We were shown to our booked table, and water and menus were delivered in a timely manner. We have eaten here before and much enjoy the chefs adventurous cooking; again we were not disappointed in the quality of the food or wine. We shared a dish of sardine crudo with delicious house made bread and whipped ricotta…..just fabulous!. It was steak night!….we both ordered medium rare porterhouse steak which was deliciously charred and accompanied by a truffle garlic butter, fries and a simple salad. We drank Italian white and Sangiovese red ……delicious, particularly the white. Service was professional, warm and friendly. Thank you. Thursday night at ‘the Dart’; we’ll be back.

I am a frequent visitor to the Dart and Marlin. The food is always excellent and the staff are lovely. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Warrnambool area.

Thursday steak night was ace, beautiful tender steak, Melbourne bitter, perfect combo. Service was excellent too.

Food was amazing, the atmosphere was fantastic. It did feel weird that we weren’t given food menus until we ordered our drinks. Service could be improved overall, however I would still come back.

Very poor lighting and as a result the menu hard to read, menu had a diverse range of items . Beers and wines are from biodynamic producers and one red wine we choose had a lot of sediment, ideally this would had be most enjoyable if it had been decanted , I’m not sure if they have decanters . The ambient temperature was a little cold for us so we left early to go to another warmer venue

We finally had the opportunity to visit, and it was a beautiful experience. The food, drinks and the service was amazing. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved our visit to Dart and Marlin! The pizza was fantastic—with plenty of vegan options that didn’t feel like an afterthought. The staff were warm, attentive, and really knowledgeable about the wines on their list, which made for a perfect pairing. The atmosphere was relaxed yet vibrant, and the standout for us was the potato pizza made vegan—exquisite! Can’t wait to come back.

Booked a high top table, didn’t get it. Was seated in what felt like a corridor. Drinks took just over 30 minutes and arrived with the food. Food overall was quite good, apart from the heirloom tomato salad which were not heirloom tomatoes and tasted like they had been cut the previous day. Never had an opportunity to order more drinks or dessert as no server came around again. Eventually gave up and walked back out the front to try and find someone to pay, which in itself seemed like a chore for the staff. Overall very disappointing and definitely not worth the money.
