The waitress/waiter asked for tips rather than letting customer entering tips on keypad. Which is a bit different to what restaurants usually does.
Having said that, the other service and the food quality is exceptionally good.
Brilliant. Awesome atmosphere, creative food and wonderful service. Thank you for a great night.
Dear Katrina, Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your effort in sharing with us your recent experience. We are so glad to hear of your fantastic dinner and look forward to welcoming you back again. Best regards, Ashish Chaudhry Assistant Director of Food and Beverage
Welcome was good at front door and escorted to restaurant. We were seated issued menus with no explanation as to content.
Drink order taken. I ordered a lemon lime & bitters. Batman did not know how to make. Put full nip of bitters in and used sod’s water as top up. Was too strong and taste was not as should be. I drank a bit and topped up with tap water to reduce strength.
Entrees were nice, sirloin had a little too much fat/gristle for my taste.
Never saw a waiter again until we had finished desert. No follow up checks on food or drinks. Tried to get attention of wait staff to order another drink but gave up.
Paid our bill and left.. not a night I had thought I would experience from a high value hotel and restaurant

Beautifully appointed table by the window. . Food was casually elegant and the staff were attentive without being intrusive
Food portions were quite small
Great location service and ambiance
But would expect better quality servings from a five star hotel

Good food, great service and variety of dishes on the menu. Loved everything.
Booked two weeks beforehand for a special wedding Anniversary and travelled two hours to get there. Our allocated table was dreadful. Located behind a sink and bench with views completely obstructed by empty wine bottles and dirty plates and used napkins placed on this dirty sink area we faced. Absolutely shocking for this standard of restaurant. So disappointing. Service was dreadful. Two waitresses asked us on separate occasions over a 15 minute period if we'd like a glass of water on arrival. Yes please. We waited and waited. Neither returned with water. Basic service appallingly lacking. Meal was very average. I sent back my inedible entree and explained the problem and was not offered any alternative. Not even an acknowledgement. Main meal average to ok with French fries resembling a fast food chain. The most disappointing experience ever.
Dear DonSheB, Thank you for your feedback. It is disappointing to hear of the shortfalls from your recent celebration visit. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in the restaurant had an outstanding night.
Poor service,order was forgotten.
Food portion small
For a 5* hotel dining was a complete let down , if it wasn’t for the view we would have left.
nice view, service was slow in the beginning, but overall the service is good , food is beautiful

Service was good everyone was really nice but food was very poor I think you guys need to switch back to the ok’d menu you guys had before because the food was very very poor
The food was mediocre, very disappointed especially for such a special occasion.
my initial main course was lamb and it was bland and had to be exchanged for sword fish which was okay
would not go back for food again
Environment and services are extremely nice. Foods are 4.5/5 - rock oyster was bit bitter but overall all dishes and wine are very good. Good for special occasion.
Excellent price point for a 3 course lunch per person. Fantastic experience from start to finish. Food is delicious, can't beat that beautiful harbour view. Service is impeccable.
Highly recommended.
Was not happy with the mains (steaks) that we ordered. Told the staff and they did nothing to accommodate. My wife and I felt treated like a number. Was extremely disappointed and was way below my expectations of a quality restaurant and we both left disappointed on our 17th wedding anniversary.
Great Ambience, Excellent Service and tasty food. Had a great experience....The staff made us so comfortable ....
Had a wonderful evening, great food, great service & view
Service was very slow. Meals took ages to arrive. Oysters were incredibly small and undesirable in taste. The main pork dish was served without sauce and extremely dry, uneatable. Chicken main was dry. Overpriced and a terrible experience. Won’t be going here again.
The place is really nice as it has a great view of the Sydney Opera house. Classy and cozy. Food not that impressive needs to add some savoury.
The Dining Room experience for us was disappointing. We had eaten at the Dining Room a number of times before and throughly enjoyed the food, but not this time. Menu was limited with just 5 items for entree, 5 for main and 4/5 for dessert. It cost $70 pp for 2 courses and $80pp for 3 courses. Our original table was in the middle of the room very close to a big table of 6 men - so close that my chair was touching the man behind me. No social distancing in that spot. When the table next door became vacant I asked to move - much better.
I had the oysters ( not chilled) and then the vegetarian option of the eggplant with courgette puff and whipped ricotta - not a lot of flavour in this dish. My husband had the beef tartare (tasty and quite big ) and the sirloin which came with an oily potato gratin, a small dollop of burnt pear purée and a couple of spots of oyster cream. We ordered a side of fries which was the tastiest part of the meal. We would not book the Dining Room again if the menu was similar. Not good value for money, with ordinary flavours and presentation.
The food was lovely and the serving sizes were appropriate; it was worth the extra money to sit by the windows as the view is incredible. Definitely recommended.
Great experience! Thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks! Would come again!

