Skip the lamb chops. I was seriously disappointed in the amount of gristle and fat. Three very inferior cuts. Sides were spectacular. Broccolini and mashed potatoes excellent.
We decided to go to District for Thanksgiving dinner and it did not disappoint. Jade, who was our server, Was a great addition. She was very knowledgeable on the menu and wines. We have been to District several times before and I’ve always had consistently great service and food.
Can be summed up in one word - Amazing. A perfect Thanksgiving meal in a beautiful setting, with great food, and impeccable service. The servings were very generous. Jamal was knowledgeable about the menu, offered suggestions, and checked on us often enough that we wanted for nothing, but was not intrusive. Oh, the French Onion Soup was the best ever! And the pecan pie was heavenly. We will go back to have a steak dinner. The only thing was disappointing - when we made reservations, it was noted that gentlemen would need a jacket. When we got there, that was obviously not the case. People were dressed in jeans and casual shirts. Wish the dress code had been enforced - would have made it more special, especially on Thanksgiving Day.
Appetizers and Steaks were great, excellent service
Everything was excellent, but we particularly suggest the tomahawk steak.
Thanksgiving dinner and it was outstanding!
Best steak I ever had although I've never had a 120 day dry aged anything.
Various steaks, all excellent. The very best lobster bisque anywhere.
We visited for our anniversary and our server was wonderful. He was extremely personable and friend. He was very efficient and even treated us to a delicious dessert to celebrate our day! Thank you
Great steakhouse. The wine is exceptional. We had the twilight delight offer and really enjoyed everything. The desert was not to our tasting, but we are not big desert fans anyway.
Great date night, great service. Will was great!
The District joins the list of top-tier restaurants in Pensacola. The combination of 100+ year old architectural features and subtle modern touches creates an elegance that is not stuffy. The service was impeccable; the server was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and attentive, without being cloying. The timing of the courses was perfect.
The food was amongst the finest that I have had anywhere in Pensacola. I started with the lobster bisque; I've not had better anywhere. My wife said the the French onion soup was also excellent. We shared the Chateaubriand for two. The 16 oz. of beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly, was tender and flavorful. The sides of grilled asparagus, tomato and whipped Yukon gold potatoes were the perfect accompaniment. As it was our anniversary, they brought out a complementary dessert; a chocolate roll cake with chocolate ganache, raspberry coulis, fresh raspberries, and whipped cream.
From the artisanal rolls that they brought to the table when we were seated to the last drop of coulis, I could find not a single misstep in the entire meal.
This is one of our go to places. We absolutely love all of the food that we get from here. The staff is very friendly. Food is very reasonable for the quality you receive.
The drinks and dessert were wonderful. Excellent even. The steak wasn't bad, but it wasn't so incredibly good that I can mark it as outstanding. It was pretty good. A little dry. I think the creamed spinach was decent. Raymond, the server, did an excellent job. He was first class. If I go back, I will make a different steak selection. I don't want to offend the chef at all, but the steak was less memorable than it should have been.
The chef and staff were wonderful despite the short notice. They were able to accommodate my son's food allergies, which are considerable. And, all the food came out fantastic.
Thank you for letting us help you celebrate. When notified about allergies our Chef and the kitchen team take it very seriously.
Best steak in town by far
It was our first visit. The hostess was very pleasant and our server, Trinity, was great!
Staff, service and food were phenomenal. Great first time experience, will be back for more plus dessert next time!
Mitchell was an amazing server. Our meal was outstanding as always.
Fourth dining experience and have never been disappointed. Looking forward to next time.
Thank you so very much for your continued support....and enjoyment.
I travel to a different city every week for work across the county, and I will say The District makes some of the best steaks I have ever tasted. I also liked that it is right across from the Seville Quarters, which I could go to several different venues afterwards. The staff was very attentive and informative.
Thank you for your comments....and yes our relationship with Seville is great! Did you know if you have dinner with us, your admission into Seville is complimentary. Just ask the host, she will take care of you.
Nice place for a good steak. We tried the red wine our waiter recommended and it exceeded our expectations by far.
We four ladies celebrated all of our birthdays at The District. We all enjoyed the Twilight meal and loved it. Everything was delicious. The staff was excellent and the atmosphere was wonderful.
Service was ok just not great. Food was great cocktails way to expensive and definitely not amazing
Food was very good, but pricey. Service was sub par for the style of establishment. Teach your staff to smile. You should also consider team service at your price level. The single server approach is fine at Applebee’s, but it shouldn’t be the same at District.
Raymond, our server, was great. Very professional and attentive.
I do wish that The District would add a 6oz Filet to the menu. Thanks.
Don’t waste your time or money...let me tell you why. We love our before dinner martini...and how well they are done speaks volumes of your experience to come. First...and this drives me crazy...the Martin glass was half full. Where is the other half of my drink? Next they put some other liquor than I had requested. Unacceptable!
We requested our check...with the incorrect drink removed and left. There is another steakhouse around the corner who doesn’t make such mistakes.
The service was excellent we shared a Caesar salad, my husband had shrimp cocktail. They were huge shrimp. I had tuna tataki Unfortunately it had way too much hot sauce on it renderings it inedible The fried oysters were great. Birthday cake was very nice. Waiter took tuna off our check without asking
The steaks looked amazing. We need to return
Very lovely restaurant. Knowledgeable server William and delicious steaks made the evening very enjoyable.
What an incredible team they have working. They made every aspect of our meal amazing.
Our food was delicious and we had excellent service. We didn’t like being seated next to other patrons and their tables in the booths. It made conversation very hard. It was my husband’s 65th birthday. It was very hard to get in and out of the booth due to other patrons and the tables being so close together. Listening to other people’s conversations and vice versa was not what we were hoping for.
The steak was mediocre. I will say the risotto was very good. The wine list was decent. I would probably not go out of my way to return.
We were first timers.... We loved the building, the lighting and most of all our server Lucas! He was simply awesome. Friendly, knowledgeable, kinda cute, but most of all very attentive! I'm not gonna lie, it's a bit pricey, but sometimes you pay for the ambiance!!!! We are from Philadelphia, Steakhouses are are a dime a dozen and we are used to the prices. I never ever thought Pensacola could sustain a restaurant with Philly/New York prices, but I just might be wrong! Come try it out!!!! This is all from a Philly resident, who is about a 7 time a year Pensacola Resident! Great job!
Wonderful dinner in historic Pensacola Florida! Tuesday night had us missing ther hustle bustle of the weekend.... Loved the prime minister old fashion as well.
Everything and everyone from the time we walked in was excellent. Our Waiter went above and beyond to make our night very enjoyable.
Wonderful experience. Food was fabulous.
We had an amazing dinner at The District. We will definitely dine here in the future.
Fresh tasty food, the best restaurant in Pensacola. Always great service, knowledgeable, friendly staff and delicious cocktails. The upstairs area is a great place to have a drink and appetizer as well.
We were a party of six and had a lovely 2 hour dinner. The filet topped with blue cheese was great, and the lamb appetizer was delicious. Most at the table enjoyed fabulous french onion soup; one loved his lobster bisque. We had great asparagus and creamed spinach sides. The risotto was too salty for us. The evening was topped off by going upstairs for a nightcap and listening to a pianist (John Ripley), accompanied by a saxophonist. Definitely recommend The District. Their oysters rockefeller are good too. I'm also a fan of their trio of steaks. At lunch, I always order their incredible salad with salmon (and you get a free glass of wine!).
1600 degree oven = great steaks
Super staff, happy and willing to please
We love the bistro room best, but dining room is great also
You'll have a happy dining experience
