The Dog & Badger, a luxurious bar, restaurant and rooms, has undergone an extensive refurbishment and re-opened in 2015 as a free house. Many of the charming original features in this grade II listed building remain but it has also been extended to provide a lighter, more contemporary open space. The newly designed interior offers our guests a light and relaxed environment which can be enjoyed at any time. We are open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our six beautifully appointed en suite bedrooms are situated in the quintessentially English Gillman’s Cottage, adjacent to The Dog & Badger.

Great place for dinner if you want somewhere a little different. Staff are very good and welcoming. Good bar, good food. Car parking is very tight - definitely not for stretched limos or your big 4x4.

Its great that Oakman Inns has taken over the pub. The service is excellent & the food is good unpretentious excellent value food. Ill definitely be coming back

A very nice Sunday Lunch. Excellent friendly service and well presented high quality food make this recently refurbished gastropub well worth a visit. Conveniently located between Henley on Thames and Marlow and close to the River Thames. We have visited before and will come back again.

The good : great greeting, knowledgeable barman, lady who took our order was fantastic, friendly waiter. Flat iron steaks were tender and really tasty. Not so good: service was a bit random, starters did not all come out together, we had to ask several times for the olives we had ordered, water not left on table so we had to keep asking, it all just needed about 20% more thought and attention to detail The bad: we had lovely wine but the prices seemed really high for a gastropub

A warm welcome from all the staff who were discreetly attentive throughout. We had to ask for the set lunch menu rather than it being offered but the food chosen was excellent and well presented and served. I was about to leave a tip at the end only to suddenly see that a service charge had been already added to my bill without any mention. The staff would have done a lot better had I been left to tip!

Lovely to be able to sit outside for a drink before dining in the restaurant. The food was excellent. Unfortunately wasn't very busy so the service was possibly over attentive.

20th June 2017 Most pleasant Friday luncheon with my wife in order to sample prior to having dinner with 2 friends in two weeks time. Everything perfect, my only small criticism the wines were a trifle expensive Russell Bracegirdle

Easy to find with good parking. Very well laid out with great bar area. Delicious set lunch - very well priced and with a variety of choices.

A friendly welcome, professional and attentive service, good menu choices, lovely setting and décor, great food. Really enjoyed. A big plus for us is that they are dog-friendly. Thank you to all the team at The Dog & Badger.
