The Derby is more than a restaurant. Established in 1922, it has been family owned and operated since 1951. It is a grand museum showcasing some of horse racing’s greatest moments. Diners are invited to take a break from the rush of modern life and travel back to the time of George Woolf, Seabiscuit, and relive the excitement of “The Race of the Century”. We excel in offering the best meat and fresh seafood hand selected by our longtime executive chef that would delight even the most discriminating of taste. Some of the menu highlights include the Bacon Wrapped Filet, Delmonico New York, Prime Rib and Shrimp Scampi. We offer a wide selection of wines by the bottle and by the glass. Relax and enjoy a delicious meal in one of our iconic red leather booths, take in a beautiful evening on our terrace, or watch a sporting event in our bar and lounge. Definitely had the worst experience by far dining here. Checked in over 20 minutes earlier than reservation time and still waited nearly 40 minutes till table was ready. Waitress was nowhere to be seen for nearly half an hour when desert was finished and ready for a check, as a matter of fact, there were no staffs anywhere in that section nor the check-in counter.

Wonderful service and great food! We were celebrating a birthday, and were given Baked Alaska for the table by our wonderful server, making it a memorable experience!

We booked this restaurant for a family reunion, drawn by its nostalgic charm and historical significance. While the setting was unique, the experience was disappointing. Despite only having two tables occupied in the room, service was extremely slow — it took 10 minutes just to receive menus and another 20 minutes before our order was taken. The prices were quite high, but unfortunately, the quality of service, the steak and overall experience did not match. Disappointing.

We had a reservation and were seated right away, but ended up waiting an hour for our food. The space was cute and comfortable, and our server was friendly. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t quite worth the wait. It was good, and the prices were fair, but nothing stood out as exceptional.
