This was our first visit ever and it was nothing short of phenomenal. Our service was amazing, the cocktails were on point and our waiter was super sweet and very attentive. Absolutely fantastic recommendations from the menu. Everything came out quickly and cooked to perfection. The steaks just melted in our mouths! The side dishes were more than plentiful and delicious! And we were surprised with the cutest little dessert plate for our anniversary celebration. By far the best service and meal we have had in a long time! We will be back again and again! Thank you for a wonderful 20th Anniversary celebration!
Really liked the upstairs lounge. I bought the dry aged tomahawk ribeye and was very disappointed. The yukon mashed potatoes were good, but my wife's loaded baked potatoe was sub par.
I took my girlfriend here for her birthday, we both absolutely loved it. The food was off the charts delicious. We had the rib-eye for two, an experience I will not soon forget
Victoria, our server, was knowledgeable and professional. Meal was top notch. In these challenging times, The District has prevailed. Top personnel, great management, awesome atmosphere. Thank You Victoria
We really wanted a nice , upscale experience after so much time at the beach and "beach dining" ( which I do love, but sometimes you want to dress up and do a special occasion ) -this place does not disappoint and I am very happy it seems they are trying to keep it nice while many places are seeming to give that up-our server was attentive and friendly and knowledgeable , and the food was delicious-we look forward to returning-
Absolutely phenomenal meal tonight!
Awesome food and great service
Everything was good, but out of most appetizers.
Every once in a while you need to treat yourself. This is a great place to do just that. This dinning experience has broken into my top 3 all time. The steak was on par with Magnum's of Chicago and the service was perfect.
Pensacola's finest restaurant.
Excellent experience!!!! The food is great.
Great service and delicious food. It’s hard to choose; come hungry!
As a chef I was very disappointed in my meal. My husband’s salmon was burned on the plated side, filet medallions all I could taste was chard meat. The oysters Rockefeller were very good, as were the rosemary truffle fries. Overpriced for what we received. This will not my “go to” for steak. Sorry The District you feel short of the mark.
I really use to like the restaurant but the food was not good at all this time. The beef medallions were flat and small and the sauces were not as good and tasty as before. Disappointed for the value you paid. Service was very good though.
We came for our friends bachelorette and really enjoyed it! Everyone’s food was delicious, the cocktails were great and the ambience was perfect for a sophisticated, delicious dinner. We then walked over to Seville Quarter right across the street for the perfect way to end the night!
We celebrated our anniversary and everything was wonderful. Bill especially was an amazing server and we can’t wait to go back!
Wonderful experience. Food was absolutely delicious, service was amazing. No bad things to say.
A flare of elegance, yet comfortable. Our waitress was very friendly but she was very classy. We enjoyed the scallop appetizer, the beet salad and the swordfish special. Scallops and swordfish can both tend to be. overcooked… ours were to perfection❣️❣️❣️❣️ Highly, recommend The District and by the way I am a foodie🥰. Afterwards, we retreated to the upstairs lounge and enjoying a class of wine from their great selection and relaxed. John Ripley, an amazingly talented pianist entertained us as we enjoyed our night socially with friends🥂🍾. A toast to a fabulous night at The District💕
Our waiter Alan was wonderful and dinner was amazing!
Christine was phenomenal!!! The best service I’ve experienced in my life. She was knowledgeable on the history of the restaurant and knew everything about the menu down to a science. She explained everything so well. Definitely made the night much better.
While the food and drinks were delicious the waitress did not even know the menu. You could tell she was aggravated with our questions. When I am spending this kind of money I expect my server to know the menu. There were other mistakes made by our server but I won’t mention them here.
Scallop appetizer was great. Very unique to any scallops I have had before. Great personal service with very nice atmosphere. We had steaks and they were perfect temperature. Sides were very good - mushrooms and Brussels sprouts.
We will return in the future.
The food was delicious with new craft cocktails added to the menu. The service was gracious and felt very personal. It was a wonderful birthday experience.
The restaurant is located in a very beautiful, historical part of town. We arrived late - as a result most likely they were out of asparagus.
Ordered French onion soup, had to wait over 10 minutes for a spoon, unable to flag anyone down.
It was very noisy. There was another table across the room that was extremely noisy, unfortunately the acoustics did not absorb any of their noise.
Waitress was very nice.
Steak was cooked perfectly.
The customer service was great, but the food was not good at all. I was really hoping that this was Pensacola new stake house. If the food doesn’t get better, I don’t see many people returning to this restaurant.
My husband and I had a lovely date night for my birthday. The District is top notch! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I loved the atmosphere, it made me feel like I was in a fine dining restaurant in NYC and not Pensacola. Everything from the decor, ambiance, staff and food was just divine! I will definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone!
