The Dorian is an ode to a bygone era, a modern day parlor for the bohemians, libertines and free thinkers among us. A place where Oscar Wilde might have dropped in for a drink or Jerry Thomas would have tended bar. Offering fresh provisions and fine whiskey, The Dorian is the quintessential destination to enjoy good times for good times sake.
Our menu draws from San Francisco’s rich culinary history, taking the liberty to explore and re-invent nostalgic favorites and concoct new dishes alike. Our beverage program treads a bohemian path, borrowing from the past and dreaming up new ways to have fun through libations. We couple this with an extensive list of over 120 whiskeys.
Now open at 100% capacity! We encourage reservations, but welcome walk-ins.

Came for restaurant week! Such a great deal. The staff was incredible and the vibes were great! Just wish the food was a little better!
The food was very good and service was fine. The Nashville sliders and burrata were my favorite
Great meal with our daughter and her friends. Sat indoors. Salmon with corn succotash was really good. We were there very early - 5:45, so not sure if noise level gets a lot louder later but I assume so.
Had made a reservation 4 days prior for indoor dining for 5 and there was no 5 top table available when we arrived. We had to eat outdoors at 4 top squeeze in a 5th chair which literally had to sit on the corner of the table with a planter in front.
Why make a reservation if there is not a table available. Hostesses we’re not that friendly and could not really explain to us why.
Our actual server was on point with service of meals.
Great drinks, great food, great service!
Food wasn’t great. Was definitely not the nicest food we’ve had in San Francisco. Fries tasted like they were oven cooked from frozen. Burger was mediocre. Shakshouka was bland. Drinks were just ok. There are other places along that street that are way better.
Deafening loud music. Weren’t waited on for 30 minutes. Food was OK.
Beautiful place, vibrant and upscale ambiance. Cocktails are great, especially Espresso Martini.
The Dorian provided indoor and outdoor seating. Although, we are vaccinated, we chose to sit outside. We were seated right under the heater outside. The atmosphere was awesome!!!
The big “D” breakfast, eggs up, short stack, Vermont maple syrup, billionaires bacon and house butter was filling. If you like syrup on every bite of pancake, don’t hesitate to ask for extra syrup. The house made butter was very smooth and glided onto the pancake nicely. Didn’t need to use too much. I ordered over medium eggs, in which was new to me as it just rolled off my tongue. I like my yolk runny and the egg white cooked pretty firmly.
Dungeness crab, herb and citrus salad, pickled chili, toasted sourdough and curry hollandaise was delectable. Wish there were two crab cakes for the price, with the delicious hollandaise sauce, an extra crab cake would’ve been even better. The Tea selection was slim, Chai or chamomile, however, in this area the majority would enjoy the spirits/cocktails. The cocktails looked very attractive. Mimosa anyone? We enjoyed the food and plan to return in the future.
The appetizers and brunch menu were great for a relaxing patio get-together with cocktails. Had a great time!
Reviewed the menu before and was excited to try the place. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. Took like an hour to receive the food and then didn’t even finished my plate. Ordered crab Benedict and the bread was so hard I couldn’t even eat it, that’s a first. The crab was actually flavorful.
Service average . Do not think I would go back.
The manager is the best!
Nice ambience and good food but service is a little slow due to only one server
Slow and poor service. Took forever to have a server come say hello and provide menus. We asked for no cheese on our salad and the salad came with cheese. We ordered wine halfway through dinner that didn't even make it to the table and had to cancel it at the end of the meal because we had already finished dining. The food was not interesting and we asked for our steak prepared medium and it was definitely rare. Not sure if it was just post COVID re calibration or if it's always like this but won't return or recommend.
I've had a wonderful brunch here, great atmosphere, urban vibe but still kinda cosy. The food great, the bloody Mary was great, and the oysters are fresh and yummy.
We had a delicious brunch with fun drinks and amazing food.
Incredible food, kind service, given complimentary birthday glass of wine. The ambiance and design of the restaurant was stunning. Perfect birthday dinner
We were there on Sunday for a light dinner and couple of drinks. The oysters were very fresh and good. However, steak frites is small portion for the value and had not much taste.
