The Dhaba always delivers on flavor, ambience, and customer service. Absolutely fabulous!
I love going to the Dhaba, the food is always excellent. I always get a Thali for the variety of the platter style serving. The masala chai is perfect, if only the other guests had less to talk about while I ate ;)
Consistently delicious food with amazing flavors! The owners and staff are friendly, warm, and kind; they add to the delightful experience of dining here.
It was my significant others birthday and I asked for a card and beer be waiting for him, It was there and perfect. The service was great and the food was delicious, I will definitely be back!
This is a small restaurant and a bit easy to overlook. The food was authentic and very nicely prepared. The servers were very friendly, but a bit inattentive. The number of tables is limited and I would suggest reservations to avoid a wait. Their carry out business seems quite popular as well.
Best Indian food in the state. Period
Outstanding food. Butter chicken is one of the best I ever had.
Really good Punjabi dishes. Good service and great value. Will visit next time I am in town.
Best Indian restaurant in the valley, everything was delicious!
Food was very flavorful and excellently prepared and presented. Little more expensive but worth the price and more.
One of our favorites. Through the years we have brought many people here who like us loved it. Great Indian food and a great spot for those of us who are unintentional picky eaters.
Dhaba is my standard that i use to judge every other indian food place and i have yet to find a better place. The staff is friendly and courteous. The food is very very good and consistent. Not a single complaint about this place.
By far one of the best Indian Restaurants we've experienced since living in Nairobi in the 70's. We were seated immediately, recommendations were made by the owner, water glasses were filled promptly. We asked for "medium" heat or a 6 out of 10. It made our eyes water but was excellent. We had the goat curry and chicken tikka masala with garlic naan. We only get to Mesa once a year but the Dhaba will be our Go-To restaurant every time.
After visiting India for the first time 2 months ago, this was our first experience at Dhaba. We we remarkably surprised at not only the authenticity of the food, but in the beautiful tables, chairs, flatware and copper cups for water. We highly recommend this amazing restaurant!
The decor was colorful and welcoming. The menu was extensive and informative. We shared a mango lassi, that was refreshing and sweet; perfect at the beginning of the meal. Papadam and a trio of sauces were served soon after we were seated. It was fresh and tasted wonderful. We were three diners and ordered a basmati rice that was fragrant and tinted yellow by saffron, a goat curry where you could name your heat 1-10 (we chose 4) that was delicious and tender with layers and layers of flavor, and a colorful, mixed kebab grill with naan. One order of Ras malai was ordered for dessert to end our meal. It was just the right amount of food for three people. I would definitely recommend and would return.
Amazing food, as always! We had a vegetarian with us, and she was impressed with the selection, and how amazing the food was.
The Dhaba has the best Indian Food you could ever hope to find. The classic Chicken Tikka is mouth watering and the sauce is out of this world delicious. The garlic naan is scrumptious and the Aloo Gobi is also great. I love the Murgh Vindaloo too but that is not for the faint of heart. I even requested to have the water served in regular glasses and not their traditional metal cups and the water was in glasses when we arrived for our reservation. Will continue to come here for years to come and introduce all my friends and family to this Gem of Tempe.
We made reservations at 5pm when they open. On OpenTable it showed that this restaurant wasn’t closed. I checked online and also showed open. I couldn’t call because are reservation was at 5 and they open at 5. We drove 30 minutes to come to this restaurant and they had a paper sign saying closed. Really wish they would’ve updated that on OpenTable and the website.
We really enjoyed our dinner here. I got the Thali which was a great value, enough for 2 meals. My husband got the shrimp vindaloo. It is very noisy in there and the server misheard my husbands order and brought the wrong thing. She owned up to the mistake and it was fairly quickly rectified.
The naan was very good. I got the Kashmiri Naan, something I had never had before and I loved it. Rose lassi to top it all off and it was a delicious meal. If we didn't live in Cave Creek this would be our Go To for Indian food.
Best Indian food since working in Sunnyvale CA.!!!!!
Who was ever cooking on Father's Day should be replaced. Screwed up all the heat levels. Did not give my wife the Chai and desert that was suppose to come with her dinner. Over priced for the quality of food served. I was here years ago and it was good. I would not dine here again
Wonderful restaurant. Food was fabulous and staff was attentive and kind. Would definitely return.
Always amazing. The best chicken tikka masala and saag in all of Arizona.
The food and service is always good! Why don't I get points for this restaurant on Open Table?
Food was amazingly tasty and fresh. Wait staff kept water glasses filled.
Nothing great here!
Just your average over all , service , atmosphere and food.
The food at the Dhaba is always fantastic. We ordered a number of dishes for the table to share with varying levels of spice. Some of our favorites are the Butter Chicken with chunks of chicken in a delicious sauce with a creamy and sweet flavor. The lamb vindaloo is a wonderful spicy dish that turns up the heat to an 8 or higher but doesn’t lose the flavor. Another go to is the Punjabi chola which is a chickpea dish in a flavorful gravy. No indian meal is complete without a few pieces of garlic naan to clean up all of the sauce on your plate. They also have a solid selection of beer and wine with pairing suggestions based on what you are eating. Long story short, head to the Dhaba for the best Indian meal we’ve found in the valley.
One of the best & authentic Indian restaurants in Tempe.
The Dhaba is an all-time favorite. It’s hard to have a better experience! Well done!!!
Anything we have ever ordered has been exceptionally seasoned and mouth watering.
The food was fantastic just wish they didn't close so early it was a surprise they close at 830pm guess I should of checked first.
Food was well prepared with excellent flavors.
We had four different entrees, and appetizers.
We would definitely return.
The food was good. Bhindi was quite good but kadai paneer didn’t taste as expected.
The staff are excellent, service definitely the best Indian we’ve had in the Phoenix area. We will be back.
Really is fabulous Authentic Indian cuisine. We enjoyed the food, wine and the Indian music playing added to the authenticity.
Excellent food! We had garlic naan, peas Palou, chicken tikka masala lamb tikka masala, chicken curry and man curry was delicious!!! My only complaint is it was much more expensive than I had expected. It’s not a weekly kind of indulgence for our party of 6 with 2 alcoholic drinks. However, it was fresh and well presented, tasted fantastic and the service was attentive. Overall a Winner:)
Delicious as always! Thanks!
Fabulous-Fabulous-Fabulous! Everything you would want in Indian food. Perfect blend of spices, fresh, quality.
Best Indian meal in the valley. Super friendly owner cares about quality. Will return soon
