Had the best table in the house in front of the fire.
We were greeted rather brusquely and told there’d be a surcharge despite this not being on the online booking site. The emphasis seemed on establishing this and making sure we’d be finished by the next booking rather than welcoming us. Later staff attending the table were more pleasant and attentive. The food was generous but the sorbet desert was disappointing- tasting more like a slushy. Could do better for the price and location.
Flinders is a beautiful area. Staying at Quarters and eating at Flinders Hotel was a great weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and meals.
Thought the food was very basic for the price
A little noisy, good ambience, service not special
Middle of the road
We really enjoyed it and the service was very good.
The waitress was friendly and made us feel comfortbale.
2 orders of Seafood Linguine excellent as usual, mother-in-law wanted a smaller meal of calamari, was tough and bland, disappointing for her first meal here. But we will be back for linguine
2 of the three meal were fine. The person who had the third meal likes their steak fully cooked. The staff were very pleasant and helpful
Service impeccable, Food delicious, Lovely place to eat, Highly Recommend
We loved our night out at the Deck!
The food was amazing and the service was fantastic! Sitting by the fireplace kept us toasty and warm on what was a chilly foggy night.
The restaurant was very cold, we needed our jackets on to eat dinner. Service was friendly, though food was average. Might have just been an off night.
Different interesting ingredients used well. The restaurant was justifiably busy on a Thursday night. I would just like to see a few more local wines available by the glass to rate higher.
Excellent helpful staff and great food
Would definitely recommend
Easy booking, friendly efficient service, good atmosphere reasonable prices & nice food.
Sensational food. And amazing service. It was refreshing to have good old fashioned table service where we didn’t have to order from a QR code.
Great service, went out of theor way to accommodate fussy you gest child!
I had accidentally booked the wrong day and they were very accommodating and still squeezed our party of eight into the place. Fabulous meals and wonderful head waitstaff made it a very special night for our table.
Had a booking and had to wait 15 minutes for someone that had “the ipad “ before we could be sat at our table that was booked.
Then had a wait for menus, drinks order and drinks to arrive (they sat at the bar)
The menu was very limited with no vegetarian options.
Lots of choice to suit everyone’s tastes and quality was of a good standard.
Food very average. Some meals were very over cooked ( fish) . Service attentive.
A nice atmosphere, great food with enough choice. Good drinks menu. Yummy dessert. Quiet enough to have a conversation but still relaxed
As usual the food and ambience is exactly what we have come to expect at The Deck. Great. But last night the service was outstanding. The weather turned very cold and the only booking we chad been able to secure was an outside table. After bringing us blankets, and showing concern for our comfort, despite the fact that we were trying to put a brave face on to the situation, we were suddenly rescued to an inside table. Someone had not turned up. The food that followed amply made up for the discomfort we had suffered. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Food nice, too many chips. hubby ordered steak did not fancy the butter that went with it asked if he could have garlic butter instead. Only to find he was charged $2 extra for that. Go figure??
The smell of fried food permeated the eating area. Whilst food was pleasant it was not exceptional
The experience was disappointing. The food was ordinary, there was no atmosphere and there was a cold draught. The staff were lovely but would not go again or recommend
The food was amazing - as usual. We were in a quiet area that was very new, it was lovely and suited our needs of space for a high chair and a pram, so we were not in anyone's way. Service was great, we are regular's of Flinders Hotel and always recommend it to friends.
Fantastic venue the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome! Nothing too much trouble. The food was superb !!
Good and service were fabulous as always. They could use some out door heating, it was a bit chilli especially with restricted numbers in doors
We loved it! We always do, highly recommended hotel.
Friendly good service and great food
Really enjoyed the meal especially the desserts. Very creative and delicious menu. Service was very efficient and friendly.
very pleased with our choice to go to Flinders Hotel
great for a sunday lunch relaxed and professional
The Deck perfect for our group of 6
Menue diverse and every meal was delicious
would definitely recommend and go back ourselves too
We had a great 'get out of jail' Sunday lunch at The Flinders Hotel. The food was good (they mucked up our order a little but it was quickly resolved) and the service fantastic. Looking forward to returning to experience their French Pop-Up dining.
One of our favourite places to eat. Always treated respectfully by everyone. Love the ambience, menu and wine selections.
The food was delicious and the service was fantastic
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Meals were tasty but missing something...sometimes less is not more
Waiters were very helpful and ambience was good. Kids meals were good value for money. However, the main meals were lacking in both value for money and taste. My husband had the kingfish and it came with no sides, just sauce and an over cooked piece of fish. My steak was one of the worst I’ve tasted. Overcooked and almost tasted broiled not pan seared. No sides except a small basket of chips, no salad or veggies. In fairness, the wait staff did offer to change it for something else or recook another steak, but everyone had their food and were nearly done so I said no. It was suggested that it might be because I didn’t have the sauce with it but I never do, and I see the sauce on a steak as an accompaniment to enhance flavour not to hide bad taste. Won’t be coming back in a hurry and if I do I definitely won’t be be ordering the $43 steak!!
Great service and very attentive. Couldn't fault our meals.
One thing to consider is "Mocktails" for none drinkers, having a cocktail for mothers day was great, but don't drink.
Expand the menu a bit.
