It was our Anniversary. Our server was phenomenal! He actually bought us our choice of dessert ✌️😊
Food very good All the staff were energetic and engaging
Late night place!!! Everyone was glad to find it open. Staff was great and put up with us after all day and evening drinkfest!
The service was terrible. The food was well below average and overpriced.
The spinach dip was good and the shrimp and grits were great
Food was delicious, great ambiance, fast service and friendly wait staff. Thank you.
Do not visit. Angelia D was our server. She messed up the entire order. Took us 45 minutes to get our food. Food just ok, prices are not worth service and food quality. Went for breakfast. Even the mimosas were bad. Skip this place.
Our server was awesome
The shrimp and grits are the BOMB don't sleep on them and the white chocolate latte was better than Star Bucks
The location and server were great, the food was mediocre for the price.
We heard “No” as an answer more often than yes
Great location for lunch or dinner before an event downtown. Food and service were great.
It's a really cool looking place with a really limited menu. As a dad, I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.
Hope this was a bad night. Server was working very hard but had too many tables. Waited 10 min to be noticed for seating. Drink order was efficient but then 1 hr 15 min for food. Surprised because reviews and word of mouth recommendations were great . No management seemed to be present. Waiter did comp drinks, and we did not complain so he knew something was up with the experience. Would not recommend or return.
The Diner is great for a casual brunch with friends. Our server was attentive and friendly. I got the hot chicken and biscuits, and everyone else at my table had the hot chicken and waffles. I liked my food, but I'll probably try something different next time I come. I did indulge and get the Molten Lava Cake with ice cream, and that was excellent - then again, The Diner is always good for dessert. Anyway, whether you're a Nashville native or visiting, this is a great spot for a meal, especially if you have a big group! Masks are required until you get to your table, so please, stay safe, protect yourself and others!
It wasn't a good experience. The food wasn't good and our waiter seemed like he wanted us to leave.
The food was good and the waiter was friendly and took good care of us.
Wait staff was very attentive. Great experience.
Service was slow but once the service finally
Good food. Good prices
We loved the entire experience, the food and our waiter!
Fantastic atmosphere, and wonderful service and food!
Came in for a quick appetizer and it was delicious!
We made a reaervation which went smoothly. Our waiter was great with an awesome personality. Everyone enjoyed their food. The view waa great. Loved the unique layout of the restaurant. Will visit again.
The food was fine, busy, but a very small menu. There wasn’t a lot of choice.
Great place to eat! Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to eat in Nashville.
A little disappointed in menu options and food quality. Service was outstanding! Environment was ok.
The good was amazing and so was the staff. Highly recommend.
Good food, beautiful view. The entire city was shutdown due to 3inches of snow, somehow the Diner was one of only a few places still open.
My husband and I made dinner reservations for Valentine's Day and had a mediocre experience. I am a restaurant server myself, so I do understand slow evenings, but unfortunately the staff made our night less than romantic...we were hoping to have an interactive server who made us feel at home and would recommend good eats and drinks, etc.
Our server didn't seem very interested at all in serving us, and as soon as they found we weren't getting a third round of drinks, left for quite a while and didn't return until the hostess very loudly let him know our table was finished.
Overall, the food was okay, but very overpriced. The drinks had no prices on the menu and the atmosphere was very awkward, since the music was very quiet and the entire kitchen staff was sitting 10 feet from our table talking loudly the entire time.
Unfortunately this is not like the great experience I had here several months ago, so I'm not sure whether to recommend this place or say maybe it needs more time to get better.
The food was bland - actually horrible food.
There were very few guest in the entire restaurant yet we had poor service.
It was very cold in the restaurant.
This was our first time to the Diner & we most certainly will not be returning.
Great food and view
Service was very good. Limited menu. Was a cold night and internal temperature should have been warmer.
The view on the fourth floor was great as well, as the food and service
Great food and great environment! Service was fantastic!
It was a nice spot to chill and social distance at prior to an evening out on the town.
Great service! Food is great, but a little overpriced.
I hosted Galentines Day here because its my fav upscale spot in the city. the service is always top tier, the manager always delivers and the servers we had were the absolute best!
i love this place!
Came in for some late evening milkshakes! The staff were so nice and accommodating. Milkshakes were great!!!
Menu was limited
It was quiet
Not many people in the place.
Our server was nice and attentive
We absolutely love The Diner. Highly recommend breakfast.
