I wanted to try it out since the hype was so good! It was my birthday and wanted to celebrate. Especially since it's my first birthday after kicking cancers butt!! I made the reservation where it asks if you are celebrating and I said yes for my birthday, yet nothing was mentioned about it being my birthday and no dessert. Which isn't the end of the world. but most every place offers something! I'm not old but it was so loud in the place that we decided to get dessert else where so I could hear the group I was with! We joked about my needing hearing aids since I'm old now LOL I'm 43! The steak was good, but for the price It was a little meh! I love to grill on my green egg and felt I have cooked a better steak at home... positive..the staff was fantastic and service was exceptional. Probs won't ever go back, but I'm glad I gave it a go.

Our waiter was terrific - very attentive. I ordered steak medallions. The first two were tender and very tasty, but the third one was grisly to the point of not being edible. I was so disappointed.

Matthew is an amazing manager and has done a great job turning this place around. We love coming here and we always feel welcome. The food was very good. I highly recommend The bone in filet. 🥃🥃

The District is always a great experience. Our server had the perfect balance of attentiveness without being too disruptive. Some had steaks, some fish. I was the only one who thought my steak could've been a bit more tender. Was more medium than medium rare. We've eaten there several times and the meats have always been mouthwatering seasoned and tender. However, that did not keep me from enjoying it. Everyone else raved theirs was perfect. Our go to place for a great dining experience.

The salmon dish was very good, the steak was not good at all. The steak cut was full of gristle, the waitress replaced it and the 2nd order was not cooked correctly and had to be sent back to cook further. Expected better from a "steakhouse". The Mac and cheese was delicious.

i thought the appetizers were less than tasty. cheese board was a bust (poor selection of cheeses, meats were huge in comparison to size of cheese) terrible crackers. the calamari was tasteless with sauce over and under, and the shrimp salad was questionable. On the bright side all the steaks were good to excellent, but again the sides were so so. complaint is that there wasn't any bread to go with my steak. i love to eat bread with steak so that I can lap up all the steaks beautiful juices. All in all it was a very disappointing eating experience. will not make a return visit. the ambiance left a lot to be desired as well. Very light and uninteresting. Jackson's has it over the District for me.

Very sadly I found the steak to be exceptionally average. Flavor was lacking for a prime cut of beef and the flash fried lobster tail was so small. The smashed new potatoes with garlic had entirely too much garlic and were still al dente; which is not desired for potatoes. $65 was too much to pay for a subpar dinner.

Enjoyed Mother's Day lunch at the District. The entertainment, John Wheeler, was very good, the food was very good, and the service was very good. Was disappointed at first when with reservation we were seated upstairs but that proved to be great. Overall 5 star meal.

The District is a beautiful restaurant, but the noise level is unbearably loud. The food and service are excellent, but my group, once again, struggled to hear the conversation at our table due to how loud the room and nearby guests were. We did not order dessert so that we could escape the noise. I know some local restaurants have installed sound buffers to address this problem. I hope this restaurant can find a way to offer guests a quieter setting that better matches an upscale dining experience.

From the minute we arrived the staff was very friendly and our server Madison was the best. Very attentive and left no detail behind. Madison greeted us with a complementary glass of champagne for our anniversary! The oysters Rockefeller were to die for! Our main dishes were fabulous ( I had the salmon and hubby had the beef trio). For dessert they once again came up with a surprise for us! The chocolate brownie with ice cream and chocolate syrup on the side! What a beautiful dinner experience! We will definitely be back soon!

The ambiance is lovely at the District. We began our evening upstairs in the lounge. The pianist was very talented. Around 7:30 on a Friday there were about 6 couple in the place. The service was slow but friendly. The cocktails were decent. Our reservation downstairs was at 7:45 and they texted to let me know it was ready. We were greeted and seated promptly. The atmosphere was pleasant and upscale. The food was very pricey and it was only fair. I ordered the scallops and they were barely room temp. My husband said the steak was just ok. Our bill with tip came out to $170 for the two of us…for that I would prefer to go to Iron or Global. We will return for the ambiance upstairs but our next nice meal will be elsewhere.

Very good, balanced menu, good wine list at lower than expected prices. Excellent service. Filet done medium rare, among the best I've had in a restaurant. Hand cut fries, large & crispy, very good.
