Nice treat for breakfast! Lunch offerings available at same time so everyone was happy. Beer warm but server happy to replace. All enjoyed their choices and it’s a comfortable, easy place to be. Recommended!

We were greeted with smiles. Our table was set ready waiting for us. We were promptly offered water and to take additional drink order. The meals were delivered promptly and were pretty. Our selections of Meatloaf and Turkey club were superb. When asked for additional item they were brought promptly. Overall the Diner was a cute little place to enjoy a great meal.

Cute place and tiny. The waitress was great! The food was good. Toast was burned but eatable. Overall I would say good. I would recommend but there may be better breakfast options.

Food was delicious! Just curious though, if you have tickets to a show at Asbury Lanes and eat at the diner while the show is going on, why not open the blinds and let the people watch the show while eating dinner?

Food was good but options were limited due to restaurant being out of some key ingredients and beverages. What we were able to order was fine but probably wouldn’t go back. Nice waitstaff and cool space.

On the website it describes the diner as local, organic food yet there was absolutely nothing healthy to eat on the entire menu. It took 40 minutes for our Cesar salad and turkey sandwich to come out and the turkey sandwich had uncooked fatty bacon we had to discard, no avocado as described and one leaf of arugula on it. Waffle fries soggy and not crispy. Simple menu and simply awful. No specials and the wait staff was over whelmed and understaffed for an evening with a live band. We will not go back.

Service was friendly but slow for a tiny diner. On the night of a concert, 2+ hours before the show (and before a dinner crowd started coming in) they were out of 2 of their 6 sandwich choices (my first two choices). Had to go with an over-priced third choice. It should not take 40 minutes to bring out a medium rare burger and fries and the burger was fair-to-good,

Great breakfast ! The food was delicious. We went for breakfast and then again for dinner that same night . Small space so you must make a reservation if you don’t want to wait. Breakfast times best before 10 am. We tried to go back to eat breakfast the next day but it was too busy. The waffle tower with berries and yogurt was delicious and so was the monte cristo sandwich! Waffle fries were very good too!!

We ate here three times in two days, and every meal was a winner. We had two breakfast meals and then met local friends for lunch. The pancakes were light and fluffy, and the French toast was great. For lunch we even enjoyed the boozy milkshakes. The staff was super friendly and attentive. We look forward to making another trip.

The waitress was very friendly and courteous. Food took a long time to be served, approximately 30 to 45 minutes. There was no children menu as I was told it was on menu but was not on menu

We were looking forward to our first meal here planned before seeing a documentary at the Garden State Film Festival. The restaurant completely failed; we waited 40 minutes for our food, never receiving our meal or an update about a delay in the kitchen. Finally when we asked, we were told it would take 10 minutes more. We couldn't wait any longer in order to make it for the film festival. As we were leaving without having eaten, a couple who was also leaving told us they had waiting two hours and never got their meal. In retrospect, there must have been a problem in the kitchen. Why didn't our waitress warn us there would be a delay?

Cute little place. Not many tables or many items on the menu, but it was perfect for us, as we were seeing a show at the lanes. However, although our waitress was very pleasant, she was the only one there. She was working all the tables and counter so it took an extremely long time for the service. Not blaming her, I’m unsure if others called out or if they didn’t expect the crowd. Food, when If finally came was very good both taste and portion wise. I’d def go back.

We had confirmed reservations at The Diner At the Asbury Lane’s and then checked their events page for something (unrelated) and saw that it was closed for a private party. We tried calling and no one picked up the phone, we tried instagram and no on answered, and then we tried calling the hotel where we waited on hold for 45 minutes to be told they have "no idea." We never ended up going so I'm not sure if their website was wrong or their reservation system but the management over there seems to be a bit of a mess. I hope they get it together because we were really looking forward to trying it.

We are sorry for any confusion about the Diner being closed. The Diner was in fact open but rather The Lanes was closed for a Private Event. If the Diner was closed it would be reflected on OpenTable as well as Social Media. We hope you give us another chance and are open from 8am until 11pm seven days a week.