Pensacola is a small community so our fine dining is not of the caliber of larger communities. I've gotten use to it. The District blew me away. It was fine dining. Our server Hope was welcoming, informative, and attentive. Eats were excellent. The bread pudding includes ice cream but we wanted it to go. I asked Hope if she could ask chef to whip up a sauce to accompany.
Yep, Chef whipped us up a tasty praline sauce. Fine Dining indeed.
The food and service was excellent. I recommend this to anyone looking fora great dining experience.
Always delicious and delightful!
My waiter Ralph was absolutely the best. The Crawfish Risotto, Crabcake and sweet potatoes was hands down the best. The District was the best choice for my wife and I to celebrate out Anniversary
Nice restaurant and the food was outstanding. You get what you pay for.
Lovely atmosphere, wonderful food and curtious service
Delicious food and service. Great way to spend a birthday!
Our server did not write down our order and forgot our appetizer. When we asked about it she apologized and said she'd get it out to us in a few minutes. My wife had salmon that had so much salt that it was all she could taste. My swordfish had a peppercorn sauce that was so heavy on the peppercorn that it burned my tongue. When we explained our issue to the server she said that she could have them remake the salmon without salt but that my swordfish has a peppercorn sauce so it's going to have pepper in the taste. I didn't appreciate the connotation that I didn't know that there was a pepper sauce and elaborated that I like pepper just not when it burns my tongue. Our entrees were taken back and a few minutes later our forgotten appetizer arrives. These steak skewers were very charred. I tried one piece of the meat and all I could taste was the carbonization which seemed odd for a place that advertises as a steak and seafood house. Almost as soon as the appetizer came out our new mains also arrived via the manager who apologized and advised he was not notified one of our courses was forgotten or he would have paced everything out so it didn't arrive all at once. These new mains were acceptable but nothing to write home about. We were then visited by another individual who didn't identify himself but told us that he was sorry about everything and that he was comping the majority of our meal. At this point we figured in for a penny in for a pound so we ordered their signature chocolate dome with raspberry sauce. Our server brought it out, poured the sauce on the dome and nothing happened. I don't know if the sauce wasn't hot enough or the chocolate shell too thick but there was no grand reveal to be had. Fortunately it still tasted good. After all was said and done, basically our entire meal was comped and the staff seemed apologetic that we had a negative experience which I am appreciative for, but it will probably be some time before we try The District again.
Beautiful restaurant for dining. Service was excellent, Caesar salads delicious, steaks cooked to perfection!! Nice wine list!! The only criticism would be to update prices on internet as steaks were $10 more as of today’s date . We still love The District, best steaks in town!!!
Exceptional service and food
Overall excellent experience. Steak was very good but wasn’t a wow. Loved the lounge area and is a great place to hang out before your table is ready. Strongly recommend the crab cake….almost all crab, very well done.
My family went to the District for my father’s birthday dinner. Everything was fantastic. We ordered several appetizers- the calamari and oysters Rockefeller were amazing. Everyone ordered steaks for dinner, which were all very high quality and cooked to perfection. We ordered a few of the sides which were great to share with the table. The crawfish risotto is a must order for sure. My father even got a free dessert for his birthday. We will be back when we’re in the area for sure.
The lobster bisque was nothing more than seasoned tomato soup. there were not lobster bits nor the flavor/texture typical of a good lobster bisque.
The salmon entrée had an acceptable cook, but under seasoned. Hardly anything spectacular.
The boef bourguignon was equivalent to a serving of cheap beef vegetable soup.
The desserts were too sugary, by far, too sweet for our palates.
Very disappointing and far below the standard we are accustomed to the fine dining we have experienced in the past at The District.
We had the Oyster's Rockefeller for an appetizer, and they were very good. I asked for the sword fish special, $39.00 was told I could not substitute the potatoes (ok) but was also told that I could not add the $15.00 Oscar for it. Why? the waiter said it would change the taste, I asked for it on the side he still refused to let me purchase it. The fish was small but thick and way under cooked. The pepper sauce was so strong even scaping it off made it taste bad and the grill marks were burnt- and burnt tasting. I don't eat steak, so if you are not a steak eater, do not waste your time or money. My husband got the Delmonico which he loved. Also he loved the mac-n-cheese. The bread pudding was ok, and the dome chocolate cheese cake was a mix review. The cheese cake and raspberry sorbet was very delicious. The choc. dome was ok, not sweet but the raspberry sauce was super sweet, a little too much for me. But again, the cheesecake was great! I would recommend The District only if you are a steak eater. Very noisy so not romantic at all.
