   I absolutely love the unique menu! Not only is the ingredients delicious but they are extraordinarily superb! The staff is very welcoming and the restaurant is quaint and relaxing. I said I would be back and I did and will again!

   Our group of four had the perfect afternoon at The Downing Bottles and Bites. They were busy with all the traffic from Founders Day Festival and wine walk, but they managed it with ease. It is such a charming place with a phenomenal menu. It’d be perfect for a date night, casual girls night out, or brunch. I’ll definitely be back!

   Great brunch for Mother’s Day. So many great items to pick from that I had a hard time making up my mind. All our food was wonderful. Great selection of craft beers and wines. The chef has expanded the menu for brunch, lunch, & dinner. The Downing has never disappointed me.

   The food was delicious, and the presentation was spot-on. Our server was nice, but the first thing she asked us upon contact was if we were ready to order. We were, of course, not. We quickly decided, but then we didn't see her again for fifteen minutes. Normally not a big deal, but we were in a bit of a time crunch. Will definitely come back, though!

    It's a cute little place tuckled in the middle of Rockwall. The charcuterie board and bottle of wine we had were delicious - and a steal for $40 for their Wed night special. Looking forward to coming back when the weather is nice so that we can check out the patio!

    Service was a little slow at first but made up for it by the end. Fabulous food! Cute inside although we sat on the patio which is small but nice. Need more sunshade on the patio. We had some kind of Brie, prosciutto and apricot jam sandwich that was wonderful! The chicken salad may be the best I’ve ever had. We had a flight of red wine and white which was good and fun. Definitely will return. Definitely recommend!

    First time at this establishment so wasn’t sure what to expect. We reserved a table in “the bottle room” which is a small area tucked in behind the main area. The space was pleasant but the kitchen is open to this area so the noise level is a bit high. Food was unique but well prepared I’d suggest giving it a go if you’re considering.

    First time here for NYE. It was phenomenal! Even our two littles loved the fresh pita bread and hummus. All the food was so fresh and delicious. Great wine. We will definitely be back. Great date spot too! The atmosphere is perfect. Such a hidden gem in Rockwall.

    First time to have Brunch. Amazing experience. We will be back soon. I’m going to have a Bloody Mary next. They looked great going by. We go here often for dinner, but the brunch we loved as well. Downing is a home run spot.

    I love this place!! The food is always so flavorful and the staff are so kind and attentive. Elaina (not sure of spelling) was wonderful and I loved that she remembered me from an event I had attended a month before. This is my new favorite place in Downtown Rockwall!

    We loved the interior. We had lunch on the patio and the noise from the street (people dragging trash bins, UPS trucks slamming truck doors) was distracting. We realize street noise can’t be controlled by the restaurant-just an FYI in case you are sensitive about these type of things. It was also a little dirty. Seems like it should be cleaned off each morning. Cheese board was wonderful but could use a second cracker option. Also, menu said it included goat cheese stuffed peppers but we didn’t get any. Overall we really enjoyed it. The Flight Wine option was great. We found two new wines to buy. WE WILL BE BACK!

    My favorite restaurant in Rockwall. Food is excellent and the muffaletto is the closest thing I've had to the food from my hometown of New Orleans.
