Our server disappeared for a while but she was very friendly. The food tasted good but one of our dishes was so spicy we couldn't eat much of it. Overall it was a great experience and we would go back.
I went to The Dearborn with a few friends on a post-wedding Sunday for a late brunch. The service was well-paced, the drinks were well-executed, and the food was thoughtful and precise. The band was playing energetic jazz with a fantastic lead singer. I’d recommend The Dearborn to anyone looking for a great start to a fun Sunday.
Went for brunch food was okay, and a little pricey. The service was exceptional , There was live music and it was to loud. I would give this another try.
Great food and staff was so helpful.
We stopped at the Dearborn for brunch on a Sunday and were able to snag a res on the way before it became too busy.
Beignets were amazing and much larger than expected. Everything else was suitably delicious. The chipotle-yogurt sauce over the eggs in the Chorizo the chorizo wasn't my favorite, but perfectly acceptable. My wife's All American Breakfast was standard fare and she enjoyed it.
Their house-made Bloody Mary mix had an interesting tang which I think was olive juice, but didn't deviate so far from the norm that it wasn't a Bloody Mary anymore. My wife was jazzed to get decent loose leaf tea in a press and liked it. The coffee was not great, but I'm a snob so I usually let that kind of thing pass :)
Service was excellent — I was so exhausted I've forgotten our waiter's name but he was very attentive and seemed able to appear whenever we needed him and then disappear when not. He and the rest of the staff didn't hover or rush us in any way, but were always ready to help.
Portions are large. Bring an appetite if you plan on getting anything more than just an entree. We will be back.
The food was amazing. Our server was wonderful and gave wonderful food and drink recommendations! Very accommodating when the storming started and we needed to wait out the rain an extra 45 minutes. They didn't rush us from our table.
Loved their Miche!! Egg & Avocado BLT was amazing !!
Fabulous brunch - excellent food and service
The menu regarding the trout was misleading as there is no mention of dairy or sour cream w the dish. Who puts cream on fish? And the service was ok! The waitress was overly attentive, we had just sat down and she asked for our drink order when we did not have an opportunity to review the menu. More importantly, the wait staff are eager to remove your plates and utensils when you just placed your fork down whilst everyone is still eating. I think that is a lack of training and etiquette.
A plate should not be removed from a guest when the other guests have their plates full. Overall experience was meh.
Everyone was so nice! The fish n chips were delicious and we extra loved the crispy fries and coleslaw. We were too full for dessert but got beignets to go and it was a sound move. Melissa our server was most excellent. See you next time Dearborn!
Absolutely wonderful experience and food. The daily Manhattan setup is amazing.
We had lunch on the patio, the noise level was what you would expect in the city during rush hour. The food excellent. The waitstaff was outstanding. We definitely will lunch there again.
Outside was great! Service always excellent and food was fresh and tasty
Incredibly overpriced food. We ordered ceviche and a burger. The fries that came with the burger were overcooked and hard. I was not impressed by ceviche at all.
The only good thing about this place was the Page Me! cocktail that I ordered - it tasted pretty good.
Impeccable service from host stand to table to management. Thank you.
Amazing experience, great place and food - 100% recommended
That this place averages 4.7* makes me question the reliability of open table reviews. Meh. The menu sounded much better than it was and the service was rather indifferent.
Our experience was great from the beginning. Our server, Lynn, was extremely attentive and very friendly. We struck up a conversation with her immediately. She did a great job of recommending some specialties on the brunch menu. My date had the fish and chips, and I had the chicken tinga tostadas. Both entrées were delicious. The atmosphere in The Dearborn is very laid-back yet elegant, and the live music coming from the bar only enhance the experience.Suffice it to say that The Dearborn will be on our to do list the next time we visit the city.
Ginger beer with lime/lemon went well with the fish and chips and had a good kick.
Perfect spot, great vibe, awesome service, and the portions were very generous.
The Dearborn is a casual restaurant that seems best for a quick dinner before going to the theater. Food choices are very limited. Will be great when the theaters are open again.
This place never disappoints. The staff delightful and attentive and you have to save room for dessert.
Delicious brunch in a very pretty place!
I can't say enough great things about The Dearborn. It was my family's first time and as I had my parents in town for my dad's birthday, I was hoping to have brunch at a special place in the Loop. We were blown away by the exceptional service from beginning to the end. We ordered the Chef's Omelette, Shrimp & Grits, and Beignets and they even ended our meal with a special treat with a candle to celebrate my dad's birthday. I will definitely coming back again for other special occasions and would highly recommend!
Food was just ok in general in our opinion. We probably wouldn't go again.
Fantastic spot to grab a drink or a bite either for lunch or dinner. I personally liked both the reuben and the chicken caesar salad.
Great atmosphere with wonder food and drink choices. We put together a tapas meal. The tomato bisque. With fried cheese curds is not to be missed. Also don’t pass up the sinfully good Parmesan truffle fries. Nice specialty cocktails; I had two different ones that gray nuanced flavors.
Food was excellent. znenu is great. Host wasn’t super mice and waiter was very good when present but not super attentive.
We went to celebrate my birthday and they made
It enjoyable, tasty, and special. The house gin martini was smooth. The Caesar salad, which they split for the two of us, was perfectly dressed, crunchy and a little bit different in a very good way. The Brussels sprouts were excellent. The halibut was a bit over cooked but very tasty and the fries were fine (I’ve never met one I couldn’t eat!!). The smoky vanilla and the chocolate cherry ice creams were so good I want more. The special little birthday cake surprise was a perfect end to a wonderful meal! Thanks The Dearborn for making my birthday celebration special!!!
Perfect! Book it.
Having brunch while Brooklyn Britches was singing was a highlight of my trip.
Loved the live music, wasn’t very loud at all, beautiful indoors, wasn’t a fan of the shrimp and grits as they were too runny but and yummy Beignets and mocktails !!!
The service, as always , was wonderful. Pizza was great as was my fish entre. The carrot cake is superb!
I found this GEM because I wanted a place near our hotel. This was a great choice. My husband enjoyed The Dearborn Burger, I liked the Midwest Fried Chicken and Brussel sprouts. The chicken was a little overcooked and the Brussel sprouts had a little too much oil in them but the overall food was delicious. We also had the truffle fries, they came out cold but we were having such a good time and our waiter was excellent!!!!
I ordered pizza--a first for me here since Chicago is full of pizzerias. And this is simply the best tasting pizza I've had. I'm not even a fan of thin crust pizzas. But the flavor and crispy thin crust have won me over. I'll think "The Dearborn" next time I'm craving some really well-seasoned, tasty pizza. (FYI: I had the Baby Kale & Mushroom option.)
I have never had a bad experience at The Dearborn. And we all know that restaurants are struggling with staffing right now. Obviously, service has been a little faster in the past -- but we really had no complaints about it. Our server had a great personality.
Our server was slow and our food was cold
We had a great waiter and the service was excellent. I had the Halibut and it was so delicious and served with some greens. We added French Fries and they were perfect - crispy on the outside and and salted just right. We each had two glasses of wine suggested by our waiter and it enhanced our meal.
Food was better than I thought it would be but expernsive and feels touristy
The food was amazing
