Maine Lobster Bisque
brioche croutons, chive oil
fantastic service, probably the best we’ve ever had anywhere. menu was limited and they were out of a few things i wanted and not many sweet drink selections, but other than that it was awesome.
I would say get your steak with a topping as they don’t use a lot of seasonings. Don’t recommend the side lobster tail. Baked onion soup was the bomb! Bacon mac & cheese was killer.
The District has never disappointed me or my wife. The steaks are always perfectly prepared and so tender from their aging process. Great location and great ambiance.
My family and I truly enjoyed our meal. Excellent service and good food well prepared. the bread pudding was the best we'd ever had.
Best steaks ever. Great server - Jeff
I treated my boyfriend to a steak dinner for his birthday. Everything was fabulous. Our waiter Mark was excellent. We always enjoy dining at The District.
Excellent food, drink and service.
Great wine list and steaks were amazing
Loved our dinner and the service was amazing, need to visit again. Thank you
I've dined here quite a few times and it's not just because of the food, which is fantastic. The service is excellent and the upstairs lounge is a must for after dinner drinks and or dessert.
Everything was wonderful. Delicious food. Kind and attentive staff. Couldn’t have asked for more.
This was our 2nd time visiting this restaurant. 1st time was such an awesome experience, we raved about it. We decided to come for our anniversary. We were seated @ a table next to the kitchen so we could hear the goings on behind the screen. Ordered the Oysters Rockefeller, not as exceptional as the 1st time, mediocre, at most.
For dinner, we ordered the Chateaubriand again. We were disappointed to see it was cut into thick slices and so rare it was cold to touch in the center! The waiter never asked us how we would like it cooked. So, manager did come by and told us it would be rectified. They came back with the SAME piece, only sliced thinner and looked thrown together on top of mashed potatoes. We didn't want to complain again so decided to go on with our meal. We ordered the District Dome for dessert, which was actually the best part of the meal.
We did get comped for our dessert and wine.
Bar upstairs was lively and had great ambiance and a jazz band which were great!
I'm sure we'll give this one more try at some point, but it may take awhile for the "bad taste" of that Chateaubriand to go away.
Let me start out by saying that this used to be one of my favorite restaurants prior to COVID-19. But, on this visit, it was quite disappointing. The service was really lacking - either because the server was overloaded, or not interested in being there (or both). The Caesar salad was mediocre - wilted lettuce that was too finely chopped to even grab it with a fork - I could have made a better salad at home with just store bought dressing. The steaks were ok, but the texture of one of my filet medallions felt like it was not filet mignon. The waitress did not come by a single time to serve our wine - we had to do it ourselves. Nor did she even ask whether we wanted to take any of our left-over side dishes home. Anyway, I could go on. The whole evening was unfortunately concluded with a rushed visit to the bathroom, and I will leave it at that. I think I am going to wait a year before I go back to this place and hope it improves. It used to be a nice place.
My husband and I have come to the District for special occasions starting with the day we got engaged. Last night was our first wedding anniversary and our experience was just as great as ever. Everything was wonderful from the drinks to the appetizer to our dinner to dessert. We will absolutely be back.
Love this place too much !! The staff makes us fell at home. Sadly tonight My tomahawk steak I have been waiting over a moth was miss cooked . Hope next weekend will be good to go. 🥃🥃
Perfect is all I can say
Ehhh…service, subpar, she couldn’t understand my husband, who is from New Zealand and has lived here nearly 2 decades? We asked about a dish Cajun Corn something? She explained it as “corn and peppers and, not like a chowder but..”, then my husband asked roasted? She said yes. I ordered filet mignon medium, I prefer them cooked longer though. The steak came out and the first cut was well done? Then, the rest of the steak was all over the place, from well to rare. It made no sense? I’ve never been anywhere ONE steak was cooked so many ways? The server was talking to the table 3 over about the corn and told them, “it’s a chowder”…WHAT!!!! Yeah, it’s absolutely a CHOWDER! I called ahead to ask about the dress code, it’s not ANYWHERE? Casual elegant is what I was told, the party ahead of us walked in with T-shirt and shorts on. Maybe this use to be a decent place, but value for money, service, skill, flavor & ambiance stay at home.
Steak was tough, perhaps a chargrill would be better
The food and the service were outstanding! The District never disappoints.
Upon arrival of empty lounge piano player was very loud. As people came in everyone was complaining. You could not carry on a conversation with the rest of your Party. Our Party of six had excellent service however all sides were cold, bisque was extremely salty and two of the five steaks were very tough. Very disappointed.
Excellent food. We had never been here but will surely be back in the future.
