The Dorsey Cocktail Lounge
This visually stunning cocktail bar, created in collaboration with a renowned team of New York City hospitality notables, offers great drinks and music. The Dorsey is at the forefront of sophisticated and “grown-up” nightlife on the Strip.
With music curated nightly based on the vibe of the crowd, The Dorsey is the perfect spot for an intimate drink for two, or for a livelier weekend night, after dinner or before hitting a club.
If tables are not available via OpenTable please contact us directly or just pop by for a drink at our expansive bar or our communal tables. For larger group reservations and private or semi-private events, please email us at Thedorsey@sands.com
When you read about the Dorsey, it seems like you'll be shown to an actual table and then have someone lead you through the different specialty cocktails to help you decide. I made a reservation for a birthday celebration and when we arrived, we stood at the hostess stand for a few minutes before I decided just to step over to the bar and ask if we were to seat ourselves. Now that they knew we there, we were asked to wait while they "readied" our table. After a few minutes, we are lead to an area with two low loveseats and three small occasional tables between them. We are told that we have the one loveseat and the two little stools on either end of the area for our party. There were people seated on the other loveseat, but facing the aisle, so I guess that makes it okay. It was rather loud and we were handed menus and left to choose. Not exactly the cozy learning experience I was expecting. Shanna our waitress was amazing but it was very busy so she could only do so much. We finally got our order and we were shocked at how small the drinks were since they were almost $20 each. I thought I had an actual full drink before I realized that most of my highball glass was filled with a long square ice cube which just made the glass look full and diluted my drink as it melted. Boo. So a split of sparkling wine and two drinks plus tip was almost two hundred dollars and we ended up leaving because the seating arrangements made it hard to have a conversation sitting in a row on a loveseat. No one in the restaurant even made note of the birthday. Very disappointed.

Family met there; wonderful hand crafted. Drinks; great music and atmostphere.
Great drinks and cool environment!
Swanky and fun. Food was actually very good, just apps.
This os the place. Music was good. Excellent waitress and service she was awesome and friendly!
The drinks were good and fairly priced. We had two dirty martinis extra olives. They proved three olives in total, but be careful because they’re not pitted. We had the fries, but I wouldn’t recommend them. We made reservations, but we couldn’t sit in the library area because it “wasn’t busy” they said, but saw people sitting in their before our reservation and during our reservation.
The music was a little loud. We were looking for a nice, upscale place to sit and talk, but we had to try and talk over the music. Other than that its a great place. Wish they would turn the music down a notch though.
Awesome atmosphere and drinks! All the drinks on the Boozy section of the menu are awesome and live up to their boozy names. Live Dj played music from the late 90s, all our favs! A very fun night!
Service was excellent
Drinks were well made and the pricing was good. I rated the food, although we didn’t eat anything (rating was required). Service was good and the ambiance was great. I would go back.
I enjoyed the the location overall. I would go back and I would recommend it to someone that wants an elegant but relaxed ambiance with good cocktails. I would suggest management to overwatch the servers performance. There were a few times I was waiting a while to get another drink.
Excellent experience! Arrived Friday at 11 pm had a table reserved. Great atmosphere and delicious cocktails. Definitely will return!
Great service and drinks... visiting from Nashville
Loud, slow service
We chose to sit a bar because it is an open air lounge and the smoke from the casino floor is heavy.
Our first bartender was friendly and courteous, taking the time to explain everything to us. However for some reason about halfway through a new batch of bartenders showed up so the guy we had was sent to the other end of the bar and then we had Lisa who ended up being snippy and condescending. She treated my wife rudely. Ruined the night. Never going back. When you spend the money to have a nice time out, the staff should always make you feel important not like their doing you a favor by serving you.
Terrible service. Cheesy outfits. Too bad because concept is good.
Service was horrible. They didn’t charge us right and we didn’t pay attention since we were talking to another group of people from where I grew up. Waitress had to run us down with another bill before we got away. Horrible experience. We’d had much better visits in the past.
Great cocktails, and great music! Try to reserve a table; it's worth it with their fancy comfy couches. They also played a lot of East Coast 90's hip-hop on Friday, so if I go again, that'll definitely be the day if they rotate DJs on different days like a lot of the other Vegas clubs.
Tired facility. Smokey and loud. Not “uptempo”, just loud.
Not interested in listening to rap and foul language songs. Waitress was rude when we asked what was taking so long for our food. The glass of Cabernet was warm and of poor quality. Too bad because the atmosphere (seating and decor) was nice.
Glad we made a reservation, it was crowded when we went. We met some friends there, but the noise level was a bit high: we could hear the conversation of the group next to us clearly! The down side was the smoke from the casino was very strong, and my eyes teared up and throat burned (we were seated next to the casino, and there is no window to separate it) The staff did draw the curtains, but it didn't really help. So if you are sensitive to smoke like I am, make sure to request a table away from the casino. I had a non-alcoholic drink made with ginger and enjoyed it very much $10. Our small-bite was very tasty. Service was attentive
Really fun place to go and relax. Service remains painfully slow.
Drinks and atmosphere were awesome. The Penicillin lives up to its reputation. Must order.
Loved the drinks, super cozy and had an awesome waitress!
The mixologist are over the top! The environment and the seating extraordinarily comfortable and the music was excellent. Unfortunately however the establishment must be run by the mixologist for the concierge and the service was extraordinarily poor had to call out for service had asked for a second cocktail in an environment that is asking $20 for a mixed drink which is highly worth it because the mixologist are so good. I will not return however unfortunately if you’re looking for a great drink this is a great place if you’re looking for service this is not.
Waitress was exquisite and the drinks were phenomenal. An evening of relaxation with a great vibe
They never came to our table to get our order and they closed two hours early. Winter kept banging my seat every time he passed by with trash to dump.
Great vibe !! Drinks were very good. A little pricey, but it’s the strip. We didn’t get any food . Awesome music !! Best part is that you could make reservations!!! You don’t have to wait around for a group to get up and run after their seats
Made a reservation for a table after the Human Nature Jukebox. Table was ready just as requested. Our server, Taylor, was great! She went out of her way to accommodate us and made our evening very comfortable!
We were looking for a "grown up" place to have drinks. Something more sophisticated than a nightclub, and Dorsey fit that bill up until about 10pm when they doubled the volume on the music. It went from and urbane, cosmopolitan mix to a very loud DJ who was playing music that really didn't fit the atmosphere. It wasn't bad music, but it didn't fit the clientele or the setting at all. It was the very thing we were trying to avoid. There's a place for loud DJs but it's not at the Dorsey.
Fantastic lounge with great music and amazing drinks! Love the disco ball drinks, a must have!!!
Not the ambiance we were hoping for. Large groups of men, all smoking cigars.
Although the drinks were good, it wasn’t anything over the top. Service was okay, could have been better for what we have received at other venues in Vegas. The ladies were beautiful that served us but as shared nothing major about the drinks.
Beautiful space with outstanding drinks: inventive variations on classics but (thankfully) nothing ridiculous. Restrained and perfectly executed.
They were able to accommodate 2 extra people in our party and everything was lovely. Guacamole, fried rice, many cocktails. We love the vibe here.
Cute little bar inside Venitian. Server was not pleasant but she may have been having an off day. Nice by the glass selection of Champagne.
Cool little cocktail lounge! Love the ambiance and music and it’s also very comfortable with the couch set up!
Great spots to stop in for some drinks and music. We loved the ambiance and live music
It was Great
