Located within easy reach of Royal Tunbridge Wells, just outside of Uckfield, The Dining Room is part of the grand 18th century Palladian Buxted Park Hotel yet offers its own special brand of uber-modern styling and creative food. Serving throughout the day, The Dining Room offers breakfast in delectable style before moving on to lunches suited to business or pleasure and dinners with a romantic, intimate flavour. Whilst celebrating a friends birthday, we opted for the Buxted Park for lunch. What a gem, this charming establishment has to offer. The private dining was fabulous and the atmosphere and service were first class and as for the food and vast wine list, simply stunning. All made for a fabulous occasion. Happy to recommend and we will definitely be returning!

Very average food for set lunch - it just seemed to be roasts and a choice of fish. Not much atmosphere and I hate restaurants that seat all the diners close together when the restaurant is relatively empty.

Went for a wedding anniversary lunch and had a brilliant time. From stepping foot in the hotel, the staff were amazing, especially the general manager who has a second career as the next Bond I am sure. Great venue, fantastic food, amazingly friendly and genuinely helpful staff. Great value and wonderful to end the meal sipping wine in front of a roaring fire. Thanks for a relaxing, unrushed afternoon in a beautiful venue, we will be back!

Wow. What a fantastic and memorable evening. We celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary and chose to stay local rather than travel into London, which is our usual venue for celebrating. We were so pleased with the decision. The food was outstanding and the service matched. We were welcomed and seated in the bar and attended too by very friendly and professional staff. We ordered from the bar before being ushered to our table in the dining room. The table was enclosed with a circular high back seat which provided a truly romantic and intimate experience. The waiter and the manager were very attentive, but not at all intrusive. The food was amazing arriving in generous portions. We were very well looked after and will definitely book again!

buxted park hotel,buxted,a lovely lunch and extremely good value for the special offer price!! in fact would have been happy to pay the full lunch price for the food we had,All beautifully served by attentive staff in lovely surroundings.obviously this hotel is under re furbishment,the main dining room and bar have been tastefully done my only complaint was that the dining room is in the middle of the hotel with no view and the gardens are lovely and it would have been nice to look out

We met some friends at Buxted Park Hotel where we were having lunch in The Dining Room. The restaurant is inthe middle of the hotel so there are none of the beautiful East Sussex views but the food more than made up for this. We ate suserb duck liver pate followed by chickken in a delicious sauce and an amazing lemon pie.

The Dining Room @ Buxted Park Hotel: I went for the Sussex menu and the wife went for the Buxted menu. My starter of lobster and john dory was tasty but not exceptional. My wife had a smoked chicken terrine with fois gras which she was very happy with. The rack of lamb was exceptional and the wife's steak was beautifully cooked also. The desserts were good. We had a half bottle of wine (driving!) and our waiter didn't refill our glasses which was disappointing. We'd go again though.

We had a lovely time in the Dining Room in the Buxted Park Hotel. Every waiter was really kind. First we sat down in the bar, to drink a refreshing cocktail, and we got some special snacks to accompany our drinks. We tried the three curse Buxted menu, every dish was really nice, only the best ingredients used. Everyone got a special appetizer, mushrooms, with cream and tarragon jelly complementary freshly made rolls and butter. We really recommend the place for special occasions,

We have dined at the Buxted Park Hotel before but this is our first booking there through Top Table. We dined off the Sussex Menu at 3 courses for £32. This more than doubles per head with drinks and service but made for an excellent evening. The ambiance is gentle and elegant and all the menu items served to us were very good. We will return adn our guests on their first visit were impressed.
