The food was spectacular and such good value for the area!
Without a doubt one of the best Sunday Roasts we’ve had.
The new management was extremely attentive, friendly and accommodating. Myself and my family cannot fault the experience we had here for my brothers birthday
The best Sunday roast I’ve ever eaten.
Lovely experience at The Dog & Badger.
The food was delicious and the service was good. I believe they have mostly been staff so they were still training but still had a great service from the manager training the staff.
First night opening after lockdown . All a bit chaotic - I'm sure it will improve!
Over the last weekend I had an evening dinner and also a Sunday Roast. All I can say is that the quality of the food was amazing and the staff were very helpful and attentive. My only point is that the portions were very large so I could not eat 3 courses and so would have to decide between a starter or dessert with each meal.
Both Ryan and Julie that were serving us were excellent and i would very much recommend this pub.
The meal was lovely but sadly the service was a bit slow and the pub had no on tap bitter and only lager which was a big disappointment.
Very good service, nice atmosphere (perfect combination of character and comfort). Excellent selection of wines. Short and refined menu. Great bar area too.
Really delicious Sunday lunch the Cauliflower cheese was one of the best I've ever had.
We have been coming here for three years and this year on Valentine’s Day, was by far the best visit with you. The welcome, the service, the food, AMAZING! .the young chef Merson is a keeper, absolutely wonderful menu and food. Thank you all so much for a wonderful stay. Julie, Jodie and Maddie, keep doing what you are doing! You are lovely. xx

Took my lovely girlfriend here for valentines, tables were arranged excellent. Food was to die for and the drink wasn’t too bad either haha! Overall great night
Pretty average pub fare. Maybe kitchen trying too hard to be more up market. Scallop starter was ok, went a little OTT for us on the fish based sauce. Main of ribeye was overpriced at nearly £40 each for not huge amount of meat, very triple cooked Chips (almost roast potatoes) and a whole burnt carrot (skin) which i did not understand why it would be served this way.
Great meal and friendly service - unfortunately didn’t get the coffee we asked for but looks like they were low on staff and they got busy
Second Sunday lunch visit in a couple of months and yet again did not disappoint. Beautifully presented and incredibly tasty roast dinner with no need to buy extras as the cauliflower cheese comes as standard and the portion size of exactly what you expect for Sunday lunch...decent! Attentive service, great experience
Some small tweaks could be made to improve, e.g. providing a separate bowl for Olive stones and side plates for sharing starters. Overall, however, the food was executed to a high standard and the staff were attentive and pleasant.
Since this pub/restaurant has changed hands the standards have gone down hill rapidly. most of the original staff have left the menu has changed (not for the better) . Satuday night the room was empty, the food rely poor quality a solid hamburger with chips you could use as nails. The manager was very apologetic and reduced a £70+ ( far to excessive) bill by £7!! I will not be returning
Great place, everyone was really nice and the food was innovative and delicious. The ambience was great combing modern and old features. Highly recommend!
On arrival it looks a lovely place, warm and inviting. But then the small menu arrived which surprised us.the specials were two only and very predicable and typical.we got over that and then the food arrived.fish was overdone and hard and the chips very poor.bulk standard peas didn’t help.
The dessert was almost inedible but at least they had the decency to not charge us for it.
Such a disappointment.the new owners need to pull up their socks big time otherwise this will be another failure,There is so much competition a few miles away that they need a lot more than the decor to be attractive to Thames valley eaters or visitors
We had delicious pork belly today which was on as a special. REALLY good! Deserts were also fab - apple crumble and a white chocolate mousse. So good! Thank you, see you again 😊
We had a delicious lunch in wonderful surroundings. I will certainly go back again.
