was outstanding. We were a little unsure of how things would go but we ended up staying from our 630pm reservation til closing. We couldn't of asked for a better time. Food, drinks, service it was all amazing. Have already done some recommending to friends and family. So many pictures. So much fun. Great memories made.
