   We went during their prix fixe 4 course dinner. Value was great. For $59, you can get appies and mains that other fine dining restaurants in Whistler are charging as upgrades including steak and salmon tartare and dry aged striploin. I did find that the XO sauce in the amuse bouche, tartare and scallops were a bit too much and repetitive. Everything was done perfectly other than too much XO.

   Dinner was amazing! The selections were amazing, we had a very hard time choosing! We will definitely be back!

   The food was delicious and they had an amazing selection. The location is beautiful. We sat avery long time before being acknowledged for drinks or water. The server was apologetic, but for the price per person ($49.00 buffet) one expects orders taken for coffee/water rather quickly. After that the service was fine and the food and location made up for it.

   The Den is a beautiful setting for a restaurant. The food is very good with the exception,imho, of the bread, which tasted like heated airline buns and has a charge of $12. I mean, great bread is easy to find these days. However, ALL the other dishes were very good. The salmon tartare, kale Caesar, steak and pappardelle with mushroom sauce were all excellent. My only other complaint, and this is a big one for us, is the extremely limited wine list. It is mostly BC wines for anything under $130, and those wines are no comparison to international wines at the same price point. It deters us from going back unless it’s a lunch, when we don’t drink wine generally.

   We had the 5-course tasting menu and a bottle of Cab Franc. Food was excellent and we had a very enjoyable evening.

   I was a little underwhelmed by this dinner. It was unfortunate that I wasn't given the opportunity to fill out a scorecard, as well. It could be that it was due to it being the first night of this menu, but everything was a little off. Disappointing meal.

   the buffet was incredible value and accommodated my large party with all dietary requirements and homemade GF bread for the bennies!

    Can't say enough about The Den. A crew of 20-somethings making a name for themselves in the Sea to Sky cullinary world. Great service, whisking dish after dish onto the table with enthusiasm and plenty of 'liner notes'. We had the shared tasting menu and it was way under-priced. I would have been happy paying $120 per. The porcini mushroom/sunchoke soup was absolutely stunning, as was the presentation: whipped ricotta and pangrattato in the bottom of the bowl, with the soup decanted at our table. Such flavour. The shrimp salad with sweet sicily served in a ricepaper 'dish' was delicately flavoured and delectable. 3 kinds of home-made ice cream (parmesan ice cream with strawberry sauce and basil was my favourite) and so much more to mention. Just go!
