Great location, great food and great ambience!
Fantastic service. Owners make you feel like part of the family and take the time to speak to each table. I am not a foodie so I enjoy the hamburger Have been there several times and will continue to go back
It is such a beautiful space, very open and welcoming - our out of town guests loved it. As always the food was terrific, I especially like The Dearborn for brunch. The menu is different than the usual plate of eggs, and the quality and preparation are top-notch. The service is very professional and the staff is friendly without being your new best pal. Love it, love it, love everything about it.
We had such an amazing time and my birthday was great
I had the local farm salad, which is always a favorite of mine even as the ingredients change throughout the year. And the seafood chowder, which is rich in flavor but not too thick. If The Dearborn served their Seafood Chowder and their French Onion Soup throughout the year, I think there might be many "to-go" pickups after the workday ends. Comfort food with wonderful seasonings that keep it all fresh tasting. A gem for locals, a find for others. I've recommended this place to many friends & they've become regulars like me. Go enjoy!
St. Paddy’s day. Busy but relatively quick service.
Our server was fabulous.
Cuisine was superb. Our server, Victor was wonderful We will definitely return
Been here a few times. This time around the waiter didn’t show up for a bit. The hostess was right on top of helping him though. Greatly appreciated the hostess stepping in and helping. Food is always good. Cocktails a bit expensive, but also very good.
Excellent service and food. The noise level in some of the rooms was pretty high. We were near the kitchen and it was fine by us. Prices were reasonable.
Nice restaurant. Right in the theater district. Reservations were easy to make. I made them the day or the show. It's a very youthful and vibrant place, sometime a bit TOO loud, though. Booths are spacious. Service was great! Portions were pretty small, though. Appetizers came in threes instead of fours, which made sharing a bit awkward. Fries were yummy. Good place to eat after seeing a great show.
Not very interesting food for the price. The chicken was too sweet and the duck confit just tasted like dryish pot roast
I hosted a team dinner for 6 and it was perfect all around! Great food, service and atmosphere. The Fried Chicken appetizer was amazing as was the Bass. Highly recommend!
Always 5 stars!
Great place in the loop downtown. We spent time both in the bar and in regular dining and both experiences were very enjoyable. It's also perfectly located in the heart of the Chicago theatre district and is a great place to go before the show. The staff are friendly and very well trained and know the menu very well. Definitely be sure to try some of their unique gin-based cocktails.--we tried the First Class Flight which is an interesting combo of both dry and sweet (not too sweet, thankfully!) and is made with the restaurant's very own gin label, db gin. We also enjoyed a classic Manhattan, which was delicious. For our meal, we ordered a series of small plates including the Scotch Egg, the Blue Crab Hushpuppies, Midwest Fried Chicken, and the Pork Rillette "Cigars". All were delicious and we recommend everything we tried. We will definitely be back to try some of the menu items that we didn't get to this time around! Happy eating!
A group of girlfriends and I dined at The Dearborn before attending the Mariah Carey concert and it’s safe to say we were all pleased with our experience! The decor was attractive, the staff was attentive, food and drink was splendid and to add a cherry on top, the music included all of our favorite 90s hip hop and R&B tunes to get us pumped for the concert!
Service and good is truly outstanding!
We had brunch prior to the symphony. The service was excellent, we enjoyed the music and the food was good. I did not like my choice, but my fellow diners liked theirs. The ambience is great and we will definitely dine there again
The Dearborn NEVER disappoints- if you’re looking for a chill vibe, near Chicago theatres, stop in for Sunday brunch— amazing drinks, attentive service, delicious food and great live music. Perfect way to ease back into the week.
In town for a concert at the Chicago Theatre. The Dearborn was fantastic from from the starter (Burrata), to entree (The Dearborn Burger) to dessert (churro). Michael did an outstanding. Putting this one back on the list for my next visit!
Excellent food, and professional friendly service. Josh was quite knowledgeable, and an excellent server. Highly recommended.
I love this place! Consistently delicious with outstanding service.
Going to see Dear Evan Hansen
Fantastic meal and great service. The maple glazed chicken was delicious.
Great place for dinner.
Great place across from the theater.
Pre theatre- Anniversary date
Always a good meal at The Dearborn. Great friendly and attentive servers as well as comfortable clean surroundings and you never feel rushed. Can’t wait for St. Patrick’s Day☘️
This place is never a disappointment. Nice selection of wines by the glass in addition to an endless selection of cocktails. The soup special was a chicken and kale soup that was light on the palate and perfect for a chilly day. I was surprised at how authentically the Cubano sandwich was prepared. I've been here numerous times and I know I'll be back quite often.
Generally this is a very reliable spot. We got there on time and wanted to be seated in the bar area so that basketball would be in the background. So far so good. We asked to have a specific game on and that was done timely. But for the food service it was really slow and we had to ask several times to have soup brought out and then our mains. Just took too long for a business time lunch. As I said generally very reliable and food is good so will go back.
Great for before theatre. A bit over priced but a great location in the north loop. Cheerful and helpful server and an energetic crowd.
Excellent choice for pre theatre dining. Friendly and helpful service. Lots of delicious options on the menu, and they are flexible if you see something you want changed. The place is very popular. The bar area is jumping with after work folks. But there are quiet tables and booths where you can have a conversation. We will definitely go back.
Treat yourself to the roasted Brussel spouts, yes Brussel sprouts, Worth the upcharge to replace the French fries (which are good but the sprouts are fabulous). The pastrami reuben is excellent. Plus gourmet sodas! Perfect lunch.
The moment I walked I loved the ambiance! We felt welcome when we first walked in. Our reservation was honored right away. Our server Paul was awesome! We were celebrating my daughters Birthday and the server sent her over a Birthday treat! The food tasted wonderful, I would definitely come back the next time I'm in Chicago!
I love the food at the Dearborn but some of the tables are small and very close to each other. You and your neighbors can hear each other.
Ideally located both for lunch , working in the area, but also for dinner before theatre. Great menu, good service.
This is a great pre-theatre option. We particularly liked the hamburger (one of the best) and the burrata salad was tasty with marinated beets.
Love Sunday brunch, but dinner is pricey. Great food and service, as usual!