Great outdoor dining, food, staff, drinks— will absolutely return and often!
The food was delicious and the service was perfect. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience
Server was great and then she had to leave. New server barely came by and forgot our drinks until basically the bill came.
Super fun evening, very good service though a bit slow, it was friendly and responsive-the food was yummy, ambiance fun although the music was kind of super loud. But hey I’m an old lady so what are you gonna do? A good time was had by all. I will definitely come back
This place really exceeded expectations! Highly recommend
The host was very nice, but our waitress was rude and condescending. When I asked for a drink they didn’t have she just said “no” and didn’t offer any alternatives (it was up to me to find out that they had a *very similar* drink on their menu). Later she came up after we’d been waiting for food for a while, and when I asked about the wait she gave a condescending response that made me feel talked down to and disrespected.
When the food finally came, it was mediocre. The waitress disappeared by that point so I had to ask the nice host for the check, which he brought promptly.
Ok…the place is very nicely decorated in luscious tones of turquoise and green…beautiful!.
We sat inside instead of out…but in retrospect we should have just sat outside because the music was so loud we could hardly hear sitting right next to each other.
The food was alright…fish and chips and Dorian burger but nothing special.
Our waitress forgot she took our order and came back to our table 45 mins later to take our order. We waited an hour and 20 mins for our food. She didn’t apologize and said it was because of take our orders but everyone around us who came after us got their meals before we did.
They made us wait 15 minutes after making a reservation for 3pm. The menu had 4 items available. We left after having one drink.
Lovely decor and atmosphere! Drinks are great, food is good and service is dope! One of my fav spots in the Marina!
Poor service (really just inexperienced server), and even worse food. Burger bun was stale, (burger was $18), and Brussel sprouts were cold. Cocktails were decent, but expensive. Seems like a high priced comfort food hang out for young ppl.
the food was soooo bad, it was cold and came out so fast it was obvious it wasnt freshly cooked but the drinks were awesome. would come back just to sit at the bar.
Great drinks, great food, great vibes. Service was a little slow but it was a Sunday brunch and still very enjoyable
Met up with a friend for brunch and enjoyed the delicious food and drinks! The service was great as well. We will be back!
Nothing to write home about, but our server, Gwen, was great.
Aside from the most mediocre steak I’ve ever had, the ambiance, and abundance of hot people in San Francisco sandwiched next to each other, makes up for it. Nice drinks too. I’ll be back maybe they were having an off day on food.
We recently dined at The Dorian. It is a very popular place with a great bar. It was crowded but the service was very good. We really enjoyed the food. It is not a great place to have a serious conversation but it’s fun.
Based on their Instagram, I was so excited to eat here. Upon arrival, that excitement slowly began to fade. Once we sat down, our server came by and the vibe was already off. She was very short and not very helpful. She was way too concerned about the table behind us, which was very clear in how you catered to them but gave me a slight eye roll when I asked for ice with my water. I overheard her give them free items and extra stuff to go but our food took way longer than it should have to come out. At least 2 surrounding tables got their food before us, even though they sat down after us. I ordered a drink and it came out in the tiniest cup, their excuse was they "ran out of the cute big cups", seriously? We weren't really asked how things were, what we needed, etc. Our server even apparently went on break because it took 20+ minutes to get our check and a random other staff member took our payment and did so with the same snarky attitude.
The food wasn't terrible but the service and (lack of) drink made it a major flop and let down in my opinion. The area is cute and we walked by several other places to eat that we wish we would have tried over The Dorian.
Waitress too cool for school. Service was so slow and so many options missing from the menus. What a let down. Thought we'd travel from east bay for a fathers days treat and it was such a disappointment. Also saw a few tables around us leave too after eating to be served for miles too long. Biggest ever said is waitress attitude which sets the tone. Train them up. They need to learn they are in the hospitably business. What a waste of my hard earned $160!
Great spot for Fathers Day Brunch!
We had a great evening! Food was amazing!
Food was amazing, staff were super nice and honored my reservation even though my friend was 30 minutes late
