The Del-Bar - Wisconsin Dells & Lake Delton
The Del-Bar was establish in 1943 as a Roadside Steakhouse by Jim and Alice Wimmer and today is still family owned and operated by Jeff and Jane Wimmer. The "Prairie style" ambiance, renovations and expansions are by James Dresser, an important protégé of Frank Lloyd Wright.

Perfect for a date night! Great selection of drinks and the food was amazing!
A quality meal in a refined place. The filet mignon was melt in your mouth. Everything was delicious.
Great food and atmosphere! Steaks are excellent and the raw oysters are always a must have appetizer!
It was our 5th wedding anniversary and we did a renewal ... food was .. service was amazing !
I had the Ribeye steak bone in medium well. Enjoyed it very much.
Always an excellent evening here. Great place to celebrate
Steaks seasoned well cooked to perfection. Some of the best clam chowder that I have experienced. Very flavorful and plenty of clams. We will return.
Our first time. Loved it! We ordered steaks that had a wonderful sear on them, cooked perfectly. Yummy mashed potatoes, salad, rolls and appetizers. Cocktails too! Definitely a top spot for us!
It was a great experience for my wife, 5 yr old son, and I. 5 stars! 👍🏻
Everything was great from the happy hour, apps, and the main course. My wife and I loved every minute of it. Also don't forget dessert
Always excellent! Thank you :)
Excellent old fashions, service and food delicious...steak fantastic!
Our service was outstanding...
Love this place!
I haven't dined at the Del Bar since Jimmy ran it. Clearly his daughter has continued his quest for excellence to an even higher level. We celebrated our anniversary and they could not have been more accommodating. The food and service was excellent and timely. Anxious to return with friends once covid is under control. We appreciated the masks on staff a great deal.
Fantastic food and service. Our waitress Suzanne was wonderful. We ate every single bite!
We enjoy the happy hour drinks and appetizers. Mary knows how to make a great Old Fashioned.
Everything was a good as usual, had a little issue with the crab legs, some were excellent and some must of be old, they were a little fishy taste.
Great supper club!! Steaks were outstanding! Service impeccable!
We were staying the weekend and haven’t been here for 2 years. We got the same table as two years ago. It was busier than the last time but the service and food was as great as we remembered
One of my favorite places. It was a very busy night, so service was a bit slower than the norm. However, quality of food an beverage was outstanding as usual. Halibut was excellent.
My husband and I dined here when we were visiting the Dells for a quick weekend get-away. We arrived early for happy hour and it was a classic "supper club" atmosphere. The drinks were phenomenal and the food, when we did sit down to eat was delicious.
The staff and food is top notch. I would highly recommend if looking for a special night out
Staff doesn’t know how to cook a medium rare filet minion. Well done on the outside and rare in the middle isn’t medium rare. Almost 50 bucks for a steak, I’d sure expect better from the cook and waitress. You can’t reheat the steak to try and finish it when it’s already over done on the outside. Steak probably would have been great if cooked properly.
Excellent quality of food! Would definitely recommend!
Went for our Anniversary and the food and our server Ethan were wonderful!
The 20oz ribeye tasted like a steak I would expect from a cheaper steakhouse. The filet on the other hand was worth the price.
The waitress I hope was just having an off night. She was very inattentive but very friendly.
Great food and great service :) I think I have found my new favorite steakhouse in the Dells.
The bartender, waiter and servers were very friendly and engaging. They made the night a memorable occasion--thank you!
We always enjoy our time at the Del-Bar. I wish we lived closer so we could eat there more often.
Awesome dinning experience.
Wonderful place! Our waitress was warm, friendly and responsive. The food....fantastic! For an appetizer we chose the tempura asparagus; the asparagus was extra large and cooked crisp-tender, just the way it should be! The tempura batter was perfect. For our main course we had the halibut and the walleye pike; both were cooked to perfection and expertly seasoned. Overall it was an outstanding dining experience and we will be back!
I suggest ordering the escargot. It was the best we have ever tried.
Looking for a place to go for a special night? Or just tired of the usual fare? Book a table at Del-Bar and let the excellent chef and wonderful waitstaff see to your next meal.
The food was amazing and our waitress was great! The decor is kind of old fashioned but the booth was comfortable. The huge negative of our visit was being told that they needed the table back at 6:30 and asking if that was ok with us. This was our first date night since our child was born and it just put it off to a bad start. I’ve also never made a reservation and been asked if we would be done at a certain or anything of the sort.
Our reservation made no difference in seating. We had to ask to be moved as they put us in a high traffic area. Very friendly and moved right away to a table that was unlevel and wobbled. The service was great the food mediocre especially for the price. Longhorn steak house would rank way above this place in my opinion. With cheap cramp seating the Del Bar did not meet our expectations.
We always have a great meal at The Del Bar and servers are always friendly.
Great food. The best French onion soup I ever had. Very happy with service
With an atmosphere that's warm and inviting, the Del-Bar is an upscale supper club that gives a one-of-a-kind experience and makes you want to return. It's pricey, but the perfect place to splurge for a special occasion or date night. The food rivals any big city four-star restaurant. Opt for an Old-Fashioned drink, the spinach salad, and any entree for a classic but truly memorable supper club experience. The rib-eye and filet were outstanding.
Told hostess it was our first time visiting , asked for a nice seat near a fireplace and she informed us they were not turned on as she went to seat us next to a window , I noticed that the fireplaces were all running , we were the first to be seated as I made 4:30 reservations , so it wasn’t as if there was no available seats , just being put in the high ceiling room by the window just didn’t have any of the northern dinner club feeling that I was expecting , Steak was cooked perfect but the rest was just ok for what we paid
I've been here twice and both times it was absolutely phenomenal!! If you're a fan of steak this is the place to go. Highly recommend!!!
Perfect romantic dinner. My girlfriend’s steak was great and my king crab legs were amazing. Cheese curds were awesome as well as the flourless chocolate cake. Sure, the price tag is high l, but I think it’s worth it if you want a great dinner
