The Del-Bar was establish in 1943 as a Roadside Steakhouse by Jim and Alice Wimmer and today is still family owned and operated by Jeff and Jane Wimmer. The "Prairie style" ambiance, renovations and expansions are by James Dresser, an important protégé of Frank Lloyd Wright.

Burger was good, other menu items were heavily salted. Service was slow and awkward. Good dessert.
As always it was an absolute pleasure at the Del Bar- made our Easter a special occasion!
Everything about this experience was superb. The food and drinks were excellent, the ambiance was perfect, and our server Melissa was incredible. Top notch, all the way around, and can’t wait to visit again.
The food was outstanding and delivered as we had requested. Our waitress, (Jessie F) was way beyond what would be normally expected. Some of us had quite extensive limitations on what we could eat and she either knew already what all was available or she further checked with the chef for clarification. Great Great place to eat. When you receive such outstanding service and food, it is easy to recommend this to anyone who wishes to have a great experience when dining out.
Great food! Try the escargot! Steaks are perfectly prepared, Ravenswood red zin, grasshoppers. Doesn’t get any better! Great Wisconsin Supper Club
Everything there is wonderful. We have never had a bad meal and we try to go quite often
Waiter was outstanding and food was as good as it always is.
The Ribeye was the best steak I have had in years. Be ready for the prices, though.
It has been about 4 years since I was at the Del Bar. It is still one of the best quality restaurants in the Wisconsin Dells. It is quite expensive but I would look forward to going there next year.
Always one of our favorites when we visit the Dells, though slightly less perfect this time around. First, Oysters Rockefeller are made with hollandaise sauce. What they serve by that name is not. French Martini, also on their menu, needed to be sent back as it looked and tasted more like cough syrup than it should have. You do not need raspberry flavored vodka when you are also making the drink with chambord. That is raspberry overkill. Great steaks and the spinach salad with hot bacon dressing is still a winner! Ambiance is wonderful there.
One of the best steaks I have ever had! Also loved the selection of vegetables. We will be back!
Great cocktails and the absolute most fantastic Walleye I have ever had. Also a very good Waitress and Bartender !
My wife and i went there for our 25th wedding anniversary. When seated , were brought 2 glasses of champagne. The food from start to finish was fantastic. Service was great. Can not wait to go back.
For a delicious steak and some amazing Oysters (especially Rockefeller) this is my go to. I have to come here at least twice a month!
I was immediately taken with the beauty of the mid century modern interior. Our server, Cheryl, was stellar. She was friendly, easygoing, conversational, professional. She told us a bit about the history and architecture of the restaurant. She engaged naturally with our daughter and her friend. The bartenders were friendly and curious about a drink my husband wanted. They lacked the ingredients and were planning on looking up information. The food was delicious. My husband and I shared a salad, crab and steak. It was plenty satisfying. The crab legs were cracked for us for easy eating. The kale salad was phenomenal! What a satisfying experience!
The Del Bar experience is second to none. Our food and service was awesome. Enjoyed every minute of it
The best melt-in-your-mouth steak I've ever had!! Service was outstanding. Will definitely go back next time we are in the Dells. 👍
Lobster and steaks were excellent. We came with our grandkids and the service was excellent. Really enjoyed our dinner
Food and service was outstanding. We are celebrating a birthday, and Renee our server was very knowledgeable and did an outstanding job! We’ll be back
Good thing we had 6:15 reservations for (4), and checked in early, because we didn’t get seated til 6:40!. Very disorganized seating process. BUT it’s a very classic supper club and was very busy on a fish fry Friday. Once we got to the table, our waitress was wonderful and very experienced, and our fish came very quickly. It was just OK, more greasy than I would have expected. We’ll probably give it another try next time we go to a show in the Dells, and allow more time for the reservation and try some other menu items.....it is a convenient location to the Crystal Grand Theatre.
Been there several times, great place! Food and service is incomparable - pricey beverages compared to others in the area. Nonetheless, we will return.
Great food and service. A little slow but only because they were very busy. Well worth any wait.
We visit Del-Bar probably 4-6 times per year, and we are ALWAYS pleased with the atmosphere, service, and food. This time, our group of 10 arrived a little before 6:00 on a Friday night. The bar was busy, but service was prompt and the drinks and appetizers were exactly as ordered. We got to our table, and two servers took additional drink orders, and started us on our dinners. Most of us had steak, and a few had fish. The salads, breads, entrees, and desserts were all absolutely perfect in preparation and timing. Another great night out.
I rave about Del-Bar at every opportunity, and friends & extended family have taken to joking that it's the only restaurant our family visits. While that's a slight exaggeration, it's not entirely wrong. Del-Bar is (and has been, for more than 20 years) our go-to special place for our special days (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) or just when we want to get together for a nice meal in an environment where we can sit and talk, and be happy. If you haven't been, go.
Our dinning experience was excellent.
Only complaint was I ordered my steak medium and I would say it was medium-rare.
I did not report this to the server so I didn’t expect them to remedy the situation.
Other than that we really enjoyed our experience.
My reservation online was very helpful since we traveled 45 minutes and were seeing a concert at Crystal Grand.
P.S. spinach salad was amazing!
Great staff, had a drink at the bar before being seated. There were six of us. Staff is outstanding, the food delicious, cool place physically/architecturally.
Classic Wisconsin supper club. Get there early for before dinner appetizers and cocktails at the bar!
Best Food, and Service. From appetizers, Drinks and Dinner.
Steaks we’re excellent—well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. Wedge salad and mushrooms were delicious, as was the schaum torte we had for dessert! Good food and good service!
We come to the Del Bar once or twice a year for special occasions. We are never disappointed in the service and food. The steak is always tender and perfectly cooked to temperature. My husband had the walleye with asparagus. Very tasty. Save room for dessert...yummmm.
Great Service and quality food in an old school Supper Club atmosphere.
Great cocktails, good variety on menu, appreciated the mid-century ambiance
Cheryl was an amazing server. Very attentive and offered great suggestions.
Old style Supper Club expected more from News paper article that we read.
Best food around! Love the atmosphere.
Excellent as always
The tempura shrimp is fantastic, and the 4 different oysters on the half shell are great
We are so fond of the Del-Bar. Actually we have been dining there since we were children, having our wonderful parents and godparents treat us to this fine dining. We continue to go to the Del-Bar for many special occasions. It is special!! Thanks to everyone who makes it a step back in time with the highest quality of food yet today.
The Dell Bar is the best fine dining in the area. Always top notch. Been going there for years.
Great food and experience!
Had the filet with the Wisconsin topping it was delicious. Great service will definitely go back next time in town.
