   We came in to celebrate my birthday. My friends were from Indianapolis and Cincinnati and had never been to the Dark Horse.  they love the food and the ambience. Our server was very attentive and even placed a candle in my drink to celebrate my birthday.

   The first thing we experienced when entering the Dark Horse is a genuine sense of welcome. The staff seem truly happy for their customers to be there. The food and variety of drinks is really good. The owners were there to check on customer’s satisfaction, take orders and clear tables. It was a really nice night out for us.

   Dark Horse Social Club is a hidden gem! From start to finish, our dining experience was exceptional. The scallops and tuna were perfectly cooked—fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The prime rib was equally impressive, tender, and bursting with rich flavor. Beyond the incredible food, the drink menu was expansive, and the wine offerings were truly impressive, making it easy to find the perfect pairing for any dish. The prices were very competitive, especially considering the high quality of both the food and service. If you're looking for a top-notch dining experience with outstanding food, great drinks, and excellent value, Dark Horse Social Club is the place to go. Highly recommend!

   Service was prompt and friendly. Food was delicious. Good choice of beer, wine and cocktails.

   I discovered this place the last time I was nearby & dropped by for dinner tonight. The food is great, the staff is superb, & the ambiance is lovely. I had the prime rib sliders, which were delicious. And the cheesecake was divine. The building is old & was renovated beautifully. They put up old photos of family members & horses, which was charming. I’ll definitely go for dinner the next time I’m in the area.

   The service and atmosphere were amazing. However the appetizer of steak fries we received wasn’t even the size of a small order of fries. They were air fried and barely cooked through with some weird dried seasoning clumps sprinkled on it. The entree of fish was also air fried. The side of mashed potatoes were so salty I ate them with the completely unseasoned peas to even it out.

   ONE OF TWO OF OUR FAVORITE PLACED TO EAT IN DEFIANCE, OHIO. THE STAFF ARE WONDERFUL . THE MENU IS CHANGED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. I WOULD LIKE MORE VEGETARIAN DISHES, BUT I CAN ALWAYS FIND SOMETHING. LOVE THE ARCHITECTURAL ASPECTS AND HOW THEY KEEP THE UNIQUE AMBIANCE OF THE PAST. WHEN SUMMER COMES, THERE IS OUTDOOR EATING AND MUSIC.

   The staff at this restaurant are exceptional. Your waiter/waitress is not the only one coming around to your table. Several staff asked how I was doing, did I need anything etc. Last time I was here, I ordered a drink and the man who prepared my drink brought it out to me. The menu isn’t too big. Food is delicious. It’s a very small restaurant, so it’s a good idea to make reservations.

    Great food! My creamy potatoe soup and pomegranate feta salad was amazing! My husband had the pasta band meatballs. We ended the meal with an amazing dessert of pudding cake. It was delish. * my husband did think maybe a slice of garlic toast would of been good with the pasta. ( not necessarily needed nut would of been good to have)
