   We should’ve asked for a table inside because the city as usual was freezing. Our server was very nice. Food came fast and there are loads of veggie options. The truffle fries were amazing. The portions are small so i wish the prices would reflect that. But overall good food and neat place. Will definitely go back.

   Feathers day! Yummy and yummy. Crab eggs Benedict roasted moist potashes. Delicious French toast. All really good. Cool vibe too.

   We sat outside on the sidewalk, and so had numerous pedestrians strolling by - nearly all were interested at looking at our food/beverages, and we garnered a few smiles during our meal. The larger groups of pedestrians, talking loudly, forced us to stop our conversation, but (of course) this is true of any sidewalk dining in any major city. The weather was outstanding, as was the service and the food. I asked them to put together a meal which was not their norm, and they were happy to do so AND it was incredibly delicious. My wife's dinner salad was delicious and large, she had enough left to bring home for lunch the next day. Next time we're in SF we are highly likely to return to The Dorian!

   I arrive for my reservation and still wasn’t able to be seated in my requested indoor dining. The hostess wanted to seat me outside. I agreed to wait to sit inside. She told me the reason was making a reservation indoor or outdoor, does not promise you will get the table. I’m not sure what the reservation was for in that case. I would’ve just waited for drop in like everyone else.

   Restaurant had solid decor and ambiance. Very Energetic with music and laughs throughout the room. Service outside of the bartenders, was nowhere near where it needs to be. My Seat was very uncomfortable and the table was tight. Server was Friendly but his lack of attention coupled with them “running out” of champagne bottles at noon was unexpected and unsettling. Beverages came at a snails pace even a customary water refill was never offered. Server would pass right in front of the table several times without stopping for a curiosity check up. Food had good taste and was very acceptable.

   We go to the Dorian about once a month for brunch or dinner! Food is always amazing, service is so smooth and friendly, and everyone always is so welcoming! Our favorite restaurant in the Bay Area!!

   Fabulous experience for brunch with friends! Great ambience , food and service! We ate outdoors which is a wonderful sun trap but am excited to come back as inside looks really cool! So happy we discovered this place!

    Shannon was our server was very attentive. Two managers stopped by and made the experience the wild factor. We got to try drinks and we’re not even on the menu yet. Love the experience will see you all tomorrow

    We were so excited about this place and it went above all expectations!! Wow from the location to the service to the food - it was all amazing! So shoot we got a reservation in time and NOT TO MENTION we got stuff in traffic because of an event going on and the hostess was beyond generous to keep switching it for us until we arrived even when it was soo busy!! Will definitely be back!

    Our server Pat was amazing. She even helped me order a drink that wasn’t on the menu when I told her my preference for rum. She constantly made sure our water glasses were filled and if we wanted to order more food or drinks. She also remembered my name (which is not easy) as we were leaving and saying goodbye. Definitely great service with great food and drinks to follow it up!

    The food was just ok. The Nashville Hot chicken tenders were oily and had no flavor or spice to them. The avocado toast was difficult to eat. I would only go back for the drinks.

    I tried the restaurant week menu and was disappointed by the food. The options for the three course meal sounded good on paper, but the food fell flat in terms of taste. The lobster hush poppies were salty and while the burrata was better, the bread was not fresh and just okay. For entrees, we ordered the chili lime rotisserie chicken and salmon. While the salmon was good, the chicken was a bit bland and the pieces were stacked awkwardly on top of another. The only highlight was the cocktails. Fable of Bees and Alibi were very good. As for service, it was hard to get our server's attention since we sat outside and he didn't come around very often. We ended up going inside to the bar to pay for our check because we were too impatient and wanted to leave after being there for 2 hours. Also, the hosts looked unhappy to be there. While I enjoyed the vibe (it was very lively inside), and the restaurant is in a great location, the overall dining experience was disappointing especially for the price tag.

    There was no room inside, despite making indoor reservations. Outside was pleasant with heaters and flower boxes. Service was poor, mainly due to staffing. Waiter was friendly but didn’t see him much and it’s bad when you need to ask for more water and it take 10 minutes to get. Despite this, food was surprisingly tasty. We did SF restaurant week menu and it didn’t disappoint. Ceasar salad was savory, burrata was creamy, salmon was crispy on outside, soft and tender on inside, and gelato/granita dessert was refreshing.

    Waiter brought me a dirty plate. I asked him to bring me another plate because there was food stuck to it. He grabs the plate and wipes the food off with his apron and gives it back to me. I insisted for another plate and he brings another one but there was blue ink smeared on the plate. This guy was clueless and dirty.

    Oysters: good and fresh Beet carpaccio: good Definitely under staffed. Can’t blame the waitress. Restaurant/kitchen super backed up. Very disappointing experience. We arrived 7 minutes early And waited 30 minutes to be seated with our 7PM OpenTable reservation. Waited another 20 minutes to place orders and to receive plates and silverware. BF walked back to the bar to get our own water. We didn’t want to order more drinks or food. Only had appetizers and two drinks from the bar during our 30 minutes wait. Will not be back and do NOT recommend.

    The food was good. The reason I marked a lower score is because the waiter read the entire bill, including the total cost, out loud to the whole table. I have never had a waiter announce the total cost of the meal to everyone. Announcing the $200 cost lead to conflict within the family over spending too much. This is a terrible practice. I won’t return because of the discomfort and conflict it caused.

    It's been a while since I had last eaten here. Had a good friend in town and wanted to go someplace nice. Had excellent service. Recommend the hush puppies and truffle fries to start! Kinda wanna go back and get more of those!

    We came for two of my friend’s birthdays and had such a great time. The froses always slap, and the waitress was so kind and brought out a complimentary birthday brownie for the birthday girls! It definitely made the experience super special and fun. Will definitely come back.

    I had the best experience at The Dorian on March 4, 2022. Service was amazing and the waist staff made my party feel special. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were delightful and I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and I will be back again!

    Took my daughter to celebrate her 31st birthday to The Dorian. Our reservation was for 4:15pm, so it was pretty quiet. We sat in a booth across from the bar. Our server Dean is what made the evening truly spectacular. He answered any questions we had. He had a great sense of humor, went above and beyond in every aspect of service. He is a rarity and a gem. Per Dean's recommendation we shared the Brussel sprouts. So yummy. Wish I lived closer. Very laid back atmosphere. A genuinely good vibe minute you walk through the door.

    We were excited to return to The Dorian. But three of four entrees came out - one was wrong (missing the chicken add on for a salad, which we ordered two of) and it went sideways from there. Took over 15 minutes for that salad to return and for the 4th entree to come out...which was very lukewarm shortribs and lukewarm potatoes. By then, the two people who had their entrees delivered were finished. The app got fired at that point (server had forgotten to submit it) and arrived after the last two people were finished. So we had cauliflower for dessert, basically, and the item wasn't removed from our check. Nearly $200 later, we decided the Dorian was off the list of SF restaurants we want to support.
