My daughter and I had an awesome dinner at The Dearborn after Mean Girls across the street at the Nederlander. It was super good food, great atmosphere, very quick, and everyone was very attentive to our every need. Our waiter was very friendly and funny!
My biggest issue with The Dearborn is that I find it very overpriced for what it is. The food is reliably good, in fact among the best Loop restaurants. That said, I think the prices are just too high, especially at lunch.
Great service, food was excellent, it is pricey... but overall I was happy with everything.
We enjoyed everything about this place. Great atmosphere, service and very tasty food and drinks!
Fantastic as always
Great service and food was excellent.
Great food and Alex was a great server. Food was delicious!
Second time at The Dearborn in three weeks! Just as great this time. We’ll be back! Great for pre-theatre dinner.
Good food, excellent service and great downtown location - perfect for shopping or the theater district.
Absolutely wonderful restaurant for any occasion... business lunch/brunch, a date to celebrate something... or get an early bird dinner before Theatre.
Amazing handcrafted cocktails (bartender Ryan is a smooth operator) and the sisters Lawless are at front of house and back in kitchen at same time. Their signature pastries on the weekend are to die for. Possibly my wife and my favorite Chicago restaurant!
Normally we have a great experience at the Dearborn, but last night it took almost an hour to receive our entrees.
Great food and service.
Always excellent service accompanied by exquisite cuisine!
Great meal. Great service. Great ambiance. Perfect NYE meal location.
Our server was amazing, we heard the fried chicken rap from the artist himself and loved our food!
Visited for the first time on New Years Eve with my fiance and we were both delighted to find a modern, inviting, and inclusive experience from the lush seating to the exceptional service, and farm to table seasonally rotating menu with several dietary options and alternatives; including some wonderfully surprising non-alcoholic cocktails! Would highly recommend for a girls night out, romantic evening away, or corporate team outing. Visit for the flavor-filled menu options and stay for the exceptional service in a modern and inviting setting serving 5-star speakeasy vibes all night long.
I enjoy going to the Dearborn before or after theater. The cocktails are ambitious and the food choices sufficiently broad. You can have a fancy sandwich or a traditional entree like salmon. Everything is good, but rarely inspired. The tables are close together and you have to go up a short flight of stairs to use the bathroom. The staff are very nice.
Nice family lunch on NYE before seeing a matinee across the street. Food was very good, enjoyed shrimp and grits, chicken soup, roasted Brussels sprouts and the gnocchi special. All were delish. Son had the fish and chips which he was disappointed by - thought both flavor and texture were not as good as expected.
The food is fine - standard fare. But the prices are way too high for the fare and portion size. You are definitely paying for the location. $10 for a small bowl of bow tie pasta with butter on it for a child is ridiculous. $24 for a small bowl of gnocchi in brown butter sauce is pretty silly too. For 3 adults and one 5 year old with one beer and one cocktail the bill plus 18 percent gratuity was $161.00. Bizarre.
Place was in a great location to Millennium park and other attractions, food was excellent our server made it a great experience, I’m going back for sure
Awesome food, ambiance. Service was very knowledgeable, kind but just a bit slower to get drinks and food out. Would definitely come back!
Great food. Great palace to eat.
Loved the atmosphere. The food was great. The service was impeccable. The staff was friendly. We'll be back!
This was our third time at the Dearborn, which indicates that we 1) really enjoy dining here, and 2) have established that they are consistently good at what they do, which is provide yummy food, helpful, friendly, and attentive service, and have a menu that's enticing to a very finicky 14 year old. Thank you!
We had a great time. The food was excellent, our waiter was exceptional and the ambience was very good for conversation. We are planning to go back on our next trip to Chicago.
Never disappoints. Service and food perfection. I had the smoked salmon plate, it was beyond yummy!!
Outstanding food and service. Very creative menu and an outstanding wine list. Just an all around excellent dining experience.
I was really looking forward to a great experience... then I ordered the chicken fried steak. I was told I couldn't have it because they cross contaminate their fish fryer, to which I am deathly allergic. To top it off, the waiter acted like my allergy was an inconvenience to him. Needless to say I won't be going back.
We live in Milwaukee but it was the second time we were there in a year. Love the cool interior and happy vibe. A great bar, friendly, knowledgeable bartenders. On Open Table the restaurant wanted to know if it was a special occasion. Yes, an anniversary. Well, we were seated, given an envelope with a beautifully inscribed hand-written welcome and anniversary wish. Then the manager came by with complimentary champagne. One of the owners (Amy) came by to wish us a happy anniversary. Then after a delicious meal (I had the roasted salmon) we were given a complimentary dessert. We felt pampered. The prices are reasonable, the service exemplary, the food delicious. Just a really cool place.
Best bread ever!
We ate here before the show at the Nederlander across the street. Excellent food and service. Will definitely go again!
Always enjoy this favorite!
Food was excellent, service was exceptional.
Restaurant design was excellent. Service was outstanding and Food was very good. Would go back again.
Smooth and great food. Service was great and we love the location. Can’t beat it. Price was ok not cheap for sure.
The Dearborn was OK. I have gone to their sister restaurants The Gage and Acanto several times and was expecting much more in ambience. There were four of us guys having a business Christmas lunch. We shared the roasted brussel sprouts and truffle fries as a starter and they were very good. I had the fish and chips and it too was very good, in fact it was particularly good. I think being disappointed that it was not a classier place has colored my view of the experience, but I must say that their bar looked like a place to be for lunch. It was pretty hopping. Eh, maybe I'll try it again.
The burgers were excellent, and so were the sides. Highly recommend the Baileys gelato for desert. Half a block from the Goodman theatre. Very convenient for pre or post-theatre dining.
The food was as good as promised. We had the fish and chips (3 of us) and we can see why this dish "beat Bobby Flay." The service was impeccable. I'll go back again and again.
Dinner before the show- Christmas Carol