Love the staff they always make us feel like we are at home. Foods great as always but it’s hard to get my favorite tomahawk steak at the moment wish it was more readily available or if I could pre-order a few!! I’ll be back weekly my favorite place in pensacola. 🥃🥃
Wonderful service and food quality. Very nice. Felt comfortable throughout our visit.
Had a great meal lived the chopped salad
The appetizers were amazing. We ordered the charcuterie and cheese board and oysters Rockefeller. Our server was awesome he explained what each thing was and what to pair it with. Some of the best prosciutto and salami I have ever had. Next we had the lobster bisque and French onion which were both incredible. For entrees I ordered the Delmonico ribeye which was cooked perfect. When taking a bite though was greeted with absolutely no seasoning. Not a flake of salt. I asked for salt and pepper to try and save it. Another person in the party ordered the pan seared triple tail fish special. It looked pretty but it tasted extremely fishy (I understand it’s fish but it shouldn’t taste like canned tuna smells). For sides we ordered the Mac and cheese, crawfish risotto, and mashed potatoes. The Mac had great flavor but the noodles were over cooked. The risotto was awful. Very starchy, very overcooked, and not very flavorful. The mashed potatoes were pretty good though. For dessert we got the crème brûlée, the sugar was burnt on top and used strawberries and whipped cream to cover it up, and it didn’t crack when broken into with a spoon. The flavor of the crème was good though. Well be back, just not for entrees.
We ordered lobster bisque and it was good. We also ordered a "wedge salad" and asked it we could split it because they are usually so much more than one can eat. The server said it was large enough for 2. When it arrived I thought it had already been split but that was it.....barely enough for 1. My husband had the trio of little filets and they were indeed little. I ordered parmesan encrusted scallops. Both meals arrived not hot....barely lukewarm. My husband was so hungry he quickly ate his. They did handle the situation correctly...removed my meal from the bill and gave me a glass of wine. Everyone was apologetic.
All in all, the ambience was nice and the service was good. The food portions were ridiculously small (except the soup) and management handled the situation graciously. Would we go back? Not sure about that.
Great! Excellent food and service for a birthday dinner!
Great service love the staff . They always no who you are when your a local that comes in regularly. Food’s amazing and the make a great whiskey old fashion!! I’ll be coming back at least once a week. 🥃🥃
Ambiance is not as advertised. Very loud, table settings very close together. If your looking for a romantic dinner….don’t go here. Food lacked taste. Steak had to be sent back because it was completely raw in the middle. When they brought the steak back it was burnt on the edges and they tried to cover that up with LOTS of sauce. Brussel sprout were not cooked all the way and burnt. Crawfish mashed potatoes tasted old and had a seafood taste to it…..no seasoning, definitely needed salt. Parmesan crusted sea scallops were ok, risotto that came with it also had a fishy taste. Not good. Expecting a culinary delight because of the prices on the menu, we were extremely dissatisfied with the food. Service was so so, but I think the waitress was a bit flustered with the amount of tables she had and because she knew we were less than thrilled with the food. The manager did comp our entire meal and apologized profusely. He did give us his card with 2 free dinners next time we come, but that probably won’t happen. Definitely not the fine dining experience we thought we’d be getting for our anniversary dinner.
Food was great and service was beyond our expectations. Took good care of us on a special occasion.
This is my new favorite restaurant in Pensacola. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great!
Our first visit was a very pleasant experience. We started upstairs with drinks before our dinner reservation. Very attentive staff and tasty drinks. Will say though the piano was a bit loud for conversation at our table, pleasant but loud. Down stairs for dining our waiter Mark could not have been more helpful. Lots of excellent suggestions as he guided us through our meal selections. Wonderful food for all at our table. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and she really enjoyed the experience. We will return soon. Thanks for a wonderful evening.
The steak was delicious. Cooked wonderfully and had a great flavor all the way through with a fabulous char. My husband and I split the tomahawk and it did not disappoint. The bourbon whipped sweet potatoes were our favorite side item. Also, the Parmesan truffle fries had a great flavor and were cooked just perfectly.
We had a celebration dinner and it was outstanding. We started with the piano bar and went downstairs for dinner. I highly recommend.
Everything was outstanding !! Gabriel was amazing!! 5 star service!!
Great food and service.
The food and wine were delicious. Our waiter was outstanding. He made sure we had everything we needed and frequently checked in with us, but not in an overwhelming way. His knowledge of the menu and recommendations were greatly appreciated. The price point was exactly what I expected and seemed low compared to the quality of the food. We will definitely eat there again.
Great meal and service once again!
