    Even though there weren’t many people at 7pm the service was quite slow, but they were friendly. The Indian paratha tacos were a nice texture but not much flavor. The guac was also kinda bland. Salsa is sweet so beware if that’s not your thing. We sat on the patio and the host warned us that there are mosquitos and he was not wrong. LOTS of mosquitoes even with tiki torches lit. The ambiance is nice and the staff were friendly.

    We sat down for our 1:30 reservation at 1:40 or so, and the server essentially informed us that the kitchen was about to close - why bother accepting reservations if the kitchen is closing in that short turnaround. The server was unbothered with our table, simply dropping plates off and rushing us along. Extremely distasteful which was sad since the food was pretty good.

    OMG! This place blew my mind . I went for lunch during restaurant week. From the pictures all I could think about all day was the wings . Hoping that it would live to expectations. 1000/10 . I’m gonna be talking about the wings for a long time. It was a three course lunch for $25 and we added the $25 bottomless mimosas. We did the Shrimp tempura and the chicken wings for the first course. It really did set the tone for the rest of the meals because nothing disappointed. Second course was the shakshuka and the short rib hush and our last course was French toast and pancakes. Wait staff was also very friendly. I would legit take the metro into Dc again just to come eat here!

    Came for a late brunch during restaurant week and the restaurant was quite and not crowded. Food was really good. Had the short rib, shrimp tempura, pancakes, and French toast and would order again. Service was professional and attentive. Loved the ambiance. Would go back again!

    Another home run! This was our second time at Gerrard Street Kitchen and it was just as good as the first time, although we liked the Boston oysters better than the Blackberry's from VA. They were good but not as good but it's also an off oyster month. The scallops and shrimp were wonderful, the sauce was delicious and and the risotto and edamame cooked perfectly. The branzino tandoori was just so good and we loved the chickpeas in masala, and I'm not a fan of chickpeas. Our waiter Lee was great, we appreciated him last time we were there too. Oh and the bread and butter, to die for! We were going to go to Joe's Prime and Seafood but are glad we didn't, this place was so great again!

    Would recommend for a special meal for a couple. Very elegant but expensive for local patrons. But we really enjoyed being outdoors. Food tasty and presented beautifully, but not large servings (but adequate to share and server warned us of the size). Steak au poive very tender and flavorful. Price of wine (by glass) on the high end. Server, who was very professional and knowledgeable, was very responsive but was handling service in-side and out-side. Server did, however, rush an order of chicken tenders (not on menu, but on bar menu) for a very hungry 10 year old.

    NOTE: Open Table FORCES you to select COMPLIEMNTARY Statements to post a review...... We're told we were only allowed to have the buffet for breakfast even though we were told the full restaurant would be open for all meals. I had to go sit in my room and order oatmeal from room service since they would not serve me in the hotel restaurant or outside. Absolutely crazy. Horrible Service. The food service at this place is absolutely the worst. The food is decent, the wings are horrible and all breading, but the sushi is so so and the brussels sprouts are decent. Just not very good people working there. Unfriendly and unaccommodating.

    We were seated 20 minutes after our scheduled reservation. Our server forgot about us a few times. We purchased the Mother’s Day experience for $89 a person but we were not offered the complimentary champagne toast. The food was decent but we waited for our check and eventually had to track the server down so we could pay and leave. The 20% gratuity was included in the bill but certainly not warranted. Very dissatisfying and disappointing.

    The food at this hotel restaurant was phenomenal, and the service was exceptional. The presentation of the food was also wonderful - my dining companion had the chicken tagine, which was served in a gorgeous electric blue tagine (obviously), and I had the Salmon Bibimbap, served in a huge stone bowl. Loved every part of this place.

    The restaurant was very nice. It is located in The Darby. Get there a little early if you have reservation since you may have to look parking. They have valet if you want. The food and service was good. I also had the shrimp tempura and the Korean crispy chicken (not pictured). The bottomless mimosas were cool but given the emptiness of the restaurant (3-4 tables) I wish I didn't have to keep asking for refills. They also are pretty on point when it comes to ending at the mimosas at 2pm.

    We have come to Washington for a week and we have eaten at this restaurant twice now. Each time the food was amazing. On the first night we had the tomato and watermelon Barada salad and shrimp burgers. So simple and so delicious. We came back two nights later and again had the Barada salad but this time I had the paprika seared scallops with the lemon risotto, which was unbelievable. My husband had the grilled shrimp Robata. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

    First of all, the menu makes no sense. The sushi was terrible, the steak was under seasoned and dry, and the butternut squash soup was pretty bad and gimmicky (they served a bowl with flakes of cheese and proceeded to pour the soup on top as if it was fancy, but it really wasn’t). If you want to run a restaurant you need a strong menu that flows. I asked if they had nigiri and they didn’t know what it was, which I think is crazy for a sushi restaurant. The staff was friendly and nice and the venue itself was pretty, but it was dead quiet in there and uncomfortable. Wasn’t crazy expensive, but I would still rather eat chipotle over this place.

