We were on the first level. Food was good with big potions. Server could have been friendlier. Like the fact that we could see and interact with the outside but sad our backs were to it. Overall not bad.

There is absolutely nothing remarkable about The Diner when it comes to food quality or service. That said, it’s a cool location and generally unique experience. The restaurant and bars are location vertically across 6 floors in the corner of a tall downtown building.

It is rare for me to not recommend a restaurant where I have dined. Neither my husband nor I can recommend The Diner. The server was nice, but there were lengthy periods when she was not around. The food (Pot Roast and Chicken Tenders) was average. It was a nice touch that the windows were open to the outdoors, but there was a downside. Now and then, groups traveling the streets of Nashville passed the restaurant, and they could be described as exuberant - or rowdy. Dining at The Diner may be enjoyable for some, but it was disappointing for us.

Excellent menu variety, prompt friendly service. Drink menu innovative with a variety of unique cocktail offerings. Eggs are a relatively safe bet when ordering breakfast but the Egg Scrambler here were the most delicious I have ever enjoyed at home or dining out. My husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy the biscuits were obviously made fresh and looked extremely fluffy.

Food was better than average. Stick to pre-made drinks: beer, wine, seltzer. The view from floors 4, 5, & 6 are what this place is all about!! Unfortunately, our server was less than attentive. Otherwise a good experience.

Was expecting a better experience. My glass of nice red wine was too hot. It should have been chilled to about 65 degrees, but tasted even warmer than room temp, like it had been stored in the hot kitchen or something. The quality of the food was good. However, although the fish on my entre was hot the sides were not. I probably would have sent it back, but our waiter took too long to check on us and I didn't want to cause a disruption for my wife's 65 birthday. They originally wanted to seat us in a very busy area where the staff was going in and out of a room, plus it near the busy entrance as well. They did move us to another table, but for my wife's 65th birthday the original table was not acceptable. Our waiter rarely stopped to check on us and when he did, he was basically just walking by on his way to another table and never really took the time to come to a full stop and give us his full attention. For my wife's 65th birthday, which I stated in the reservation, I was expecting a much better experience.

We enjoyed The Diner. My wife had the pot roast. I had the chicken parmigiana. Both were delicious. Our drinks were also good. The place had a nice ambiance. We enjoyed a great view of downtown and the Broadway area at our table by an open window. A good experience. I definitely recommend.

Food was mediocre. Mahi was overcooked and the cheeseburger was just ok. Service was also just ok. Asked for water refills, never got it. Nothing terrible, but like many places in that area, it was just ok.

We made reservations and that gave us a table on the 5th floor. Many of the breakfast items stipulate no modifications which allows the food to come out very quick. I had the California Breakfast Sandwich and the avocado was more of a smear and I would have preferred more. The sandwich was missing a sauce and so it seemed rather bland and basic. My husband got the Waffle Sliders and really enjoyed that. The strawberry mimosas are on the sweet side. The location is great and close to the river.

The best place for breakfast, lunch and dinner in Nashville. Each floor was beautiful and a different vibe for everyone. Staff were all very nice. Food was great and drinks were amazing. There’s a parking lot close, 2 minute walk.

The cast iron chicken pie was made with canned vegetables and had very little chicken. Our server never asked if we had everything we needed (we didn’t), nor did he ask if we enjoyed the meal. Food was sub-par and service was utterly lacking. A poor value.

We were seated on the 5th floor, close to a Bachelorette Party! There were 10 girls having a really good time, so when we asked to be moved because of the noise level, they accommodated us very quickly and took care of our drinks! Our server was awesome, our food was hot and delicious! We had Shrimp & Grits, Rattlesnake Pasta, and the Pot Roast. It's a nice place off Lower Broadway, away from the noise, w/decent prices, good food and we had a great experience!

This was not a good experience for us. First of all the menu prices online were not current. The service was marginal at best, the food was overpriced and the Mahi was over cooked, not to mention the atmosphere was more like a school cafeteria.
