Came to The District on a locals recommendation and we couldn’t have asked for a better spot! We were celebrating with a special anniversary dinner and enjoyed our time, food and the location. Definitely on the recommendation list
Always fantastic . The Tomahawk wasn’t available, but the menu was full of excellent choices. I like the simplicity of the food. Nice to see a refined service and atmosphere. As a local born at NAS, I am so proud of you for sharing your wonderful establishments. The DOME desert is irresistible.
Great food and service!!
Food was excellent!! Service was excellent!!
The service was beyond compare. Bill was our sever. The steaks are the best in town, but come at a price that is worth it. If your looking for seafood and not steak, I would chose another restaurant.
Great service. However the restaurant was sold out of most of the steaks on the menu. Steaks were average, nothing great and portions were very small.
First time dinner for Anniversary. Service was outstanding; ask for the ‘Goods’. Also, the front room was much quieter and was offered without a request so we could enjoy the meal in a cozy space.
The appetizer, my steak and my wife’s seafood were all very good. The complimentary dessert for our special occasion was lovely.
We will return for the Delmonico Ribeye, when they restock.
Exquisitely done food in an historical setting. Excellent preparation and presentation.
Everything was wonderful!
Had the KC strip and thought it was a little tough. Wife had the swordfish and she loved it. Service and ambiance is top notch.
We celebrated our 55th wedding anniversary there. The ambiance and service was very good and the food was excellent. We had an early reservation and were seated immediately on arrival. We could even have a conversation without yelling across the table. It was a great dining experience, and we would highly recommend this restaurant. The cost was on the upper end, but well worth it. The wine menu was also very good. There are only a few restaurants in the Pensacola area that have this quality of food and service.
overpriced … drinks were subpar and food not worth the price…service was strained…disappointed
Truly good food. Everyone order something different and every single meal and side was delicious. My only complaint is that I live 7 hours away and will know be dreaming of this food until next time. Highly recommend for date night, family get together, special occasion, or just want some really good food!
Very good atmosphere and service. Cesar salad had a lot of stems and not much green to it. Tomahawk stead was cooked very well, but lacked seasoning. Specialty drink was good. I would recommend to friend to try, but limit their expectations. The upstairs lounge area looked neat. Probably go back and try that.
From the second we walked in the hostesses treated us so nicely and were so friendly. Our waiter Jeff was knowledgeable and helpful yet let us enjoy our dinner. The appetizers to the dessert, everything was delicious and we will be back soon!
Excellent food and service! Our family was passing through town and was a underdressed for such a class act place. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and they all made us feel welcome. Will definitely patronize The District again and be dressed for the occasion .
Celebrating a birthday. The service and food were excellent. I find the prices a bit high even for this quality. They did not offer a special dessert for birthday and even a small discount on a dessert for the birthday celebrant would be a nice gesture. Overall a great experience.
It was our first visit. The service was attentive and spot on. The food was delicious although pricey. We were there for a celebration of a mile marker birthday. Should we have another celebration... this will be our first choice.
We arrived about 15 minutes early and was immediately seated. Kayla was our waitress. She is the most professional, sweetest soul ever to wait on us. From the drink order to the complimentary dessert for my wife’s birthday, she was on top of everything. The hostess was super friendly and was happy to take our picture on the stairwell.
Great food, excellent service! Highly recommend it!
Food was very good but there drinks are double the price of all the local restaurants
The oysters were amazing! Perfect place for a special night. The steak was slightly overcooked, but still tasty.
The absolute best dining experience I’ve had in a very long time! Great job to the entire restaurant and especially Steve our waiter.
The ribeye was over cooked , not impressed for my first time here.
Food was outstanding as was the service. We were seated very promptly. We were celebrating my wife's birthday, the complimentary dessert - complete with candle and a Happy Birthday message written in chocolate on the plate was a nice touch! We shall return.
The food was outstanding! I expected a little more attention or personal touch to the fact it was my 50th birthday and the App asked explicitly if it was a special occasion. This was our 1st time dining here and the server was very attentive and ran down the whole menu to us. I wanted to treat myself and got the tomahawk steak. I thought since it was $115 it would be dressed at the table like I had at other restaurants...and since it was $115 aged 45 days...but it was presented to me like a $13.99 steak from Sizzlers...Yet it was cooked to perfection and the Mac n Cheese was delicious plus the truffle fries were amazing. Great meal overall just a little short of a homerun for me.
Staff always amazing upstairs and downstairs.
Our server Mark was excellent.
Best steak in Pensacola
All food received was mouthwatering
Our favorite place to dine.
Gabriel was a wonderful server.
Why do they ask about special occasion if they do nothing. We were there for a birthday and they did nothing. After dinner they suggested we might like to go upstairs for dessert and after dinner drink. I guess they needed our table although 5-6 tables were open. Went upstairs for a drink and no one knew what a brandy Alexander was.
Historical ambience with contemporary simplicity. Sound absorption panels while preserving tin ceiling.
Expansive menu offerings, including wide price range.
Fabulous flavorful food, exceptional service and decent jazz combo in the upper lounge.
The atmosphere is great. The drinks are great. The food is usually good, but not fabulous for the price. Consistently though, the steaks are not good. I can’t figure it out.
Makes a great date night place!
What we did order was very tasty, but I was very disappointed that this steak and seafood restaurant didn’t have seafood! ...other than scallops and Atlantic salmon. There were no gulf fish on the menu, for a high end seafood restaurant on the gulf! That’s what I went for, very odd and disappointing. Maybe drop “seafood” from the name and just say steak house.
The streaks were not done as requested. Mine was near raw in the middle and I asked for MEDIUM. We think it’s not worth the value for the money. After 2 such experiences we shall not return.
From the very moment we entered … the welcome was warm and inviting. We began with cocktails in the upstairs lounge; beautiful craft concoctions served by excellent wait staff in an atmosphere reminiscent of days past … spacious with exposed brick, warm woods … and outdoor French lace visible through the windows. We then proceeding down the staircase to a delightful dining experience which began with shrimp cocktail and fried oysters … each were delectable. For dinner I chose the Scottish Salmon Oscar and my husband had the Steakburger; neither disappointed! Visually appealing and pleasing to the palette, nicely paired with a Pinot Grigio for me and a beer for the hubs. I must note that the service was as outstanding as the food. Our waiter Gabriel tended to each detail, with a hearty side of personality … always most welcome! We finished with an Espresso martini and a key lime parfait; both delightful and delicious. Looking forward to returning … soon and often!
Second time eating at the District. Service was great as usual. The steak was great however the Salmon main course was just okay to my liking. I think the Salmon main dish could have used more seasoning. The sweet potatoes were just bland. The crab cake is too die for but for an appetizer I think it should be at least 2 crab cakes instead of just one. Doesn't leave you any room to share and also not good pricing just for one. Would love to see the crab cakes as a main dish. Would have been nice if I was given the option to change out my asparagus for sautéed spinach. I was told I wasn't able to because the chief wouldn't allow it. The chocolate cheesecake dessert excellent. Overall good experience but need more options being an upscale restaurant.
Over priced and poorly prepared, had to send back beef Bourgogne bc it was like canned beef stew. Covid is not an excuse not to serve bread anymore. Steak was exceptionally mediocre.
Outstanding dinner experience! Superior Service ! One of my favorite restaurants.