    I planned a birthday dinner for 12 and the day of, I needed to increase it to 15 people. I was told I would need to offer a limited dinner menu because of the increase but I could make my own picks. The food was absolutely delicious and our apps (multiple orders of Korean Wings, Brussel Sprouts and Tempura Shrimp) and entrees (NY Strip, Rabata, Scallops and Risotto) came out quickly. The drinks were great as well, although a bit slow to arrive. The smoked Old Fashioned was great! Our server, Syed, was funny and charming throughout the evening and gave a complimentary dessert for my birthday. 10 out of 10. Would definitely highly recommend. This was my second visit to the restaurant. I dined here once before, during Restaurant Week and glad I did.

    Went for a nice Friday night dinner. The service was slow overall, but then we got our first round of food and it was really tasty. We finally got our first round of drinks and mine was good but my partners was not. We ordered another round of food and drinks. My partner ordered a standard drink, not one of their cocktails. The waiter said that the bar tenders were “temps” so they didn’t know many drinks. So she ordered one of their cocktails. The food came and one of our second round of drinks came. The crispy Korean wings were so good! I didn’t love mine, and hers still hadn’t come. We finished the wings and her drink still hadn’t arrived. He apologized, comped the drink and brought it anyway. It wasn’t great either. So overall the bar situation was pretty rough and maybe they were just understaffed in general. Food was really good and the space is great. I would come back if the service and bar were better staffed.

    The ambiance is definitely classy and upscale so I expect so much more from this restaurant. Customer service was a bit lacking. The waiter seems like he was new and was forgetting to ask basic things like asking how I wanted my steak cooked before walking off. It was a very weird vibe that I couldn't put my finger on. The food was mediocre. The Petite filet was dry, over cooked and under seasoned. The cognac sauce and potatoes it came with were a delicious though. The Risotto faired a bit better and was actually very tasty with the scallops and shrimp. The NY strip was seasoned well and had the best potatoes of all 3 steak dishes. The shrimp cocktail was good as well and the cocktail sauce seemed freshly made. The salmon roll had no structural integrity. It presented well but basically crumbled as soon as it was picked up. It also sat for a bit and had gotten warm. But now to the wonderfully presented Heaven's Sakura, a $17 drink. The drink's presentation is gorgeous and you just know it's gonna be amazing...yea no. This drink either needs to be taken back to the drawing board or removed from the menu forever. This drink was DISGUSTING and was only finished because it was $17. It tasted like a drink you would mix as a kid on a dare. The crunch bar was the only thing on the menu I truly enjoyed it was delicious! I don't think I will be coming back since first impressions are everything and Gerrard's didn't pass the vibe check.

    Very nice ambience. The food was good. We had a range of diners from 3 to 37 and everyone enjoyed the food. Service was okay. They kept taking the menus and giving them to other tables as if they had a severe shortage; for a higher priced restaurant one would assume they could afford more menus. We had some food delivery issues as our order was given to a different table. The waiter was pleasant. Overall C +.

    Had for four outside. Very comfortable seating with heat lamps standing by if needed. It appeared they were low on servers, but so is everyone else. We were patient and it was worth it. The food was simply delicious. We'll be back.

    The Darcy Roll & Curried Shrimp soup were superb! The cherry blossom festival special dessert and cocktail were both amazing and so festive! My server was enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful. Probably some of the best service I've received at any restaurant!

    The service was horrible. Just getting our cocktails took over 15 min and the restaurant was extremely slow. I had to reserve our group with a Credit Card and had called to confirm we could have separate checks upon arrival and this was not the case. Our waiter did not want to take the time to separate it. Food was Ok but nothing to write home about. This is a one and done.

    There was no host or hostess to seat us, we had to flag down a server. When the host was called he insisted on literally walking us around the world to a seat near the kitchen door in a near empty restaurant. When we pointed to a booth, he became annoyed. We insisted on the booth, “FINE” he said with an attitude. I asked could you wipe the table with visible crumbs, he said no, and insisted we get up and once again go to a table, way in the back….where no one could see us…we looked at each other and said “Do we really want to eat here ?”. I think we were dressed like everyone else on a Sunday afternoon and one of us was Latino just like the host, so refusing to act like a “Karen “, we left. It became embarrassing when he started yelling “ What’s the matter, come back “, we didn’t. I’ve been to way too many restaurants around the world, for this nonsense.

    We had an anniversary dinner here and the receptionist was very accommodating with our seating request. We got our choices of seating as request, but the special anniversary treatment stops there. The cocktails were good. The food was excellent! We would go back for dinner again, but not for a special occasions.