Food was fantastic. The bread is out of this world. Service was 1st class
Celebrating our daughters 40th birthday at the Park Hyatt was very special, the family thoroughly enjoyed themselves
Food is really good, however a bit of more choices would be welcomed.
The ambience and the views are fantastic. We really enjoy the lunch and we would use any further opportunity to come back.
Great restaurant with great service and food. How this isn’t hatted is beyond me.
A great lunch with a fantastic view at a very sensible price
Never disappointed at Park Hyatt. Destination for my important occasions.
The location is amazing
The food leaves a lot to be desired. They offer a set menu for $70 2 courses or 3 courses for $80
Firstly it was our wedding anniversary and I notified them when we booked, the Maître de acknowledged this and congratulated us, then proceeded to seat us sharing a bench within hearing distance of another couple when there was plenty of tables free which were for 2 and a lot more private. I had to ask for another table, she had to check and we were given another table. Then we ordered drinks which never arrived, they brought bread and she started setting up for entree with no drinks yet so I had to say I don’t want entree until you bring the drinks
The bread was yummy, the oysters were nice ( their elderberry etc) was not great combo - so natural oysters you can’t get too wrong. Then the main came which was “grilled swordfish” there was nothing grilled about this, it was basically nori/ seaweed filled with broiled fish and the accompaniments did nothing for the meal - blurgh I couldn’t even finish it. Luckily we ordered some paprika fries. Then the dessert - we had someone bring us two slices of thin crispy pastry sitting on top of some crumb with cream in centre. It also came with a happy anniversary sign. I was confused whether this was a token gesture from the restaurant or the dessert we had ordered! Honestly the view is amazing but it is equally amazing from lots of other eateries along this strip - the fact that they want you to pay for a set menu means you are paying $200 odd dollars for a view and a nice table if you’re lucky enough to get one. Very disappointing for what was supposed to be a special occasion
The Dining Room is one of my favourite Harbourside restaurants in Sydney. It offers value for money, and the service is second to none. The only downside, which is due to Covid-19, was the much limited menu, which was not up to the standard we normally experience. The menu would have to improve substantially for me to return in the near future. However, I understand the difficult times the hospitality industry is experiencing at this time. Lets hope life returns to what we experienced pre-covid real soon. But of course, the wait staff and their friendly and personable service was excellent, and appreciated.
Superb, discreet service. A lovely Valentines Day menu and careful managing of a cheese allergy. Thank you.
I had booked the reservation as soon as the tables became available during the Valentine's day sessions. And requested the view closest to the window and was sat almost to the back of the restraunt. Had to request seating somewhere else before they allocated us slightly closer to the window. The team that had brought the food out were extremely helpful and carrying.
Service was very good and attentive. Quality of the dishes was pretty good, I’d have them again but wasn’t blown away. Multiple complementary courses were served, can only assume the kitchen was having a bit of a meltdown.
Delicious and sophisticated 3 course meal and a reasonable price, especially for the location overlooking the water and opera house. Terrific service. Only thing is that the drinks at fairly pricey although very good quality.
It was delightful food with amazing service and a gorgeous view.
Varied and enticing menu. Great service, good value with the 3 course package.
Such a great experience! The food was amazing and wait staff were very friendly. Did take quite some time for our food to initially come after getting our drinks, but other than that no faults. Will definitely be going back!!
Great meal and fantastic service
Absolutely beautiful dinner and wonderful location
