A little overpriced for lunch. I had the chicken wrap, which was ample in lettuce, but lacked chicken. The sever also mixed up our checks and charged the wrong meal to my card but could not provide me a receipt for the credit. I’ll have to check with my credit card company.
Food was good. Service was a little slow, especially on drink refills. All employees we encountered we extremely nice. I will be back.
The space was great and it wasn't busy so the nose level was low. The food was fine-not amazing but good. The wait person was lovely.
The ambiance was great, and the food was mostly great. We had one plate that was not made properly, and the server seemed really unsure/stressed as to how to handle it. He was very sweet, it just seemed like he didn’t know what his options were to help with the issue beyond offering to replace it.
Everything else tasted wonderful, and things came out in a timely manner.
Really appreciated our server. She was accurate and checked back. Maybe just a tad too frequently. We were friends trying to visit and catch up and were frequently interrupted. But still good service. The only real issue was, drink prices were way too high relative. Two well cocktails for $22? Sort of out of hand. It got VERY noisy. Part of the reason was, the hostess literally was seating everyone next to each other. Instead of spreading people out throughout the floor. It got to the point where we had to shout at each other because of the tables on either side. Food was delicious and fairly priced.
Food was good, view was better.
Very nice view from the 4th floor. The oysters were great and we were very pleased with the service.
Large party was able to sit in a booth on the main floor (13 ppl), service was excellent, appetizers was great, food was bland and disappointing.
Liked the food very close to our hotel, amazing salmon! I will be back for sure.
A four story diner which looks out into nasheville. Great food great service
Fell short of expectations for sure. The pictures on open table make it seem more than it is. Definitely not the best but not the worst. Food came out fast, drinks were okay and food was decent. Good fast dinner before a concert of game downtown, however based on what’s in Nashville to eat this would not be a do over.
There is better food available within walking distance for the same price. They also had a greeter that made you feel less than welcome - once we got to our floor we were also greeted by two hostesses who looked at each other like they had no idea what the heck their job was. Again other places nearby with superior service and food.
Food is just ok and not very cheap. The one plus is a nice view of the city.
We had a terrible experience here. Our server was kind, but it was a mess.
Food was prepared quickly but was unfortunately very bland. Overpriced for the quality. Server was friendly at first but was very distracted throughout the rest of the meal and hardly ever visited the table after taking our order. Food was disappointing for the price. Ambiance & decor were nice but that didn’t offset our overall subpar experience.
Great time - enjoyed the meal and the setting. Would definitely go back again for another special occasion. Ryan did a great job as our waiter.
Food cold. Never even served salad, she forgot. Seemed as if we were bothering waitress asking for anything.
7 PM Reservation for Valentines Day. Seated on 4th Floor, which was only about 1/3 full when seated, and less when we finished. Food was below average, service tried, but struggled and stood talking to group 2 tables away from us for 22 minutes until we got up and asked for service at our table. Servers who brought food to the table did not speak English and simply held the food up over the table waiting for us to point where to place it. Frustrating and disappointing. This was our 3rd time to the Diner and likely won't go back or recommend to friends.
Great restaurant. Very nice atmosphere and on the 5th floor the lighting was low and the noise level wasnt too high. Views were good of downtown too. My wife and I look forward to getting back to check out the bars on different floors. It really seems like The Diner can cater to whatever need you are looking to fill.
First time there. Staff was excellent. The only issue was that the temp outside was very cold and the heat unit for our area wasn’t keeping up very well. We were pretty chilled and the food also cooled off quickly. We will definitely go back.
There were only two things that bugged me. We sat on the 4th floor and my date wanted to sit by the window to be able to see out. The problem was there was a half inch gap in the overhead door letting freezing air in. The simple fix was to change seats at the table and she was fine. The other thing was she ordered a dozen oysters but the server accidentally entered a 1/2 dozen. He came with 6 and explained his mistake and said he will bring out another 6. No problem. Only he rang up two 1/2 dozen orders which is more expensive than the dozen originally ordered. He fixed it so there was no real problem. Other than those two things, the food was great and the atmosphere was great too. Good views of downtown Nashville. Would definitely recommend to friends.
Very fine place to dine I highly recommend🤙🏾
Not as good as we hoped. Food was cold when finally delivered. Fish tacos were dry and hard, french fries were cold. Took an exceptionally long time to a simple dish of ice cream for desert. Don't think I will be going back.
Salmon was delicious as where the mashed potatoes. Ordered a cappuccino but sent back, like water. Desserts are awesome.
Went to the Diner before a concert at the Bridgestone Arena. It is very close to both that and the Schermerhorn. Food was good and the service was great! Unfortunately, no draft beer on the floor we were seated on. There is only draft beer served on 2 floors(the rest are bottled beer) which was disappointing to my husband! Would go back again, but would make sure we’re on one of the floors that has draft beer!
For the price I thought the food would be outstanding with great presentation. It was good, but the presentation was missing. Shrimp App in a bowl no garnish. Filet on a plate with mashed taters in a soup cut, again no garnish. I expect when I pay over 30 per person for a meal, that the presentation would be better.
There is a chair by the elevators that the staff would sit in and read their phones. The upstairs floor hostess didn't smile.
The food was good, the location is great, the waitress was sweet. The wait for drinks was a few minutes but they apologized. Food came out in good time. I just wasn't impressed.
Great breakfast and great service! One of the only places you can make reservations and I’m so glad we did.
Went for Sunday breakfast it was very reasonable and delicious. The service was wonderful and the restaurant was clean and inviting
Food was incredible. Bone in pork chop was amazing and my date loved the Parmesan chicken. Brussel sprouts were some of the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back.
Good food, great mimosa and friendly staff
Loved it ! Such a fun atmosphere and good food!!!!
