The Dorian is an ode to a bygone era, a modern day parlor for the bohemians, libertines and free thinkers among us. A place where Oscar Wilde might have dropped in for a drink or Jerry Thomas would have tended bar. Offering fresh provisions and fine whiskey, The Dorian is the quintessential destination to enjoy good times for good times sake.
Our menu draws from San Francisco’s rich culinary history, taking the liberty to explore and re-invent nostalgic favorites and concoct new dishes alike. Our beverage program treads a bohemian path, borrowing from the past and dreaming up new ways to have fun through libations. We couple this with an extensive list of over 120 whiskeys from around the world.

Service was good, food was mediocre, tiny portions. Atmosphere gritty at outside tables.
Food was great and a service too). We had a great time!
They've done a wonderful job with their outdoor ambiance. The tables in front of the restaurant are mostly in the sun, so if you catch it on a sunny day it's the perfect place to enjoy a drink and some food.
Of course difficult to rise to the occasion in times of COVID. Great service considering being seated around the corner from the front of the restaurant. Drinks were standard. Poke tacos subpar for the price. Fries much better at Souvla down the street.
Bar drinks were great; food was ok - not really special but acceptable. However dining outside was cold! It was a foggy SF day - but there were no outside heaters and with the wind blowing it was quite chilly. I’m so happy they are making such great efforts provide a restaurant dining experience - but clearly SF weather is a challenge!
Great good and service. They need heat lamps though as it’s too cold for outdoor dining.
Been to the Dorian countless of times. Went there today with a reservation and experience was very subpar. After we ordered, we were asked if we can move to another table to accommodate another party which we didn’t object. The waiter, Chris, said he’ll bring over something as a nice gesture and then asked if my dog wanted some water, which I agreed and thanked him. Unfortunately, he didn’t follow through with either of those things which i thought “then just don’t mention anything in the first place.” Last dish of grilled artichoke came out late after we finished all our food and had a weird consistency so we barely touched it.
Didn’t bother mentioning anything (until now) as a courtesy given covid, paid the full bill and tip, and moved on. Wife says she won’t be returning here again.
Shocked they didn’t have heat lamps for outdoor seating in San Francisco
great for outdoor dining during the pandemic. get the truffle fries!
sf basic for brunch. Food is better than fine and the drinks are great all around
The service and management was excellent. Enjoyed the food, music and atmosphere. Will be back.
Outside seating was OK we had them turn down the music so we could talk. Some tables are very need the speakers. The food and service were very good and the prices reasonable.
Good venue, but really loud music.
We loved having brunch a The Dorian! My friends and I loved the froze with the Nerds candy on top - such a cute touch! Absolutely by far my new favorite brunch spot! The staff were super friendly and fun, the food was killer and its absolutely adorable - cannot wait to eat inside when we are able to!
Stellar service - so nice to be able to go out during these times. They did a wonderful job adapting. Kudos
We had dinner outside at Dorian, and it was amazing. Highly recommend and 5/5 stars. The outdoor patio was well distanced between tables, and every table was full. The burger is one of the best in the city, and the place has an extensive wine and cocktail list.
Suggest to make reservations in advance, particularly on weekends. Outstanding service as well!
Had one of the best times on the Dorian patio. I had the steak was perfectly cooked the truffle fries was excellent. Had a great time with friends. Definitely save room for the Apple pie à la mode so good
We love it here and we will never go anywhere else.
It was a first night out since the shelter in place. The food was good and so was the service. Very friendly servers. Outdoor seating and it was a cool night, so less than ideal but just happy to be able to eat out again.
I cannot express how much I love The Dorian. The outdoor spots are spacious and it was so welcomed after 3 months of being inside. The staff was friendly, helpful and so on top of everything.
Also, I heard a few of them remind people of masks which is KEY right now.
Chia seed parfait was a big miss for us. Shakshuka was a bit heavy on spices. Not a huge fan of the food. But service was good.
Spacious outdoor seating on the wide sidewalk. Very friendly staff and good food.
We love the decor of the Dorian, and the staff is always very friendly. However lately they have been becoming a party scene with loud music and a focus on the bar. We don’t always feel welcome as a family with two small children. The food quality has also declined in recent months. There are inaccuracies in the menu, which are critical for food allergies. For example, the chia seed parfait did not contain some ingredients listed. It also says it’s made with almond milk, but our server told us it’s actually coconut milk. As a family with food allergies (tree nuts) this is dangerous for us. We expect more from the Dorian. We have been going there for years.
Great food, awesome service.
Remembering lost ones
Sauces repeated on us and were too sweet. Worst meals for all five of us.
Cocktails were good as a positive
Everyone had a great time and the place is lovely. The value is above average. They are right to advise alternatives to driving, parking is really really tough here. A night to remember!
We made a reservation online and were seated in the lounge area. They told us they serve full menu there but it was very loud. We could hardly hear each other. We asked to be moved with no success. It was a Sat night, though. Quite busy. And it was very tight where we sat. Food was ok. My pork belly buns were good but the mushroom appetizer was nothing special - deep fried mushrooms with some sauce. Drinks were good, just don’t try the frozen rose - way to sweet. In terms of service, they brought is the food with no utensils or napkins for everyone. We had to ask.
Done about town with a group of friends
Great atmosphere if you like it on the noisy side (as expected in a sports bar). Great deal on the Happy Hour drinks and oysters, and they were extremely good to boot. Really good server, attentive but not overly so, knowledgeable about the food and drinks, rapid friendly service. Truffle fries and smoked trout truly yummy (and generous portions too).
Really nice experience with great service
Super cute vibe & aesthetic with delicious snacks & cocktails. This place is perfect for a ladies Brunch/Happy Hour!
Friendly service, great food, amazing cocktails
AMAZING!!! From the atmosphere to the food, our experience was nothing short of amazing!!!! Allison was super sweet and she made us feel like we have been friends for months! Taryn and Justin are cocktail geniuses!!! I could go on and on but it's best you check it out for yourself!
We were pretty disappointed with our experience at the Dorian. We’ve been for Brunch but wanted to try dinner. The food was pretty terrible, the service was worse...there are a lot of better restaurants in the area I would chose.
Server was amazing. Food mediocre. Loud and a bunch of really loaded people at the bar. Fun place but not for families imho.
Nice quiet corner booth as requested. Friendly accommodating wait staff
Dinning here it was a nice/ chic interior
Food are just ok, it was more like a bar type finger food. If you are looking for a bar and a great cocktails. This place is the place to come and hang. They have a good happy hour deal everyday.
The host is super nice and freindly but Our server was very unfreindly and unprofessional. Need an improvement on that. Reservation on an open table at 6:45pm on Thursday 14. Just wanted to give comments on your future reference.
It would have been a 4 stars but the server might have ruined it. When she spoke to me at first it was more like a commanding sentence not a questions. But later on she realize that she should not speak to a customer like that so she change her tone and try to act professional/nicer but first imppession always count.
We gave her 15% tips because at the end she was better in service.
